Loose Rap is such a underrated song. Its one of my Favorite Aaliyah songs I can listen to this song on Repeat all night its a very relaxing Urban chill Beat. R.I.P Baby Girl there will never be another like you.
Lamar Brown it wasn’t a single, but it is my favorite on the album. But I was on Instagram and someone asked me which is my favorite from the ‘Aaliyah’ and I stared Loose Rap...
Aaliyah's estate clearly isn't handled by smart individuals who don't wants to have her music exposed to new generations. Her music is barely anywhere. A shame. RIP Baby Girl & Static!
I don't agree with that honestly. What about her fans and some of the new generation who actually has a good ear for music and is catching on to Aaliyah's legacy. She wouldn't want that. It isn't about her death, it's about her music. People really just wanna hear her stuff again. I had to buy her albums from someone in Australia, like cmon
the best quality is from the CD and album itself. Her only album available in the US is her first one. I don't trust those websites, I rather buy her music legally, which I can't here.
Ashley McLean Get the Torrent downloader, you're actually downloading the album I have both her sophomore & final album on my phone.Or you can get physical copies on Amazon or EBay and just save them to your iTunes library.
From start to finish this album is an immediate classic. And the beats went hella hard, the production sounds like it was made in 3001. Futuristic ass hitssss
Wtf that’s literally EXACTLY what I said!!!!! She had an Aquarius rising and Aquarius is the most futuristic sign of the zodiac. I always say she’s futuristic too. Doesn’t matter if the year is 2100 or 3000, some of her songs will always be futuristic.
Don’t get me wrong I like people who take from the past and are present with the current trends, but it takes much more skill to be “futuristic” or “ahead of the times”.
This song is truly haunting since both Aaliyah and Static Major passed. It's such a great song and from a talented person. Probably my favorite non-single she's released.
this song is everything, and Aaliyah is easily draggin' the industry in these verses slay Queen. "if you just stop trying to compete yea, no telling what ya could be. might even be doper than me... i doubt it" she went off.
Whitney az well az Luther Vandross were DEFINITELY her inspirations! she use to sing there whole albums around her house and at functions, weddings in and around Detroit. She use to be a wedding singer! Jus' listen to anyone who had a heart by Luther and wen he hit that piercing falsetto u hear 'Liyah. Also Whitney's Jesus loves me at the end wen she sings dat crisp"yeahhh" breath control Aaliyah does the same on those were the days "yeah" I believe sec chorus background take.
I know it's so weird to listen to them both and they both were talented and dead. Her voice and his writing did their thing on this album. Great album but also ominous
That's crazy. I wasn't sure who the guy was on the track...Aaliyah's music makes me want to learn how to play different instruments that I have been wanting to learn 4yrs. I REALLY want to learn how to play the drums so I can play some of her songs.
I never heard this song from her until now. This might be my favorite song by her, its like that 2000's chill out vibe music. I miss her presence so much, her music is definetly timeless and is definitely better than some of the music being made right now lol which is sad and good at the same time
Facts. My best friend had just picked up this CD when my wife & I were visiting his family. This track came on & I thought, "game changer". I bought the CD the next day & my wife hijacked it for a year for her car. Actually, I still haven't seen it...😃
So wish I would have kept my Aaliyah cd, couldn’t listen to it anymore after she passed... I remember it like it was yesterday and I didn’t even know her!! I pray wherever she is, she is happy!!!!
I remember chilling at home when I was a little kid. My mom got me this CD. I would kick back and play Pokémon silver on my Gameboy color handheld game listening to this song on repeat with the rest of the album.Memories 😍😭
@@KiaFree It's like what Andy Bernard from The Office said in one of its last episodes, "I wish there was a way to know you're living in the good ol' days while you're in them." 😩
Nice. I was starting 4th grade after or when she passed. Wish I was 5-6 years older so I didn't experience high school when mainstream music went down the tube in late 2005 and 2006
+Malie Haughton i had read that this was Supposed to be the first single, BUT a certain somebody said the album not complete without my production *cough* timbaland*cough* and voila there you have it.. lmao
I will say aaliyah carried a presence that no woman have today she was sweet but yet so mysterious and dark sexy demeanor and a very smooth effortless way how she comes across.... its just sad that after her the generation depleted no one holds a torch not beyonce not rihanna not katty perry ,britney spears, cassie, all the new artist and some of the old artist like beyonce is just toxic waste and the same happen to rap music and 2pac its just sad....so sad
I love this song so much. Aaliyah recorded one hell of an album to leave us with. I still listen to babygirl, but sometimes it's hard to watch or listen to certain songs (rock the boat, more than a woman, I care for u) all in all, Aaliyah was the total package. She had style, class, talent, and was gorgeous. She was so humble, and even though people say she was on her way to superstardom, I felt like she was already there when this album dropped. But Background Records was cheating her horribly. She needed a better label.

This was always my FAVORITE and ironically Aaliyahs favorite as well. While futuristic it also has a very mysterious feel to it. I especially love her melisma and deep vocal quills near the end.
