Loved this sound, especially during movie marathons. Everyone would be doing shit getting popcorn or chatting and whatever, but when we hear this instantly everyone shuts up and stops screwing around.

This noise used to scare the living shit out of me. My dad would scare me with it by turning the volume of the tv up to max whenever it played before a movie, and needless to say, i would have nightmares about it later that night.

One day, when I was a kid, I went and played around with the volume potentiometer on me dad's Hi-Fi system... Needless to say that when I finally found the power button and pressed it, this shit blasted at MAXIMUM VOLUME and I felt like the Four Horsemen were coming to get me at that instant moment. Since then I shiver whenever I hear this shit.
I used to play around with my tv remote and I pressed the power button but since I played with my remote the volume was at max and then the thx logo

I love the original THX trailer. Simple, but so impactful. Hearing the sound starting out from all around you before the creshendo swells... chills.

you're performing Sound Checks on your Equipment and have no reason to? Thats one of the conditions of 'Audiophileitis'; there is no cure... the only Treatment is a loud 5.1/7.1 Surround Sound System, and a Desire to piss off the Neighborhood.. xD LMAO

@@-s-3508 I’ve tried various methods using other tracks, (rap, Hip-Hop, Country, Blues, and “Apocalyptica”) for sound Calibrations.. but “Deep Note” always got the job done right. And I still do it to annoy the neighbours. Lmfao 😂

This playing in the middle of the night in a room only lit up by the telly was an absolutely horrifying experience. Still scares me to this day.

Because of my Dad anytime we watched a movie with THX in it I've had six sleep paralysis moments where it'd be the THX logo slowly getting closer to me as the sound became more and more violently louder. Not going to lie, when I was nine I had my first paralysis moment with the THX logo and it scared me so bad I pissed the fucking bed.
