Please Afie. Let me buy these live to tapes - have money, will give! Loved seeing you at the Bluebird in Denver who knows long when back. I'd love to see you in State College, PA. I'd say I would bring all the kids out to see you, but I'll I've been doing since we got here is work from home and ride bikes. So I'd at least bring my wifey along. You're right up there with Radiohead in my book.
0:00 Waves 5:00 Opening Act 9:59 Bitter Memories 13:44 Hockey Teeth 17:29 In Control 24:39 Sunshine Blues im not a longtime fan or anything but bahamas has quickly become my favorite band. i picked up guitar a few months ago about the same time i found this band and playing along to these live episodes has been such a joy for me. thank you afie!
Going through all of these LTTs ahead of Bootcut and boy and I'm getting Bootcut vibes from this one. Love the slightly quicker tempo in a lot of these renditions compared to the originals. Small changes change the whole feel of the songs
One of the characteristics of a good song is its adaptability to universal expression and this series has prove that these songs have that kind of input into multiple genres seamlessly! One of the more enjoyable musical adventures of this year.
These have all been great, but this one was surprisingly one of my favourites; I thought I'd miss the drums but the mando player has the 2 and 4 chomps on lockdown. Great solos on the dobro and mando as well, very musical set.
Lovely. Would love a video showing how they record these. Does the band record first or are they actually playing together in real-time from two different countries? Damn impressive if so.
Nice. I think I first saw them at Telluride BGF, which leans super progressive. I bought one of those upright basses you see here, too, because it was like one band after another played them. I think Sam Bush’s bass player just brings one to share. Great sesh.
'Not Out of Control' song.....sounds like Pure Prairie League/Marshall Tucker Band. The Mandolin player's voice has got that Marshall Tucker Band sound.
For a hot second there I thought I read vocal sandwiches. Already excited for this episode but that put it on a whole new level. Just as quickly realizing that's not the case .. I still find it intriguing that sandwiches are mentioned. They must be some beaut sammies. 👌🏻👍🏻✌🏻💜🎵🎶
Hey Aifi, why arent the Live sessions on CD? IMO they're capture your essence much better than the stuff I heard on spotify - except Earthtones. These live sessions are amazing?
Magic 🪄

Sunshine blues....so damn beautiful.
The fact that only 13,000 plus people have viewed this is wild.

Bahamas and bluegrass, that works! Masterful musicality, thank you for doing these sessions. When are u coming to Australia?

Yes. Dreams do in fact come true
These versions of Waves & Bitter Memories were haunting & amazing.
I didn’t even realize there was no drummer till several songs in. Beautiful.

Is that a Floyd Rose on a resonator?!
mmm sangwich
Why on earth do the musicians need all those guitar effects on the floor?
You’d be surprised what it takes to sound polished and professional. The effects can be the difference between world class and amateur hour.
Greensky jumps between acoustic bluegrass and almost full on rock music, they need to be able to have dynamic output options.
@@nickreeder99 Full rock music with mandolines? Juicy…
