When Bobcat just sits there, calm and content and gave Kevin the occasional headbutt (the ultimate kitteh sign of affection) my heart completely melted. I wish more people had this kind of calm nature with animals. There is no better feeling in the world when an animal shares an unspoken bond with you. This video is full of love and trust. When I was a child, it was my biggest dream to have a friend-relationship with a real lion. In some way these videos make my dream come true. I can watch these videos, imagine myself in it and at least have an idea of what it would really be like! I will never lose this strong affection towards lions. One of my life-goals is to volunteer in a Wildlife Conservation Park and get in touch with them one day. I'm so grateful for your videos. It's like you are a real lion that has turned into a human and making a reality show for us now. It gives me such a great insight into the lion's life, wonderful! Thank you!
You should watch more of his videos specially meet the characters series. Lions can have different personalities. Some of his lions like Icarus and suja are skittish and quite afraid of some things.

I think they roll in it to mask their scent. Think about it, if you are an zebra and you smell elephant poo, you think you are ok, until a big fat lion ambushes you - a lion that rolled in elephant poo to mask its scent. Its quite ingenious and shows you the high degree of adaptation and evolution when it comes to lions !
It's the only reason. Predators are usually trying to mask their scent. Another technique is to determine wind direction and place themselves in a way the prey would not smell them.

Angelo IMO Bobcat is a loving, trusting lion with those he knows; with strangers, not at all. As it should be. Kevin even says he doesn't like strangers getting close or looking him in the eye, and he'll growl to let you know his displeasure. But look at Bobcat interacting with Gabby and Kevin. He's affectionate and playful. To me, he's a great lion!

Where love is always fresh and strong and doesn't fade with time. Excitement and fun in all we do. No thought or time for boredom, no harsh words, pain or cruelty a smile on every face. ANIMALS loved and cared for no mangy coats or starving strays. The joyful laughter of children not a tear in sight. No fear, just faith and trust. An everlasting life, illness a non existent word. Some years ago I have visited a lion park close to Jo'burg when I was on a business trip. On this occasion I could watch the lions when they were fed. Whow, these animals are so powerful. I am really impressed how Kevin is dealing with these big cats … I really love it.
What a joy to walk with these creatures while Gabi hunts prey like a wild, free lioness. I envy you so much. These animals are treasures of this planet. Bobcat is a super-star. What an honour to hang out with him.
Oh I could stare at them all day. I don't think a Human could be more blessed than Kevin, to walk with Lions. Just love how they flip their front paws as they walk. Our house cats do too
Knowing the tremendous strength of these two lions and that they are not domesticated, it’s amazing to see the rapport that has been established between this man and the lions. We have all seen what a lion can do to even a Cape Buffalo, many more sizes then they are and yet they both show no aggression whatever towards this man. He has truly developed something very special with them, a unique experience that none of us could possibly share personally.
"You are looking at a formidable lion." As Bobcat snuggles the shit out of him. Believe you me. I completely respect and understand that I would never get up in Bobcats personal space. It always amazes that as much as he is formidable, how social and caring lions are to one another and of course Kevin.
The bond you have with these lions, shows that love is not limited to humans, but crosses all manner of species. In a perfect world, man and nature coexist in perfect harmony, united by love. This is the future we must fight for.

What a joy to walk with these creatures while Gabi hunts prey like a wild, free lioness. I envy you so much. These animals are treasures of this planet. Bobcat is a super-star. What an honour to hang out with him.

That is absolutely amazing. Thank you for educating me. Never would have thought it possible. The affection between you and Bobcat Is awe inspiring.
Knowing the tremendous strength of these two lions and that they are not domesticated, it’s amazing to see the rapport that has been established between this man and the lions. We have all seen what a lion can do to even a Cape Buffalo, many more sizes then they are and yet they both show no aggression whatever towards this man. He has truly developed something very special with them, a unique experience that none of us could possibly share personally.
"You are looking at a formidable lion." As Bobcat snuggles the shit out of him. Believe you me. I completely respect and understand that I would never get up in Bobcats personal space. It always amazes that as much as he is formidable, how social and caring lions are to one another and of course Kevin.
The bond you have with these lions, shows that love is not limited to humans, but crosses all manner of species. In a perfect world, man and nature coexist in perfect harmony, united by love. This is the future we must fight for.
