U want to observe and oww and ahh so be it. However, follow rules and use common sense that applies. Common sense is not so common, sadly. .

Not spoil the fun, but this statement needs to be amended for the modern realities: "A braver man stands up for those who can't stand for themselves and who need it." Otherwise this statement could very well influence SJWs.
I think Kevin hit the nail on the head. His lions aren't actively doing something for conservation, but I think I speak for more people than just myself when I say that these videos have given me a new found love for lions, it has made me aware how lions are losing habitat at a staggering loss, that their numbers have dropped by 90% and that if we continue down this path, we might not have any more lions in the wild in a few decades. And all of this thanks to Kevin's videos. Spreading awareness is so incredibly important. The world needs to know, and they deserve to know that these beautiful creatures are possibly facing extinction. And if that bothers you, you can do something about it. I think Kevin can be immensely proud that he's become a teacher and allow his lions to be ambassadors to a global audience.
It always puts a smile on my face seeing how happy they are when you come by to visit. I can't even imagine the actual amount of time and effort (and bruises) it took to build such a relationship. Not only Meg and Amy, but the trust all the animals show in you speaks volumes about their treatment. It's beautiful, thank you for sharing this with us.
With Kev saving Amy and Meg from drowning and then feeding them every 2 hours for as long as they needed it, How could they help but love him. I wonder if they imprinted on Kev.

She understood from the tone of Kev's voice as he was about to end the video, and got up. What a smart cat she is. And the way she constantly rubs her head against Kevin.... she is literally a dime.
I thought he ended the video because she got up. He’s said before that the lions get tired of him talking too much sometimes, so he’s cognitive of when they get restless.

I have worked with, loved, and shared a special, heartfelt bond with every creature that I have come into contact since a child. I've worked with the Humane Society of Missouri, USA as a shelter assistant, adoption counselor, and surgery assistant and have learned so much from the animals. It is the kind of work that makes you want to come back the next day, over and over. I have also worked at the Missouri Botanical Garden and was completely engaged and fascinated. I would give an arm or a leg to have the opportunity to graciously work the way that you and your crew beautifully does. I have two cats and a ferret ( since babies) and they are the light and loves of my life. I wanted to share that I absolutely cannot get enough of your cute, sweet high-pitched voice when communicating with the lions and especially when you were with the hyena saying, "Are you having a good time?" Meg’s demeanor the whole time is so trusting and loving. She leans toward him, and she’s is so calm and still. You can watch her eyes start to close and her ears and paws are so relaxed and Amy as well she trusts her back toward him. These animals have always fascinated me they are my favorite animal! I love the way Kevin respects them more than the way he loves them. Lion, after all, is a royal animal and deserves that. These lions don't look the sorry types found in captivity. Nor do they appear agitated. Physically and mentally they look very healthy. If the goal of conservation is to inspire awe and affection towards these majestic beings and help protect them from mindless killings, then by all accounts you are spot on, Kevin!

16 years, I haven't even had a dog live past 8. One had a heart just issue before Christmas, then one with GME and then next was cancer. So i can't even begin to comprehend the heart ache you will endure when one passes after such a long time. Anyway, i love the videos Kevin. Babysitting the grandbabies (10, 4, 10months) I pulled up a couple of your videos on the TV. The questions from the 10 yr old were very interest. Clearly he was paying attention and asked smart questions. Thank God I pay attention to you so I could answer some. 4 was mostly wanting to pet the big kitties too, but also fascinated. The 10 month old just tracked the motion but it's a start. Who knows when a video will change the world.

People always think that kev is the lion whisperer and it's his natural state to bond with lions. Even with the documentaries out there people might just think he work with lions long enough to get the bonding. That was all only part of the truth. From this video alone we can hear and understand from those answers you can see how much effort kev have put in for these lions. How much he have to read, research, trial and errors. Even today he is still learning and reading all about them everyday. What a passion and a huge heart for the wild. These animals definitely feel bliss with you by their side good work!

Meg, Amy, and you Kevin, have certainly contributed to lion conservation by inspiring me. I am a weekly volunteer at Lions, Tigers, and Bears in Alpine, California. Although the animals I am closest to happen to be 2 cougars, and 2 tigers, I have just begun forming a bond with a beautiful lioness, who retired from circus performances, with her pride mates. "Arusha" has for 3 occasions now, laid down next to the fencing of her huge habitat, and rolled on her back right next to where I've sat on the other side, and just seemed to like me talking to her. 2 other lions she's always with, tend to walk away, uninterested. But Arusha has stayed with me for an hour. This is very exciting. We are a no-contact facility, and I have not known any of the cats since they were cubs, except for the 2 tigers. All the cats in the sactuary are rescues. But Nola and Moka, (2 of 6 tigers) came to us as cubs. So they pretty much like everybody. My having a relationship with any of our lionesses was a complete surprise. My work takes me 6 hours in the morning, plus I spend extra time specifically with the 4 cats I mentioned. Arusha makes 5. They all are amazing. Thanks to you, Meg & Amy, I am helping these other big cats have a good home.
Thank you for your video series. I think what's valuable about the lessons we can learn from these films is that despite lions fearsome reputations, if you take the time to sit with them and bond with them then they can be tame and affectionate and relatively straight forwards to deal with if you have put the time and effort into developing a relationship with them, like a cat or dog, just on a much larger scale. I think she was telling you at the end when she yawned, she could have put your whole head in her mouth, but she didn't because you were her friend, she trusted you and you trusted her. These big cats are so beautiful and majestic. Getting to sit quietly with them to know them and learn from them in a respectful way is just as important in the conservation world if not more than just forcing them as captive animals to breed for show which sometimes can be traumatising and unnatural and stresssful for these beautiful creatures of the wild. ✌
So much respect for the lion whisperer(Kevin).Truly the best caretaker in the world for these amazing animals. The prime creator truly gave him a passion & understanding of these amazing animals. It's special seeing the love he has for each animal. His relationships with each individual animal is special as well. Salute & support 100.

You’re right, Kevin. I think there are some conservation benefits with captive lions when it comes to educational outreach. I would have never thought about Land For Lions or your Foundation if these videos didn’t exist.

You educate us mightily and your philosophy and thinking regarding wild lions, contrasted with the why and the wherefore of captive lions, is valuable and much appreciated. I don't have any lions myself (living in the American southwest - though I do have plenty of little lizards running about here in the "high" desert and at great altitude - 2200 meters in elevation) but I am and have always been a "cat person," though I must admit to finding your often goofy-acting hyenas attractive. Again and sincerely, you are helping the world, natural and constructed, to be a better place to live in.
I swear I'm addicted to watching these videos. We have a sanctuary here in CO where there are over 300 rescued lions, tigers, bear, etc... It would be awesome if they too did videos.
You are bringing us an awareness to something we would never see! The relationship and trust that you have gained is certainly something special. 16 years, I haven't even had a dog live past 8. One had a heart just issue before Christmas, then one with GME and then next was cancer.
So i can't even begin to comprehend the heart ache you will endure when one passes after such a long time.
Anyway, i love the videos Kevin. Keep up your work spreading the knowledge of the plight of lions. It's sad to hear in my life time they maybe gone. But with your work i pray not. :)

Babysitting the grandbabies (10, 4, 10months) I pulled up a couple of your videos on the TV. The questions from the 10 yr old were very interest. Clearly he was paying attention and asked smart questions. Thank God I pay attention to you so I could answer some. 4 was mostly wanting to pet the big kitties too, but also fascinated. The 10 month old just tracked the motion but it's a start. Who knows when a video will change the world.

People always think that kev is the lion whisperer and it's his natural state to bond with lions. Even with the documentaries out there people might just think he work with lions long enough to get the bonding. That was all only part of the truth.
From this video alone we can hear and understand from those answers you can see how much effort kev have put in for these lions. How much he have to read, research, trial and errors.
Even today he is still learning and reading all about them everyday.
What a passion and a huge heart for the wild.

Meg, Amy, and you Kevin, have certainly contributed to lion conservation by inspiring me. I am a weekly volunteer at Lions, Tigers, and Bears in Alpine, California. Although the animals I am closest to happen to be 2 cougars, and 2 tigers, I have just begun forming a bond with a beautiful lioness, who retired from circus performances, with her pride mates. "Arusha" has for 3 occasions now, laid down next to the fencing of her huge habitat, and rolled on her back right next to where I've sat on the other side, and just seemed to like me talking to her. 2 other lions she's always with, tend to walk away, uninterested. But Arusha has stayed with me for an hour. This is very exciting. We are a no-contact facility, and I have not known any of the cats since they were cubs, except for the 2 tigers. All the cats in the sactuary are rescues. But Nola and Moka, (2 of 6 tigers) came to us as cubs. So they pretty much like everybody. My having a relationship with any of our lionesses was a complete surprise. My work takes me 6 hours in the morning, plus I spend extra time specifically with the 4 cats I mentioned. Arusha makes 5. They all are amazing. Thanks to you, Meg & Amy, I am helping these other big cats have a good home.
Thank you for your video series. I think what's valuable about the lessons we can learn from these films is that despite lions fearsome reputations, if you take the time to sit with them and bond with them then they can be tame and affectionate and relatively straight forwards to deal with if you have put the time and effort into developing a relationship with them, like a cat or dog, just on a much larger scale. I think she was telling you at the end when she yawned, she could have put your whole head in her mouth, but she didn't because you were her friend, she trusted you and you trusted her. These big cats are so beautiful and majestic. Getting to sit quietly with them to know them and learn from them in a respectful way is just as important in the conservation world if not more than just forcing them as captive animals to breed for show which sometimes can be traumatising and unnatural and stresssful for these beautiful creatures of the wild. ✌

It's special seeing the love he has for each animal. His relationships with each individual animal is special as well. Salute & support 100.

You’re right, Kevin. I think there are some conservation benefits with captive lions when it comes to educational outreach. I would have never thought about Land For Lions or your Foundation if these videos didn’t exist.

You educate us mightily and your philosophy and thinking regarding wild lions, contrasted with the why and the wherefore of captive lions, is valuable and much appreciated. I don't have any lions myself (living in the American southwest - though I do have plenty of little lizards running about here in the "high" desert and at great altitude - 2200 meters in elevation) but I am and have always been a "cat person," though I must admit to finding your often goofy-acting hyenas attractive. Again and sincerely, you are helping the world, natural and constructed, to be a better place to live in.
