Do you understand that GOD literally gives you everything that you have. He gives you your ho.e,car, job, friends family and food. Every moment of every day in your life comes from GOD. And he can take it all away at any time he chooses. There's nothing you have or do that doesn't come from him.

This is heartbreaking. Don't be too harsh. I was abandoned by all in 2010. I did have income to rent but the place I was renting gave me sewer gas poisoning. I ended up in the hospital. I got out and called a cab and went to the state park. I paid my taxi, got my vehicle, got a tent and got my thyroid meds and my dog and lived in a small tent. I have a state park unlimited pass. I was not so hurt by the struggle, but those that were supposed to care about me did not and that is a ping of pain I live with daily. A long road I had to take back to a comfortable home and learned how to live in God's Grace. I am not a drug addict, I am not a drinker, I worked hard all my life and took care of my babies as a single parent. So don't ever think you are better than anyone else because if it could happen to me, it could happen to you too. I came out a much stronger person than I was going in. My ex that abandoned me left me with a 10,000 debt I knew nothing of but Thank God I was relieved. And even so called friends that had bedrooms did not offer. These are friends I had helped so many times. They owe me nothing. They only called and said what cha gonna do? What did they think I was going to do? Actually I enjoyed my camping. I stayed for 11 per night. I had water, electricity, and a small refrigerator, microwave, toaster, and my tv. I had internet on my phone. I decided hey, my suv is in great shape and I had everything I needed, so I decided to travel. But my best friend did however get her parents to come get me. But her mom was a little abusive. I will not get into that. Vulnerable people get abused just because they are vulnerable. But the main thing that I am saying here is please do not be harsh. It could happen to anyone.

They have offered homeless people shelter but some turned it down because they don’t want to live by the rules of where they were going to live. And when they gave some a place to live 1 room, with a kitchen and a bathroom someone started a fire and burned down about 15 or so units they do try to help them.

What were the pre-planned Homeless rehabilitation programs in place the day this obviously, well- organized sweep of the beach took place? Was there a large temporary shelter set up with counselors, telephones to contact relatives/friends, a safe place to get a meal and sleep for a limited time, representatives from organizations that help people get off drugs, find employment, find their lost sense of dignity? There is no doubt-tent cities should not be allowed. Not only do they bring down the property value and tax revenue of an area, but they worsen the life condition of the people there. Disease, depression, easy access to drugs, the “acceptance” of criminal activity as a way to survive…reallocate some of the funds (not all), used for “cleaning up” the beach every few months to fund programs that will reduce the need for “clean up”. No, everyone won’t get better and lead a suburban soccer-mom van life. But there are many, a great many, of people that got off track, that can lead a more fulfilling life, given a little guidance towards alternative opportunities.

I live in a heavily populated homeless drug addicted area. I used to have empathy. What I witness first hand is the young children going to school passing drug addicts shooting up, helping each other shoot up. They smoke frnty and pass it around like candy. They beg aggressively in parking lots, outside of stores, etc. The shops close early and lock everything up even toothbrushes. They break into our vehicles, homes and go through the garbage. They dedicate and urinate in our yards, doorsteps and sidewalks. You can't go for walks even in daytime because you may get mugged. The filth and trash They leave behind is horrendous. They fall around in drunken stupor and are frozen from fenty in the streets. I must drive with my windows up and car locked just in my own area. If you value it keep it in your home. A huge dog in the house and yard are a necessary as well as flood lights all around your property. They take over public parks and bus stops in groups of 5 or more. Same with the convenience stores which they rob and steal blind. There are drug dealers everywhere. If a person has a backpack, water, blanket and a bike you know they are homeless, transient, etc. We hate it! As a community member and taxpayer it is impossible to live with this and the gunfire we hear at night. Institutions were the only way to deal with this, they get clean or medically regulated. They can give job training and LI housing otherwise death is a better deal than what I've seen. You can't depend on family so you have to gri d and be strong. I had a tough childhood but my drug was hard work not drugs and alcohol. I'm sorry but I've had it! No sympathy from me.

@@charronrose68 FYI, My God can judge me and he will! But people like you have no bearing on my beliefs. I had a horrible childhood, I didn't cry about it. I'm a Veteran, served my country, saw horrible things and got on with life. I am a retired LEO of 30 years and saw horrible things, I raised my children, one disabled with no government help. I work each day retired for 10 to 12 hours and will probably continue til its my time to go and then my Lord will judge me but not YOU or anyone else because you don't matter to me. You do you and maybe take a grammer lesson or two. Adios!

Too many. Soon, they'll require a $5 deposit for the use of the cart, at the stores, that will be returned when turned in.

It is getting to the point that they are loosing so much money. At the ALDI store in my town, the carts are chained together and you have to put 25 cents in the slot to be able to get a cart and use. I am surprised they have not gone up on them.

Nowadays street homeless and are fentanyl addicts, and not capable of doing anything no matter how simple it is. Street encampments are open air drugs markets brewing all sorts of crime. Majority of them will die from fentanyl overdose, or drugs related violence. Second hand fentanyl smoke can easily kill you in no time. Street homeless gradually destroy everything around themselves. We will never reduce street homelessness without reducing the amount of fentanyl drug available on our streets. If they can afford, they smoke fentanyl up to 100 times a day. That's how all these fires are started. Homeless advocates are mentally stuck in Pathological Altruism, and all they do is enabling fentanyl addicts remain as close as possible to their fentanyl supplier.

I unwittingly bought a "homeless corner". I would have to call Home Depot in advance, because I would worry that I could get arrested if someone saw six carts in the back of my truck, before I could explain I was simply returning them...

They were removing homeless tents by the Gold's Gym and put about 6 new shopping carts right in the trash truck and crushed them, what a waste, they cost $200 each, they should just park them on the corner and get the shopping cart recovery service to pick them up,
