I'll be the first to admit, I probably needed to pull the camera a little further back and decrease the margins to minimize apparent eye movement and make it look like I'm looking more directly into the camera, but overall not too bad for a first attempt don't you think?
If you didn't particularly tell us, we wouldn't know you're using a prompter. I'd say you did pretty awesome for a first time...😁
Increase the text size 1.5-2x and try to have the text centered (have black bars on the side)

One advice from a guy who works in broadcasting, make the text bigger, finding the right size for the text is the key to stop your eyes from traveling left and right, also great Video Thanks for sharing

Bought a TMP100 for telework recording of video podcasts and interview segments. Incredibly easy setup and mounting on a Manfrotto BeFree mini-collapsable tripod. Nikon D850 with 85mm fits easily. Add some lights and a USB mic and I have a quick, high-quality home studio on my dining room table. Incredibly intuitive functionality with iPad running PromptSmart. Nice review! I bought this model as well using it with a Sony A7 M-II and a 35mm lense. Even with my 28(-70)mm… zoom lense I didn't have issues. I will try 16mm - we will see.

Thank you for the review, I found a way to present my videos using Powerpoint slides in a Teleprompter, to avoid scripting myself out completely by including bullet points, would it be a better option than following word-for-word script?

What kind of stand are you using in this video?
How much did this speed up your workflow? I'm currently having to look at my script and trying to remember each line and most of the time I end up getting so frustrated that I adlib most of it. I end up deviating from my script too much and it causes more problems than I need.
I keep seeing photos of this product online and the back seems to have two different variations. I just ordered it off amazon, and it shows a more sturdy back with the logo on it, the same as this video. Some videos/photos in the reviews show a more flimsy fabric. Is there a difference? I'm confused!

Thanks for the video, thumbs up! Will the Glide Gear work with my Canon Vixia G60 camcorder? I noticed you are using a Canon camcorder yourself in the video, is that correct? As you know a camcorder has a built-in short lens so I want to make sure the Glide Gear teleprompter is compatible to fit the camcorder. Also, I noticed there are different versions of the Glide Gear, one model is called the 500 something, I think. Which model exactly will fit my Canon G60 camcorder if you might the answer. Did you ever experience any glare like if you put on a mist filter? This occurs mostly when you have practicals in the shot.
Can you please make a simple video on how to assemble the entire glide gear TMP 100 onto the Coman-type tripod? And film what it looks like on the underside and go over an explanation of the functionality of each knob and screw does, and where it goes? The instructions In the glidegear Teleprompter package are not simple enough for me and I don’t see any of the parts labeled in the instructions🤷🏻♀️🤕🤕It is supposed to attach to a Q5 video ballhead, which then rests inside of the tripod leg extension socket🤷🏻♀️ how do I know if it is assembled correctly?
teleprompter glass is also very important for a clear text reading.
Question: Did you have any issues with your ipad "showing" in the video ? I did, how close (or how far) do you keep your camera from the glass.
No issues. My lens was very close to the glass.
Hi Stan what size iPad will this hold? I have the large iPad Pro 12.9inch. Will that fit and will the mirroring of the text be ok on the reading area or will it cut off the edges due to the ipad size?
I just bought one and the 12.9” iPad Pro will NOT fit. However, they sell a larger model which will work.

Thank you for the Info, another helpful option, I had convert and mirror-flip Powerpoint slides for my iPad and use with a Glide Gear TMP100 prompter and a bluetooth pedal page flip to switch the slides? I have flipped the slides using ppt-mirror.com tool, the option is far much better than apps that forces me to read word for word.
Do you hand the brand and model of the remote you use?

Oh it will work just fine. Just didn’t think any one spending this kind of money on a teleprompter would prefer filming on a phone.

Dunno, it worked for me just fine. My only thought is maybe try moving the camera either closer to the glass or further back.

would you worry to convert and mirror-flip PowerPoint slides for your Ipad using the www.ppt-mirror.com tool and use it in a teleprompter? this option helps you not to memorize the script and the tool doesn't force you to read word for word and you look directly into the camera, eye contact with your audience ... best wishes
Did you find a solution to this? It’s not the iPad we can see… it’s the clamp at the edge of the iPad holder.
