Beth , I love your gentle nature , your unpretentious way of developing a quilt , no fuss , no hard selling , just a joy for this lovely craft . Sending love and pleasure watching you from the U.K. X
Thank you for giving me my quilt mojo back! Like many I have been struggling during this pandemic. I discovered your podcast because I decided to make a log cabin quilt for my sister! After finding your half log cabin quilt and looking at many other quilts of yours my head is full of projects that I cant wait to start! I love the low key presentation. You are not trying to sell anything, you are just sharing your love of quilting and your simplified way of doing things!
I love this approach! I tend to over think everything which prevents me from getting anything done. I love that you just sit down with scraps and go 🤩 Thank you for sharing this video!
Beth, you are such a pleasure to watch! So relaxing. After having Pancreatic cancer and not sewing for almost 2 years, you are bringing me back! Thank you sew much!
Simple and so pretty. Will be easy to put batting and backing on, with machine. Love how you seem to just throw a pattern together. Great for new quilters.
I love how you don't try to sell products. Just using things up is what I like. I have to be thrifty not only in my sewing room. I have been going to resale stores and the amount of fabric I get and sheets oh my goodness. So glad for your sewing room. You have given so much inspiration. The last 4 weeks I have made a quilt a week and gifted everyone of them. Now I am finally making myself 1 all from thrifted fabric even the backing. Thank you
You are my new favorite! I binged on all your videos. So inspiring to try new things. Scrappy is my favorite and you are a down to earth quilter that gives hope to those of us that are fairly new to quilting. Your style is not difficult and I just love your videos.
I love your videos so much! I am a total beginner and was feeling really overwhelmed by the quilting process but your videos, your kind and calming voice, and instructions and getting to watch the process helps so much and I'm feeling excited to start again! Thank you so much
I thought I was about to see Eleanor Burns’ quilt in a day. You are using beautiful fabrics and have a wonderful relaxed way of handling the future quilt. I am glad I stayed to watch. Thank you.
You have inspired me to not be afraid to just do piecework quilting. Im going to make a memory quilt out of my moms nighties and little dustcoats she used to wear. I hope i make her proud making a quilt for my sister and myself and something for her home attendant that took so much care of her. Thank you so much so easy❤❤❤❤❤❤
I’m so inspired by your quilting. Every quilt is beautiful and unique. Your method of construction is uncomplicated and easy going. How your uses of fabrics and scraps is so much fun to see. Thank you Beth, I love your channel. ❤😊
I loved this! What amazes me is that you didn't talk to yourself while you were creating your masterpiece. No mistakes, no cursies. You are an inspiration! Thanks for sharing your art with us.
That is the cutest quilt top ever. I can see it spread out under a tree for a picnic, or on a teenagers bed. Love watching the calmness you use to make your quilts.
I just stumbled upon your channel. I love your videos! No excess chatter, just sewing and you taught me an easier way to make a hexagon quilt in another video. I appreciate you 🙏
Thanks for showing such a neat way to quickly make a quilt! I donate mine to several different charities and this is a GREAT way for me to use up my scraps and quickly send out multiple quilts in just a matter of a couple of weeks.
This is wonderful! It is good for those who struggle with quarter inch seam allowances and those who are overrun by scraps! Your colors look Terrific together. I could see it being done as I-spy too! Thank you, Beth!
I loved this. I am taking a beginner quilting class at a university extension and they have me so terrified about the need to be so precise and controlled and iron the “right way” (only press down, never slide the iron). It is such a relief to see an experienced quilter just flow with the work and to see that it can come out amazing, You have made me feel free,
I am happy that quilting has room for ALL kinds of quilters. 🙂 I have been in classes that had a lot of rules and I did struggle. There are usually good reasons for the rules....but it's kind of fun to break rules...especially when it doesn't hurt anybody! 😆
Catherine why do they sell yhe Kona in jelly rolls if its not for quilting? I know what you mean, though. I haven't started cutting fabric, but she is building my confidence daily.
Just found this quilt tutorial and love the way your colour choices reflect all the colours in the lovely 'fruir salad' square in the middle, avery dear family friend made me a dress from similsr fabric back in the late 1950s just loved the dress and fabric, thank you for your inspiration just finished a quilt the first for nearly 2years due to ill health but got my mojo back and try to get a couple of 2hr stints to sew each day, its helped my mental health a lot to be creating again. Blessings
It's perfect...I love the simplicity of the construction of this quilt..sometimes simple is best...and it turned out fabulous! Definately making this one..thanks for the inspiration
This is an inspiration as I look for ideas for charity and kids quilts. Something attainable, productive use of odds and ends of fabrics and mission accomplished. Thanks
Beth! This was one of the original videos that attracted me to your channel! I came back today looking for something to watch and chose this quilt. So glad I did! I love your channel and I love this recipe! Please tell me if you can remember, it looks like the outside border is perhaps 6 inches or 8 inches? I guess it really doesn't matter. I can make it my own. Thank you for your channel! I spend lots of time learning from you by watching! 💙
I love watching videos and I agree they are relaxing to watch with listen to the music and the sewing machine! I love the look of how you use your scraps in a quilt!
Such a simple idea and it turned out stunning. Thank you for sharing. It keeps me inspired!! UPDATE: I watched this again 3 months later and I am still blown away by it. Thank you for all you share with us, Beth. You are so kind.
Your approach is so good. I have been binge watching you and learning so much. I’m using my scraps. I’ve been busy for the last two weeks cutting fabric from the biggest squares to the 1-1/2 inch strips. It’s amazing what I’ve found. It’s all about quilts this year. Your music is soothing. Thank you.
Such a simple quilt with maximum impact. How relaxing to just see, with no complicated instructions to follow. Thanks. I may try something like this. Your color and fabric choices are beautiful.
This is my favorite video. I like that it’s scrappy. I’m sewing some patchwork quilts for several of my son’s teachers. This will be my first time adding a border. So I’m watching this video over and over until I’m confident before I add my border. I know you have others videos but I like this one and this is the first that comes up when I search for you.
Oh my goodness... I love your way of quilting.. I made quilts before not really knowing what approach to take and recently started a quilt for our newest grandbaby and it was awful I was about to scrap the entire thing, then I saw your videos and decided to try this one.. I absolutely love the way it came out..and still used what I had made just changed the arrangement. this is one quilt I am really proud of..plus no ANXIETY it was the least stressed I have ever been so, many thanks to you.. keep these videos coming. 💖💖💖
I too appreciate the quiet and just watching. Thank you. I love the way in the beginning, you chose two patterns of orange. I wouldn’t have thought about that.
It is the first time that I watch an interesting video without feeling that I am in front of an open heart operation. I was afraid to start. Your work eliminated this fear. Thank you very much.
I’ve made something like this earlier this year for my friend. She was over the moon with it. They’re so easy to do and you can make them any size you like. I say they’re beautiful in their own right.
Thank you. Ditto to all the other good comments. I liked the preview of the beautiful quilt. I did not expect to enjoy the no narration so much. But your design and colorful fabrics spoke and it was calming. And I learned something. Would like to hear how you decide which fabric colors and prints to choose and how you decided on the design. I am subscribing. I think your channel will be a favorite.
Thank you so much! The design is just a favorite of mine. Adding strips all around a square and then making a piano key border to finish it off. As for choosing fabrics...I start with a few and then just make decisions as I go. I know that's not help! Actually.....I think it's helpful to choose a busy print with colors you like and then just use THAT as your color "chart" when making a scrappy quilt.
I struggled years ago because we grew up not wearing plaids and polkadots in the same outfit. I'm over that but still want to overthink. Your reply was helpful. Thanks for your time and Happy Thanksgiving.
What a wonderful way to use those scraps, a lovely picnic tablecloth! I am going to start one right away! Thank you for your simple but very practical projects.
Thank you for sharing your skills-inspires me to give it a go! I have lots of scraps!! You are very talented and very generous to show others how it can be achieved. Thanks again. 🌹
Thank you for this quilt pattern. This isn't as intimidating, as I thought. I will do this when I get all my material together. Thanks for this pattern. This is awesome.
@@judyjackson8753 Really no pattern Judy. She takes a square and then uses strips to surround it…watch her again closely and you’ll find no pattern is really necessary. ❤️

This is beautiful! I really enjoy watching your videos, very calm and not overly complicated. Do you remember approximately how big the center square was?
Enjoyed this video today. Somehow I missed it. It was fun to watch as you put the block/ quilt together. What a wonderful idea for using scraps. Thank you for your time.

I mean, I was told that all the Kona 100% cotton I bought at JoAnn’s to use is unacceptable for quilting... That seems ridiculous to me!
