As much as I love/loved Three Days Grace, it's amazing how one guy with one guitar has made this song more powerful than the studio version, or even the band's live versions. Don't get me wrong, this is my favorite song and I really love every way it's played, but...wow.
everyone has to realize that he left Three Days Grace because the rest of the band just wanted to make radio friendly music and to make money while Adam wanted to make music that actually meant something to him, it wasn't just health reasons, he is an amazing artist and i'll support him always
he did it differently because of the fact that he's not with them, and this WAS his first show since he left. So it was emotional, you can hear the emotion in his voice especially towards the end.
I love when he first sings 'even if I say it'll be alright, still I hear you say you eat to end your life' it sounds like he's speaking personally and it's so nice :)
It sucks that 3 days grace will never be the same again because adam is what made them unique and he was the artistic talent in the band hearing his solo music just justifies that even more the guy is an atom bomb full of talent a true artist it sucks that he couldnt of done this music with the band but best wishes to them both cant wait to hear more from adam.
Adam didnt leave because of a health issue. He said that in a live interview. He left because he felt that the band was focusing too much on money rather than doing what they loved to do. The health issue was just a key to open the lock. He'd been wanting to leave since late 2011.
This version is actually so much better. He really seems to put more feeling into it and into the music. I really hope he has the rights to put this out on his solo album. I want a clean sound of this version. So much more power in this. . . So much. I love the 3DG version. As I will always be a fan of the "Adam Years". But this. Words are lost. I am picking up my guitar again. I can not end my learning. I will keep going with it. "Never too late. . ."
He has stated that he would release his medical records if need be. Also it's different when you are playing solo than it is in band. It was not only his health that made him leave it was also the direction of the music, because it wasn't from the heart anymore.
He should not have had too if he said he was sick he was sick people calling him a liar just because he left the band as if he would do that without good reason that pisses me off calling themselves fans yet not being supportive when he was obviously having a hard time.
I follow TDG very close and I still went and saw them on this tour. You could not be more wrong on this. The members of TDG knew Adam was thinking about leaving like a month before he actually left. He told Barry Stock 2 weeks before he left that he was leaving, but wanted Three Days Grace to continue and kick ass without him. Yes he left and I really wanted to see him again, but he gave me 10 plus years of amazing music i will rock out to for the rest of my life. Why would i be mad?
6:20 - 7:00... that part of the song... i just can't explain it... man... how the hell.... forget it. Gives me the chance to stand up everyfuckin' time. love you Adam
I was there. It was a weird show. People didn't really respond well to any of Adam's new solo stuff. This and Wicked Game got the only positive reactions, really. Time will tell if he will succeed on his own.
I mean think about it, the guitarists are average, and the bassist is average, and so is the drummer the main reason why people listen to tdg is because of Adam, they are nothing without him.
It's kinda disrespectful towards TDG, because they are all talented people, and if their paths move in different directions, it doesn't mean they are nothing or everything, it just means that they want to go different roads and we as fans have nothing to do with it but respect their choices and decisions. If you don't like what TDG do after Adam left, just don't listen to them. Nobody is forcing you to listen to music that you don't like, right? There is no reason for talking shit about whoever in this case
im a massive three days grace fan, but this version has much more soul. im not sure why adam left but i think its because in the latter albums the band sold out its integrity ,they became to much of a cash cow
Adam has the rights to the music. Three days grace may have preformed it and published it together, and they all may have made money off of it but Adam still wrote the songs, and Adam still has the rights to them. He leaves, so do the songs. Besides, could you imagine someone else trying to sing these songs like he does?
i dont care about his medical records he sounds good enough in this video and to announce hes got a solo record coming out soon with the best music hes ever made so i guess hes not doing so bad then.. he just left the band with a note he couldnt even meet them in person to do it like a man cuz he wanted to go solo. friends since high school and you just leave a note and go start somewhere else? he left like he never knew'em.
yeah, don't blame the guitar. all guitar play the same notes. Adam put a capo on it and it's not in drop-D. he changed the song a little bit, so he can be different. that's called performance. don't question Adam.
Because the record label had lyricists write ToV? Because their HIS songs that HE wrote? Because as he's stated before this is his favorite and most personal song he's written? Tell me, why does Three Days Grace still get to play the songs he wrote? It goes both ways. The songs don't only belong to Three Days Grace, they also belong to Adam.
Hill Billy guitar? first off... an amazing man as such does not "Ruin" songs. Adam is like the Chuck Norris of music. he doesn't "ruin" things- he makes them better and you like it because if you don't Adam will find you- XD and- that ACOUSTIC guitar is definitely more than a hill billy has. it's probably more than you have :I so go home :I You're definitely drunk.
He left most likely cause his body couldn't take "partying like a rockstar". Drinking, drugs. and what not. He would never lie to us and he might come back. Still we should support him and be un-doubtful.
Big TDG fan, and I think Adam is very talented, but honestly, this performance seemed a little self indulgent. Just think it sounded/sounds better as the original version.
Yah if you read the making of the album on the inside of the cd, Adam had nothing to do with the newest album at all. Minus singing the vocals of course.
This right here is why Adam Gontier is my favorite singer to ever walk this Earth.
I am so glad that he is going down the path that he believes is right for his heart and life.. ill listen and continue to support him!
Best version of that song hands down!!!
As much as I love/loved Three Days Grace, it's amazing how one guy with one guitar has made this song more powerful than the studio version, or even the band's live versions. Don't get me wrong, this is my favorite song and I really love every way it's played, but...wow.
Never have seen Adam sing this song with so much emotion involved.
same here
He was crying...
this is his best version of never too late, it hits me everytime and I cry multiple times
it's too beautiful :')
His voice is just sooo beautiful i love him so much
you can fell Adam's passion and soul pour out in this version of Never too late
He is the best musician I have ever heard...
I freaking love this guy
Yeah I can't get enough lately he's such a sweetheart.
I hope he will keep singing these songs...
everyone has to realize that he left Three Days Grace because the rest of the band just wanted to make radio friendly music and to make money while Adam wanted to make music that actually meant something to him, it wasn't just health reasons, he is an amazing artist and i'll support him always
This is his song, and this is how the song is supposed to be.
Every time i listen to this, i get lost in it. It tugs at my emotions like nothing else i've experienced.
I don't think I can ever get through this song without crying! So relatable and perfect! Love you Adam!!!
he did it differently because of the fact that he's not with them, and this WAS his first show since he left. So it was emotional, you can hear the emotion in his voice especially towards the end.
Adam has a soul!!! And a good one! He did not sell out!
This version is really amazing.
I love when he first sings 'even if I say it'll be alright, still I hear you say you eat to end your life' it sounds like he's speaking personally and it's so nice :)
im really glad to see that Adam is doing good on his own :)
He's not on his own now anyway he remarried and has a new band.
such a powerful song!

This song always gives me chills, no matter, is it acoustic or not
Absolutely beautiful! Always have and always will be an Adam Gontier fan.
hes a true hero..... beautiful inspiration.
THE man who created TDG.. and without him... it's not the same thing.. :< I love him so much...
We will support you forever Adam and i hope to hear you play with the rest of you ex band mates again one day
This is so raw and amazing, I love it
I follow TDG very close and I still went and saw them on this tour. You could not be more wrong on this. The members of TDG knew Adam was thinking about leaving like a month before he actually left. 3:03 it sounds like he started to cry :( poor Adam...
i was there and was speechless. i love him
I really really really really really really really really love this song.
do you still love it 10 years later?
6:20 - 7:00... that part of the song... i just can't explain it... man... how the hell.... forget it.
Gives me the chance to stand up everyfuckin' time. love you Adam
So great! :)
Just one word "SPECTACULAR" !!!
love this song Never Too Late !
Oh my gosh Adam I love this, you're amazing :)
Lol, when he starts ooing, the camera can barely handle it. XD
if people cant take that hes singing with an acoustic guitar then they can go cry about it
It's like lullaby, too sweet
2006 nostalgia :(
this was amazing! i wish i could've been there to see this!!
How the hell can he ruin the song if first of all, he owns the song. Second of all, it was meant to be played like this, with the ACOUSTIC guitar.
Amazing... Adam keep on rocking :D
its called passion, its why he left three days grace
Stop arguing and enjoy the music and his beautiful face
I love this video and I love Adam keep up the great work ;) and If u don't like Adam gontier dont watch his videos to make fun of him
i think Adam only better live musician

6:01. goosebumps. 'nuff said.
If only I was as him…I'm sure I'll get there someday. :)
Adam Meu amor
Wish the crowd would have shut up and let the man be heard better. Adam rocks. TDG won't be the same without him.
I was there. It was a weird show. People didn't really respond well to any of Adam's new solo stuff. This and Wicked Game got the only positive reactions, really. Time will tell if he will succeed on his own.

He's my favourite too. A really beautiful soul.

still have goosebumps when watching this..
One-X is HIS album, he wrote the songs. They don't own them, he does.
I can't wait to see Adam play in Syracuse on August 4th!
The thumbs down must of been from one of the three days grace members...smh
Wooo I miss you Adam!!!!
im a massive three days grace fan, but this version has much more soul. im not sure why adam left but i think its because in the latter albums the band sold out its integrity ,they became to much of a cash cow
you can feel the Jeff Buckley inspiration near the end🥺❤
chills man...chiiiilllsssss
5:43 Without words.
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOooooOoooooOoooweeowoowooooo

Thats part of the reason but he stated that the new album did not come from the heart
yeah cuz its on facebook on both pages go look. pretty sure its not hard to see that he just left all the fans in dark to go solo..
It will be three years exactly tomorrow so be this was uploaded
this comment is exactly 7 months ago today and I didn't know it until just now
I wish that I could get through this song without crying.
I love his voice and i think that 3dg should stop singing these songs because one-x was his personal album
Hill Billy guitar?
first off... an amazing man as such does not "Ruin" songs.

it's probably more than you have :I
so go home :I
You're definitely drunk.
i hope Adam cover it in studio
capoed the 5th fret and sung higher to match it kinda badass
He left most likely cause his body couldn't take "partying like a rockstar". Drinking, drugs. and what not. He would never lie to us and he might come back. Still we should support him and be un-doubtful.
You think you no everything about why he left but obliviously haven't read his interview he did about why he left.
I'm guessing that being the "bad ass" on the internet makes you feel a lot better about yourself right?
Big TDG fan, and I think Adam is very talented, but honestly, this performance seemed a little self indulgent. Just think it sounded/sounds better as the original version.
Every song Adam wrote for 3DG, should be his also. He should have the rights to them too.
This dude rocks.......TDG or not I don't care, I like him!!!!
5:45
...... Incredible.
Never knew there were six of them...
i would have gone if i lived in the area no second questions just buy tickey and go unfortionenly i live in prince george bc
though im not sure that im ok with him leaving he played it beter than he has ever played it before
real fans will follow him while he's solo too?
the majority of his songs were all covers he played maybe 3 of his own songs tops.
Yah if you read the making of the album on the inside of the cd, Adam had nothing to do with the newest album at all. Minus singing the vocals of course.
I think I like the acoustic versions better than the original
Fits better
