You take a trip to the grand canyon, and you bump into adam gontier singing free fallin'. That would be the greatest day of my life.
I remember seeing Adam at the Rockstar Uproar last year. It was after their show, and I was walking with my bro, and a guy with a hoodie walked past me and said "Hey, how's it going man?" I said good. Then 5 seconds later, I realized "holy shit, that was Adam from 3DG!" Kinda cool that he was just walking around out there.
you have to wonder if adams "non life threating" health issue was just happinies and some room to breath. I cant help but notice every video since he left the band he has been absolutely high on life and its a beautiful thing,as fan im really happy to see it even if that means no more 3DG. :)

I've been a fan of Adam Gontier for 5 years, and to find out that you and him are friends is just...it has made me so happy. Hopefully when I'm older I'll have a guitar buddy that I can just call up one day and have a jam. XD

as a guitar player who loves his acoustic and has huge calluses as well... I actually agree. I couldn't make it through because of the chalkboard goosebumps.
I used to use some spray that you put on the strings to minimize the squeak. Didn't really work that well as I recall.
Do you really expect crystal perfect string sound at the height and air pressure of the Canyon? It's crazy that people expect studio sound perfection in an outdoor setting like that. It isn't going to be that way. Personally, I love hearing things in unusual settings, with the exception of noisy cluttered place that can drown out the performer. Paul Horn, flautist, has made a whole series of great jazz/new age music recordings in all sorts of unusual amazing settings, like the Taj Mahal, the Grand Canyon, etc, and it sounds really compelling and stirring, but never studio perfect. They can edit out some background noise, but the fellas here got it just right, I think. Feel like I'm on the rocks there, with them. But I can understand, in your case, with sensitive musical ears, that you wouldn't like that, nothing wrong with that either. I love it when Neil Young records a song by his fireplace with all the crackling noise (Got the Will To Love). But it isn't for everybody either.
