Life On Mars was such a fantastic show I wish it had more than 2 series and after rewatching it I have to say it's far better than Ashes To Ashes, The spin of felt too weird while I loved it at the time Life On Mars was just so much better

Yeah. A lot of things were changed from the pilot episode. I can't be sure but i believe almost all of the cast apart from jason o'mara were replaced following poor reception of the first episode. Colm Meaney played Gene Hunt in the first episode but the character was played by Harvey Kietel thereafter. Hope that helps.

Wiki has no mention of him being in it either, just says Gene Hunt is played by Harvey. What happened, did he only play Gene in the first episode or something??

We all have different opinions, L.O.M and A.2A are different and I enjoy them both so much, I just prefer one more than the other.
