I haven’t seen enough of his acting to agree or disagree, but I can definitely tell you that his American accent in the TV miniseries “Demons,” is absolute GARBAGE. It’s hilariously bad. 😂 😂
…but, I haven’t seen anything else of his, so I’ll just leave it at that.

I’ve just finished to Ashes to Ashes and I am in bits! Totally fell in love with Gene Hunt though. Bit of a crush going on now with him! 😂
I just finished ashes and it was wonderful, I never saw the ending coming and it hit me really hard, seeing them all react to their deaths, especially Shaz was just incredible too.
Amazing guy, great interview. I'm only disappointed he didn't ask him to say "You're surrounded by armed bastards"!!!
What an absolutely fantastic bloke. So sparky, charming and engaging. Not a bit of the usual actors conceited ego about him at all. I’d love to see him in the theatre and even better, meet Him in a pub for a chat. I wish Mr. Glenister untold future success. 💖💡✌🏻🍀
I met Philip back-stage once after the play, :This House' that he was in.
Everything you say about him is true. Just a really lovely, friendly down-to-earth guy and very obliging to his fans (I wasn't thr only one there). ❤
If they made a new series then I hope they call it “Space Oddity” it would fit great.
It's going to be called 'Lazarus' I believe as they are bringing characters back to life from both shows!

Just rewatching both series. Absolutely brilliant. I love the eighties songs they take me back and the clothes to that era. Both series are fantastic with great actors. The comedy element too. I hope they do a new series as mentioned lately. 😎

I just love him - whether he is Gene Hunt or Philip Glenister or in Cranford - brilliant actor and very, very modest with it . Cannot wait for Lazarus - lets hope the WOKE BBC wake up - of not , take it to Netflix or Sky .
Love Life On Mars, it's so addictive & like a adrenalin rush. Because of the plot context it may have not worked. But I would have loved to have seen one soft side of Gene. Maybe if his wife was in a scene even briefly. Ashes to Ashes was good but not as good as Life on Mars imo... And of course love Sam Tyler.
Got them all on Dvd, love Life On Mars and Ashes To Ashes. You have to watch them both if you want the full story. I think Ashes was equally as good.
The last few episodes of ashes to ashes just fucked me up 😂
After watching both, life on mars was the one i wanted to rewatch so id say life on mars is better, theres more strong episodes.

Not confusing at all. Did you watch it? They were all already dead. Gene’s job was to help them move on. The pub was heaven. The new one at the end was a newly dead copper.
