    Used mine today with buttercream, well impressed with the sharp edges on the top.
    Some of the buttercream pulled off with the liner but was easily repaired with some more buttercream and a smoother. Quite pleased with my first attempt.

    I am using your kit now, so far, so good. One question though, in the video you place the non-stick disc in the bottom of your cake pan, layer and fill the cake, but at the end of the layering, you put some ganache on what will be the bottom of the cake and you tell us to place the non-stick disc on the ganache and freeze overnight. Do you use 2 non-stick discs? I ordered two kits and I only received 1 disc per kit. Do I need two? If not, why do you use two in the video? Thanks for your help.

      It is just a parchment paper disk they used. You can get them on Amazon precut. And yes you will need two. One on the top and bottom

    Hi . Received mine today and i bought this because its way cheaper than Frost Form. My question is, can i do the liquidy pouring way like how FF do theirs. Instead of squeezing the ganache/bc after each layer which looks really troublesome 😅 And the top of the cake will be as it is. Thanks.

    I love this product but sometimes the liner pulls at the ganache and it rips from the cake and it’s ruined. Why does this sometimes happen? I always leave overnight sometimes more to set.

    What is the smoothing tool that you use to get rid of the seam and fill in ganache holes? Metal or flexible plastic? Thank you. I just purchased my kit and am very anxious to try it. My cake club has asked me to do a demo, so I hope it is as easy as in the videos I have watched. ;-)

      Hi
      Fresh whipping cream wouldn’t be stable enough and wouldn’t set hard, it has too much water in it.
      Buttercream
      Swiss meringue buttercream
      Italian meringue buttercream all
      Work with it

      @@brigidscakeroom8864 for the buttercream, can I use the liner for the chocolate biscuit cake rather than ganache one?

    • @brigidscakeroom8864
      @brigidscakeroom8864  2 года назад +1

      So you use it exactly as you would with ganache so with the foam and use the same size liner in the same size tin with a cake 1 inch smaller .
      So for example 6” cake in a 7” tin with a 7” liner.
      I hope this helps

    • @brigidscakeroom8864

      Hi Ann
      Yes you need to use a good dark or milk chocolate, anything over 35% coco will work perfect. Just make sure it’s not cooking chocolate or eating choc ie Cadbury’s. Belcolade or Calebeut work really well .x

      Oh man! Sorry to hear that happened to you. Cake horrors are never pleasant and last minute ones even worse!
      Is your ganache recipe tried and tested by you or one the kit suggests? I read further down in comments that single cream was recommended by the creator, but that would NEVER work for me. I mistakenly used double cream one day and it took 2 days to set properly in the fridge. I always use whipping cream.

    • @brigidscakeroom8864
      @brigidscakeroom8864  3 года назад

      We always use single as it has enough fat in it , it’s usually around 34% there is no difference between either just that single cream with help it set quicker and harder .x

      Hi yasmin
      It is stated on the website what way you have to use them, it specifically says that you buy a 6” liner in a 6” tin and use a 5” cake and the same goes for all sizes . This information is not hidden it’s clearly there .
