I cannot stop playing with this thing, and It does work wonders for cinematic music, I love it, using lots of my own samples, like wow.

The dice(randomization) of this is the real innovation...because I can create layered sounds and spread them across chords myself...it just takes WAY more time. And if you think about it....most of the time when you are searching for sounds to use, you are RANDOMLY auditioning within a certain kind of sound set yourself, until you find something you like that you can tweak to your own taste for the track. You know!? Think about it! Lol. This can just streamline the process. And one of the biggest features is that it automatically recognizes the pitch a sample is in, and AUTOMATICALLY re-pitches it to a note that will fit your chord set.
    Incredible workflow jumpstarter

I've only just bought Playbox yesterday evening (June 29th 2023 while NI's Summer Of Sound Sale) was still on, and while looking for an in-deph video on here about it I was glad to find this one. I haven't really found anybody else who breaks things down the way you have about this awesome instrument. Thanks man!!

Great indepth look at a fantastic creative app. I mainly use the ipad when playing live but to create new pads and sonically charged chords this looks amazing. Thank you

Been playing it for 6 months. I feel it needs it's own controller tbh, it's that good. Hope they build on it like add an FX bus for each sample... maybe just below volume and pan. This way you can cut out reverbs or delay on bass instruments. Otherwise, it's a game changer for me.

Wow, looks and sounds very interesting! I feel that a simple undo/redo button never was so crucial to be implemented (and sadly be missed), cause with one wrong click you could screw up a great sound you tweaked already a lot and never get it back. 😅

The full power of Kontakt 6 at display in this library. I'm not so sure if we can call it a sampler anymore. Feels more like it is a 'Virtual Instrument Platform': VIP.
Playbox is robably build for the lo-fi crowd, but expanded a bit to suit more people. For example, for cinematic. But BT can probably use this. As I've used his plugins for making my jingles, haha!

Playbox so far is the only instrument that Native Instruments files under 'synthesizer' that opens in Kontakt.
Anyhow, it's an awesome instrument and now included in (your upgrade to) Komplete 14 Standard, Ultimate or Collector's Edtion!
Still if you've got Komplete 14. I do recommend looking at upgrading to Izotope's Music Production Bundle 5, since the best thing about Ozone Advanced is that you can use the individual elements as seperate plugins. And hey, you get Neutron, Nektar, RX 10, Vocal Synth. Look for a sale and then upgrade. Thank me later. :)

I was excited about this but maybe it's not for me, it has potential but it seems to produce the same kind of sounds (EDM, LO-FI, Trap, etc)

Cycles is so deeeep and Playbox is more user friendly but they are both very different. I would go with cycles because of it’s features and its not so much overused already
