This is very possibly the most beautiful library I've ever heard. As a big fan of the District 9 OST - this for me is a dream library. I will HAVE to buy this. Thank you for the excellent review as always.
Thank you Don. Just bought the thing (and worked with it). The organic samples, and quality is super nice. Anthony did a beautiful job. Thanks for the shout out. Definitely gonna use this library in my more meditative pieces. Take care. - Phil
The uniqueness, the tonality, the textures... man, the team at NI know how to create some otherworldly VST's! I have the Light Trilogy pack and those have some of the greatest underscore-ready presets I've heard in the business. Truly remarkable!
This sounds amazing and I’ll definitely be getting it. And that’s coming from someone who builds and plays their own epic/cinematic-sounding bowed instruments, and already owns several Tarilonte libraries. This is just something else altogether!
I just bought it and I'm excited! I have to say I'm dubious about more and more "automation" when it comes to these things. I remember you saying that it "plays itself". It looks like there's lots of ability to do something original with it, but I cringe at the "paint by number" movement in music production that allows someone to posture creativity with a 'guitar hero' like toy instead of actually learning to play instruments. Nonetheless it's bloody gorgeous sounding, so I'm looking forward to getting going on it. Thank you for the demo!
Wow - At first I thought this was kinda pricey but after hearing it - Totally worth it. There is a such a great connection between the sounds that make up the presets. Very well thought out. Thanks for the First Look.
Greatly enjoyed this review -- including those moments when you were unsure how something worked & tried to figure it out. That's actually quite useful as it's just the sort of issue I (and others!) would probably face. This video totally sold it. Have just clicked your link and purchased LORES. Thank you!
Do you know if it is possible to choose your own instruments and layers and then save it under a preset name you give yourself, to be able to use it in the future?
Pretty sure it can like most Kontakt instrument when clicking on the little floppy disk to save a Snapshot, it will ask you to name it and then save it and go in the Snapshot menu as a user Snapshot. Worst case, in every Kontakt library, you can always make a new preset and then click the photo camera at the top to make a new snapshot. Even for those instrument that donnot use the Snapshot system unfortunately (I wish they all would!) It should then be present when you open the instrument again later, where the snapshots menu is on the top left, the mini white arrow below the instrument's name. He demonstrates well how to create you own preset at 31:00 Hope this helps even of it's an old comment from 1 year ago. 😊
I believe Modwheel controls the volume. Expression, if available, can be used to adjust the balance between the layers. Not 100% sure about this though. Great instrument though - I managed to get it cheaper using some discount codes from NI that I'd saved.
So, you say to yourself you'll wait until the next Komplete/Ultimate/CE upgrade sale and then NI puts out something like this. A well-done, enthusiastic video is also not helping my wallet. GAS.
I have say I agree with you.I I too bought this library and very soon relegated it to my D list as the majority of the presets seem to convey the same emotion , a drab emotion.

You are welcome L-ayex.
Grandiose et en ce moment à moitié prix ! ❤
Love the sound, love that interface .
Just bought the Komplete Kontrol keyboard and received a voucher for any NI instrument of my choice. I got this one.
how's your experience been so far with the product? Is it worth getting?

So glad the video was helpful for you Thomas, thanks for sharing
I got it first day. It has helped me score multiple projects at this point.

Thank you so much Mistral!
Studio One you can save it as a track preset.@@liesbetleroy
Excellent overview... so much potential in this VST !
So glad the video was helpful Marti!
Stunning instrument. Wasn't going to do the upgrade from K13 to K14 CE, but just had to have this in my library!
so many quality instruments from NI since Komplete 13 really looking forward to Komplete 14!
72.3gb?...huge.
@@truthbetold2012 that’s kinda medium sized for a quality kontakt library. you can easily get into 150gb+
Great review! Thank you
Great review. Love the enthusiasm. I think I’m sold on this one…..
Don’t think. Know. It’s an insane library man.
wow thats some really nice sounds!
Great review, thank you!!
Did you find out in the mean time while the alto flute didn’t work when you chose some presets?
Wow it sounds amazing
This is very cool sounding. Sounds like the show Ozark.
Love ozark! Good call!
FABULOUUUUUS !!!
Could NI plugins be used with other midi controllers (I got Arturia MKII)? Thanks
Yes they can

Thanks for the heads up! So glad you got to use your codes!
very advanced and natural
These are some interesting combinations of instruments. I'm interested in how it has kemenche which I don't have in my library.

Am I trippin or does the volume stutter / shunt a lot?? it seems cool but it seems glitchy.. Can anyone confirm this??
Got it :) the price now is 89£ from 179£
So amazing!!! Is this included in the Komplete 13 Ultimate?
No.
There's a good chance it will be in Komplete 14 Ultimate though.
@@PendelSteven Thank you! Just got U13^^ Maybe upgrade through SOS
Does "min" in a preset title signify minimal or minor? From what I'm hearing, I think it's minor.
Minor :)
Wowee
Reminds me alot of Arkhis, just more ancient.
72GB?!?! What the hell! I would have no place to put this even if I wanted it 😂
After watching this video I bought Lores. I regretted it bitterly because it always sounds the same, totally boring. I do not recommend it at all
Bin gerade am überlegen mir die Ultimate Version zuholen. Glaube nur wegen Lores,Arkhis und Omnia lohnt es nicht
