yeah he says he only does it out of combat but if you slide in combat it makes the enemies miss more (which is practically required on bosses), plus jumping out of a slide keeps the momentum in the air so it's like bunny hopping.

So basically, as burn damage is applied from a weapon that deals burn damage, it increases the damage per tick each time. Really fun to grab something fast shooting like a Hurricane Rifle or either type of minigun eith burn, and then just melt healthbars immediately from basically any range. Orbital or Ram shotguns also work amazingly with burn
Back when I played it back in its preview, it was insanely good. I fell in love with the rougelite genre because of this game and I kept on playing this since I installed it! Can't wait to see how time plays on with this amazing game!
Alrighty so: ive been playing this game for a LONG time. Ive been around with this game back when the hub world was just a bunch of crafting station looking thingies in a pit and when you started your run on a holographic map and i want to make a point to say: This game is NOT slow. Sure, you CAN play it slow and steady wich is often the less risky and straight forward route. but you can also start bunnyhopping directly into and arena of enemies, dodging bullets with sheer speed and taking out anything infront of you with a fricking sword! You can ROCKET JUMP DIRECTLY TOWARDS AN ENEMY AND HIT HIM SQUARE IN THE FACE WITH A SHOVEL (obvious reference lol), you can GAIN A SPEED BUFF WITH EVERY ENEMY YOU HIT UNTIL YOURE LIKE A SUPER SONIC JET SLICING AND DICING THROUGH ENEMIES, you can STACK UP ON ATTACK SPEED BUFFS AND EQUIP THE POWER GLOVES TO JOJO THE EVERLIVING CRAP OUT OF ANYTHING IN YOUR PATH. But you can also obviously play it slow and steady as in your video, its a choice really and i just wanted to show people the second playstyle this game has to offer. Edit: if you would like to share you opinion please do so in the replies to this comment
I think the big part of it is that sprint is on a button for some reason. I put it on auto at the very start of playing and found that usually flying around using melee is the best option. Btw, for some reason throwing granades while looking down also worked wery well
Wow! I didn’t even know about the buttons for the Laser Grid puzzle! I just used the Guardian class’s shield and sprinted straight through and it blocked all the damage. 😂😂😂 I totally thought I did it the way the game intended, but it sounds like I colored a little outside of the lines!
How do you go 25 minutes talking about Roboquest without mentioning the incredible soundtrack by Noisecream? Seriously, the OST is at least half of why I like this game so much and you not talking about it is a real shame
I made a javelin build where I had 5 javelins and if they were all thrown and I clock, they all explode doing massive damage around each individual javelin. I felt like Zeus. Not even Gunfire Reborn made me feel like that. This game is one of a kind.
movement in this game is insane. you will almost never touch the ground actually. triple jumps + grapple + jetpacks + rocket jumping + head jumps. and i don't mentioned hero's cape and auto-rocketjump alt attack on some weapons, which lets you to fall to ground, deal damage and recharge jumps, and instantly fly up high.
Unlocked everything in the game pass version a few months ago and just purchased it on Steam. Love the game and the music. Can't wait to play the new content.
"This game isn't as fast as doom" He says while then not doing *any* of the game's movement tech Fun fact about sliding: There's no cooldown or limitations. Literally just slide>jump>slide>jump>etc
I was expecting the multiplayer to come up eventually, it made the game so much more fun, especially with the quickplay system they have in place, solo runs just feel lonely to me. Having 3 weapons was a gadget, but I personally didn’t even notice it was gone because Hot Potato is my favorite perk in the whole game. Also, rocket jumping accelerates the gameplay to ULTRAKILL speed if you can use it properly, I’ve found the most success using the flare gun, such a good weapon to rocket jump with
Roguelikes and roguelites aren't usually my type of game but I have been hooked to this one over the past few weeks. I really feel like I am making a little progress every day. The different guns are awe inspiring and make me feel like I've been picking up Borderlands for the first time again.

Engineer is my favorite class to play so far. I try to go for the Chromatic Weapon perk whenever I can, you choose an element and all of your weapons now do that element. One time I picked Ice, then later found a tesla rifle that also did fire damage. I became the Avatar for the rest of that run, good times
For having the game 100% done already, even S ranking guardian 4, this game is genuinely a master class in rouge-lites. Hopefully the do add more since I was actually taken aback for not having a looping feature that most rouge-lites have that I’ve played. So much potential!
If u turn on auto sprint u can use the slode function alot better and it makes incorporating sliding amidst combat more fluid and convenient which in turn makes u harder to hit or able to get put of situations easier
I got to the pit orange area and I somehow managed to rocket jump with the thumper to the door. By using that little purple rectangle thing. That was the main floor the same floor as the dynamite.
The change with the three weapons is the new gadgets. The can't pack used to let u hold one more weapon but it got removed and there a new gadget system.
I played the demo and got a laser minigun that shocks, and an laser arkebus rifle that was normal but I had a perk that increased damage when far away, and a perk the cycled elemental damage for all weapons between fire and ice (while stacking on top of existing elemental effects) So, I was able to clear out most rooms without even having to engage.
Fun fact when Billy bombs was originally added into the game he didn't have the little indicator telling u that u needed to go around his back and flip the switch. So I and many others all died to him on repeat for like 2 weeks before they changed that lol
Y'know, it's kinda funny that you release this video, about a game that's basically Bumblebee as a roguelite FPS, and Cody of Alternate History Hub releases a video on Bumblebee the very same day. Truly serendipitous coincidence.
Been really enjoying this and deadlink, but this one takes the cake because it just has vastly more replayability and variety. The chips in deadline are an interesting idea, but almost never change the way you chose to play the game
Deadlink has a few upgrades that CAN change the way you play the game, but you may not even see one in a given run because the game is rather short, and the amount of upgrades the game gives you is very limited. One of the main things that's missing is the ability to complete a challenge for extra loot. For example, this game has the Corrupted Areas, and Gunfire Reborn has Vaults. Both are optional and potentially dangerous, but reward you with some sort of upgrade for completing it. Performing them consistently allows you to really stack the deck in your favor by the end of the game. Deadlink has a lot of chips that could be interesting if stacked together, but since your upgrade opportunities are so limited, trying to do so is very suboptimal. Combined with how brutal the game is difficulty wise, and there really isn't a choice if you want a fighting chance at clearing the run.
The game movement isn't really like you describe, it feels like every source engine 2 game that had ever exist at the same time, rocket jump, after you unlock all the movement gadgets is even more fast pasted, that could be te same as ultrakill.
Ultrakill's movement makes this game (or really any game) feel so much slower in comparison. I personally find the lack of aggressive healing to be my biggest complaint
The last Roguelike I played (at least like this one) was gunfire reborn, wich was fine, but wasnt my cup of tea, good ideas and characters but the gameplay didn't ended up clicking with me. Love the game, almost have everything, favorite part is turning off your brain and hitting everything with a beefed up shovel while bouncing around like a madman. Also, you can cheese the hell out of the final boss, at least first phase, I won't say how but its pretty much required for melee, I think a good idea is to have points around the arena that melee can hit while still being able to get hit by projectiles, because the cheese way makes it to easy.
