I've had plenty of experience of the washing line disasters you described (my poor technique, not the method) so I'll be trying a single buzzer more often. Thanks again for another great video, will definitely try that pattern too! Happy New Year all, tight lines for 2024.

I know, its not a rule that they should be fished as a WL, but I've fished them as a single and well this method works for me, I have even fished them to the point of casting them out and then let them drift about with the odd draw on the line and keeping a straight contact with the buzzer and then boom, the takes were megga. Happy New Year Regards MD

Wee tip to minimise droppers twisitng when fishing teams of buzzers; use a single small swivel to connect the leader and tippet sections….works a treat 😊

      Use a tippet ring

Another way to stop dropper twist is every few casts do a cast over the left shoulder. This tends to prevent tge dropper always twisting in one direction. Being able to cast over the left shoulder is an easy technique that is super useful for a variety of situations such as - a right to left wind; casting as a pair in a boat etc.

Might have to give that a try, I like the sound of simple 👍 i just got a starter fly tying vice and reckon I could have a go at tying a buzzer or two, it’s not something I fish much usually using more traditional wets but maybe it is worth a change.

Remember to degrease the leader and also line slick the floating line.

Does just putting nail varnish over the buzzer work just as well ? Or do you need to go with uv?

@@brianwalton3016 never used nail varnish, but if it's good stuff it should work just as good.

I’m gonna try this. I find team fishing or washing line fishing clumsy.
      So I don’t bother.
