Appreciated. If this 10/10 split isn't your thing, look up Regongar's vid I did recently. His is the "traditional" 16/4 split, the one that capitalizes on +Str but only loses one level of spell progression. It's what most people do.
@@brothermutant7370 Hm, I will do that, but to be honest, a build which embraces Dragon Disciple in its fullness was exactly what I had been looking for. Any key alterations you'd recommend for a Red or Gold draconic bloodline other than the obvious preference for fire themed spells over acid?
@@sechrima9998 Hmmm... welp, I guess I would look for gear that made me immune to fatigue/exhaustion and knockdown/trip effects so I could stand inside my own Sirocco safely. Seriously though, I would make sure to still have all of the five element types in my build somewhere just to cover my bases when I run into a fire-immune baddie or seven. AND, I would either make sure I had enough Dex and/or gear that buffs my ranged attack bonuses to ensure I hit with my Scorching Ray/Hellfire Ray spells consistently. There isn't much gear that would up your fire damage (beyond you already being a Red or Gold or Brass (?) Dragon type (remember Red/Gold have a cone breath, the other is a beam), but you can get another +1 per die dmg from a necklace, a robe (probably not for you as you need that armor), and a Slingstaff (again, probably not for you but who knows). Are you on PC? Are you using mods at all? If so, let me know which and I can better answer what ELSE I might do. Cheers! P.S. I TOO like the full Dragon Disciple (for the reasons I mentioned ;)
@@brothermutant7370 yep. Wanted to get it asap however the buzz was that the release game was "fallout 76" levels of buggy so held off until now. Trying your build now before my head explodes from all of the choices! (NWN's all over again... its a good pain). Got it on PC as always.
Sure would. Just look for ones that give bonuses to Charisma (and Strength too would be ideal, so I THINK that is the plain Aasimar or the angel-kin version). Good news is that would give you a free spell a day from whatever Heritage you pick, and I think that one is the Lesser Restoration spell once per rest you get, which is highly useful.
Yup. There is a MOD that can change that a bit though. Call of the Wild adds feats that allow you to use like a SHIELD in your off hand and still be able to cast spells with no penalty. I am wondering if it would allow a MAGUS to do the spellstrike thing, never tested it.
This build looks rad as hell! I appreciate the time you took to go into detail and explain your choices.
Can you write a doc? I am troubled to choose spells
Great build explained in a lot of detail. And I see you're making BG3 videos now. Subscribed.

Love the format of the way you explain your builds mate. Subbed. Keep it up. (old vid i know but just now getting into it)
Thanks man! I appreciate that. Did you just get the game? PC or console?

would one of the aasimar heritages work well with this build?

Just a SIDE note, you would LOSE one FEAT pick for not going Human, so decide which FEAT to lose in advance.
Nice build i wonder can i adept this to my 2h Magus/Dragon Disciple my stats are str 16 dex 14 con 14 int 12 wis 10 and cha 17
I don't see why not. You have plenty of Strength and Charisma, which is the goal.
Nice video, i'll try this build.
Tell mw how it works or what you change to make it better. Good Luck!
@@brothermutant7370 i'll take first 10 level eldrich scion, so i can maybe use some other feats and this cloack that adds tripping to my bite attaks.
@@brothermutant7370 the class ability to turn into dragon of the bloodline sounds great, now i'll go to full 10 dd
eldrich scion uses spell strike to cast the spell, you need to have 1 hand empty to do this otherwise you are just normally casting a spell
