Hey Robert. Nice vid. Been bloody tough this season. We need rain basically. Ive only fished about 60hrs in my Skwala carbons and they're definitely more comfortable than the G4Z, but so much lighter that it doesnt surprise youve sprung leaks. Our blackberry/ tea tree/pittospora laden bank veg is really tough on waders. My Orvis Pro's lasted only a few hours - and they were meant to be bullet proof so...
@@mathewcampbell8479 Makes me feel so much better knowing that there is somebody else in Australia that has Skwala Carbons - and is questioning the durability - I am going to see if I can send them back to the US to get them repaired as they are still under warranty - I bought them from The Slide Inn (Kelly Gallop’s shop)… the Simms do seem to be the most robust of the waders that I have - am now trying a pair of Patagonia Swiftcurrrent Expedition Waders (with a Zip) - will keep you posted on how they hold up…
@robertlouis24 My mate had a new pair of the Patagonias. They looked quite good. Toms Outdoors use them for their guiding clients, and swear by them so... I see The FlyFisher now sell the Skwalas in Aus, so maybe speak to them re. warranty. I really think our veg is a lot tougher than average.
Geez Robert. Just when I began to contemplate a venture into the Goob., I learn you've been up there, plundering all my fish. What am I to think? A lovely piece, young man and interesting to boot.
Beautiful looking stream. You should have a go for the carp with some nymphs Robert!.
Well done mate. Fishing well!
