I noticed the interior recording was in black & white at night. Is that the IR sensors kicking in, or am I missing something? I could change it from black & white to color on my N4, but I don't know if there is a way to switch on the N5.
It can be powered 24hr as long as the power supply is constant. Mine is switched on and off with ignition. If you do go direct to battery you need to make sure you have the appropriate in line fuse

Yes if you have it connected to a USB connection with a constant power supply

I did it!
I would have tucked the rest of the wire for the front camera away instead of having that bunch zip tied to the mirror wire but to each their own.
