Remembering my bachelor days, when I prepare thakkali thokku I fought many times to wipe out all the left over on the kadai with rice the same way like u did and sometimes hide & eat..........I am not a fan of brinjal....but once my friend prepared vaangi bath and it tasted awesome...u reminded me about this dish and gave a wonderful recipe to try out😋😋😋

We always got that from our grandma...whenever there is a pickle preparation program at home, after the pickle gets shifted to a jar, she used to add rice to the mixing bowl, to absorb all the good flavors and the remaining pickle stuck to the bowl. We all used to sit around and she used to keep one ball of pickle rice in each of our hands..

My grandma, used to give her grandchildren rice mixed with leftover pudina (mint) or garlic chutney on the grinding stone. The taste still lingers on. We all used to fight for greater portion of the tasty chutney rice. Thanks for the recipe.
