One of the things I like about instacart versus shipt is the substitution process. With shipt, most customers utilize the default of ‘contact me’ meaning they want you to text them for every replacement needed. With instacart there are suggested replacements and suggestions that the customer wants which helps us shoppers with efficiency.
I do shipt a few times as well but when the customer indicate to be contacted for every replacement I don't do that *what I do is just click do not substitute* I don't have time for that lol you're better than me I think clicking do not substitute is better than replacing it and not contacting them because contacting them for every replacement while I'm shopping for another one is wasting a lot of time
Something I'm realizing is good is Instacart customers tip more then Shipt from what I'm learning. I do Instacart no shipt in my area. 1/2 my wages come from tips. Shipt shoppers seem to rely on promos because a tip isn't guaranteed. Instacart Shoppers see their tip right away
Regarding multiple batches, I’ve noticed IC sometimes offers to pay you for one batch. The worst case I’ve seen is when IC offers $7 for a double batch, one of the customers was willing to pay $2 tip, the other costumer wasn’t willing to tip at all.
Shipt Advantages: You can pick up multiple batches at the same store with separate payouts and tips. They also do delivery only order for CVS, which you can also pick up multiple orders. Promo pay on Shipt can also be very high! I do Instacart also in LA, but Shipt has become my go to. Plus now with the bot situation it’s a no brainer for me.
Honestly, I really appreciate the great job you did for me #Leachtechz. I can't believe I received decent batches easily. The bot grabber batches really works perfectly for me.
I appreciate this video. When you talked about the video interview, I went huh? I have no doubt that you must know by now that there are no more video interviews. They just ask several of the same questions that you mentioned and I don't believe there is even a time limit for you too answer. But don't take my word on that. I got it all out of the way in a few minutes & they might possibly do a reset if the applicant takes too much time to answer. The new shoppers can make up anything they want, but in the end it will be each new shoppers responsibility to prove their value to get those consistent offers, and if they aren't doing that, the will either get pulled off the platform, or they will just drop off because they can't make any money. Workers with grocery delivery apps such as Instacart say that customers relying on them for groceries during the coronavirus lockdown are robbing them of a livable wage - by luring them with a big tip, only to decrease or remove the tip altogether after delivery.
Have not noticed tip bating here. I will say that Instacart provides people with a source of income in a time when they may have been displaced from their jobs, trying to spin this into something negative is very disappointing
I did Shipt last fall, and I very very rarely got any tips. Pay was pretty low too, averaging between $7-$12 per shop. Add in no tip and I've made more from Instacart.
It's a pain finding all the items. I've done two shops and both times, there was something on the list I couldn't get for the customer. The tips were really good but I did bust my tush trying to get all the items. I didn't have to do a video interview, just said my name and area.
I live in a rural area with minimal instacart so it has it perks and negativities. Shipt isn't in my area so I have to drive 30miles to be an area that has shipt. Instacart has minimal orders some days there arent any. But my average instacart is $23 most orders go less than 2 miles and less than 20 items on average.
When I did Shipt a couple of years ago a few things turned me off (they may have changed since then). The delivery area for my particular store (there was only one store in my area used by Shipt at that time) was HUGE, no reimbursement for mileage, you wouldn't see any information other than the size of the order before accepting a shop and dropping a shop penalized your rating (this goes along with the HUGE delivery area which included a very unsafe part of town a single female should not be traveling to), customer ratings were not something the customers understood and they would rate you poorly if the store was out of items. Tips were AWFUL - huge orders that took 2 hours would tip out $5. Customers had no idea how the shoppers pay structure worked and Shipt didn't want shoppers to share that information. I felt like I was driving the customers crazy having to text every time an item was out of stock. The only way I made any money was to batch shops together myself. I think if I was going to shop again I would go with Instacart.
Oop I shared with few customers the set backs we experience and how tips are important. I got tired of putting in good thorough work only to not get tip or small tips. If only customers knew what some orders take to fulfill. A couple customers thought i just picked up their already shopped order.
There is how I know a huge difference between them...before getting accepted as shopper...for shipt no needed but for instacart NEEDED a commercial car insurance
Shipt actually has two pay levels. The one you’re referring to is V1 and pays very well, the new V2 pay structure is unclear and appears to pay significantly less. They’ve begun launching V2 in more markets and it’s upsetting the long time shoppers, for good reason. All of CA (where I am) is on V2, and my pay dropped by over 50% after moving back to the state. Unfortunate.
Shipt pay has decreased. Noticed it in later July 2020. And they don't pay for miles or add heavy pay but instacart base pay can be quite small at times even if they include heavy pay and mileage. Sometimes instacart batches homes that are 11 miles apart, at least on maui.
Knowing that I can make 60-80 dollars on one batch that is 25 items really just motivates me !!!! Instacart is way better !!!! Easy way to make almost 1800 a week if you do it everyday. Not to mention there weekly adjustments help out too !
At first I encountered the Bots but after contacting instacart about the Bots and giving them the links and the name of the bots I haven't had that issue since I've been able to pick up batches
It’s not an equal comparison when you do a bunch of Instacart orders and compare their average to 1 Shipt order, which was your first Shipt order. Not to mention you already have an affinity for instacart because you said you’ve been doing it for a while, which makes you more comfortable with their app and processes. This video was really a plug for instacart, I mean you’re even wearing the instacart lanyard. As soon as you said you’ve been doing instacart for a while and haven’t tried Shipt until this video, I knew the winner in the end would be instacart. It’s just how our brains work; we like what we’re familiar with. To make a true comparison video you would have to do an equal number of orders on each app, in an equally represented area, with equal income levels of the customers, etc. There are so many factors that need to be “controlled” or neutralized before an accurate comparison conclusion can be made. I have found that with Shipt, your shops can vary so much - I’ve had orders that paid me $40-50 and orders where I got a $30 tip and other orders where I only made like $6 total. The location, time of day & year, societal circumstance (people have been tipping better during quarantine), income level (bigger tips from bigger houses), all affect the outcome. Also, how does the store affect the pay and the tips - do shoppers make more shopping from one store versus another? Anyways just trying to point out ways the comparison could have been more equal. I like Shipt better myself, but I’ve done Shipt for a year compared to instacart for like a month. I would need more experience with Instacart to really compare them.

I’ve been doing IC for a few months now and I like it. I heard that shipt paid better. But today I did my first shipt order and I have to say I was disappointed. On IC I don’t accept orders that don’t already include the tip. That being because the chances of getting a tip afterwards even with perfect service, is slim. So I accepted an order on shipt that was $9-$12. Only 18 items and about 2 miles from my house. It ended up paying me $10.15 and no tip. Despite me communicating with the customer about a suitable replacement. Had I known there was no tip. I wouldn’t have taken the order. So weird that people tip better on DoorDash than IC or shipt and there is way more work involved in both.
I filled out the Shipt application on my computer and I didn't have a webcam on there so I took a break from the application. I got on my laptop the next day since it has a webcam and I saw that Shipt had already emailed me to go ahead with the application process. Shipt had removed the video interview and all I had to do was complete the application. I got approved to start a few days later. So I guess if Shipt is in high-demand in your city and in need of more shoppers then you don't even have to do the video interview or they might have reviewed my responses to their written-answer questions and said ok she's good to go, no need for a video interview, let's keep it movin. I don't kno if they do this for everyone the day after applying or just in high-demand areas but if anyone is on the fence about whether Shipt's application process is too lengthy for an independent contractor on-demand job, don't let the video interview stop you bc you might not even have to do it

Do you know anyone here in New York who has experienced this? I also just signed up for shipped last night and completed the interview process and received a message saying that I would be contacted when a position opens. Should I loose hope or nah? Lol
6:20 lol $10-$15 batches is the norm with IC nowadays and that’s including tip. Yikes. Why do we keep doing this? It’s just ruining our cars… and barely make minimum wage. Not even min wage. Jeez.
Currently having a problem with my shipt orders. I don't know if it is just me. But I am unable to process an order right now, it is giving me an error 500 message. Tried everything on my end to resolve it, but nothing is working. I have been waiting for well over 3+ hours for customer services, but I have heard nothing yet, this is yesterday. My customer keeps messaging me wanting their order, but I tell them that I am unable to deliver it until I can process it. I tell them to either contact Shipt or Cancel their order. They either refuse or can't just like I am. I am powerless in this situation, and I can't do anything, but they keep hounding me to get their order done. Anyone have any tips for this?
Had the same issue with Instacart during a busy time. I restarted my phone and it seemed to resolve the issue. I was even on Mobile data on a reliable connection. If you are having issues, running multiple gig apps, etc. Restart your phone or plug it in. These apps running simultaneously run down a lot of power.
I’ve read through Shipt’s troubleshooting advice & they recommend either getting off WiFi (if you’re connected at the time), closing out all apps that are currently open, uninstalling the app and then reinstalling & lastly restarting your phone.

At 6:28 you says that Shipt orders were higher twenties, but you assumed it was because of tips - but hold on - Shipt tips are not given until AFTER you deliver so you are not comparing results properly when comparing Instacart to Shipt.
it looks like Instacart is better for shoppers, I just signed up with Shipt but I haven't done an order with them yet. But I just started Instacart during this pandemic , im wondering if the demand and pay is different after the pandemic.

John Falcon mine did that too it was because I had 2 speeding tickets on my record and their limit is 2 moving violations. They allowed me to go on since one was about to go off and the other would come off on a year. Both are now off my record
My fiancé just got deactivated from InstaCart because the customer claimed they never received their order. A complete lie. I don’t like how quick they deactivate you without even considering his rating (5 star) and the over 50 plus positive comments not one bad from past customers. I liked the cash out feature of InstaCart. What does Shipt have to compete with that?
I have a friend who also was deactivated for some similar reason that wasn't her fault, so she contacted them explaining everything and they reactivated her account. Just try this option I'd say. Good luck guys 🙏
I guess I joined IC too late in the game - I didn’t realize they paid so much for batch pay before! I’ve never seen a batch pay out of more than $14 - then the tip. Never ever. Now batch pay is about $7 lolol omg that’s so sad. I kinda want to quit IC just on principle - how can they change batch pay soooo much in a year???
Hey can anyone clear my confusion so I'm from Connecticut and they banned plastic bags and paper bags so do I have to buy reusable bags every order for the customer or do I buy my own reusable bags and wait for the customer to unload?
Plastic bags are not completely banned. They just charge a fee so you'll have to see if your customer wants to pay 10 cents per bag or if they want to use your reusable bags
Instacart will automatically bill the customer's for the bags so you don't have to worry about that I would also suggest getting at least 2 insulated bags for meat or ice cream transportation in which you would place the bags into them and once you arrive at the location for delivery just give the customer the paper or plastic bags.
Well here is my recent experience with Instacart. (10/17/20) I had not done a batch in some times maybe a few months. I was on a double batch and was in store and already started shopping. One customer texts me to remove her from the batch. I tell her I do not think I can do that and that she should try contacting support and that I would also from my end. As I am talking to chat support they ask for my email and of course give it to them. Shortly after my app or phone blinks and shows an error of some kind and I just click the OK button since I am dealing with chat. I try to go back into the app and I am shocked to see that somehow I am now no longer signed into the app and I am having to SIGN UP. I follow the steps and now the ONLY thing my app does it shows me being on the waiting list. I have contacted support several times as it seems that the agent must have reset my account or removed me from instacart all together. I am told by each that of course they are sorry and they the "accelerated" my issue with the department that can only reactivate my account. I am also in the Seattle market and good thing this is something I do cause I like doing it. This is not my main source of income and I have other gig apps I can do including Shipt for which I have yet to shop for them.
I do both I’m in Los Angeles area, Instacart you need big orders to make decent money, and I’m seeing a lot people complaining about tippers baiter after delivery, never happened to me but I’m always afraid to, SHIPT starts low but you can grow up with them, specially at this pandemic era SHIPT is paying so much better in a promo for a few items and the customers are tipping generously, SHIPT is more organized we need to be on time for each order, less items and best tips, I’m doing so much better with them 🙏
Jason LovesABR no I had do reapply, first time was Sep 2019, them I got approved on Dec 31st 2019 after my second attempt, I think all depends on who watches your responses, I changed a little bit just adding I was doing Instacart very well and I’m 5 star with them, not sure if that changed their analysis or someone different approved me, we’ll never know! Why is Shipt so lowkey? I bumped into one shopper while on a GH delivery the other night and oddly enough, she got approved the second time for her video interview so ig I'll try to give it another shot. Idk, anyways, I'm going in to the GoPuff warehouse tomorrow to meet up with the GM to get things going. I'm really excited. In the meantime, all I've really been doing for the past few hours is audits at Publix and Walmart for EasyShift because GH is so dead. Idk if you've looked into the app but they have a lot more available than Field Agent and especially Observa.
Honestly I like instacarts tiping better.. because it builds the incentive that the tip isnt a "tip" but part of the instacart service. that way when you deliver the order they are more likely to give you a cash tip.. just my opinion.. unlike shipt where you are lucky if you get 1 tip...
I think it all depends on the area. You don't say what area you live in this video. My wife is making way more in Shipt than IC in the North San Diego area.
Can you do two different batches at the same time on instacart if it’s the same store? Or do you have to deliver one batch before excepting that batch from the same store?
to answer your question. no you cant you have to deliver your first batch first before you can accept another batch... and like Gig Nation say unless its a combine batch.

I made almost $2700 in my first two weeks doing Instacart on Long Island only shopping Costco. Unless Shpt can compete with that, I'm sticking with Instacart. The biggest challenge is the competition and batches disappearing with lightning speed. Very frustrating to miss out on a 70 or 80 dollar payout. I have gotten three $100+ dollar batches.Those are sweet provided Costco has the full compliment of beef. Otherwise your order and profits can shrink quickly.

I applied for Shipt a couple days ago. They did not ask me for a video interview. Background came back really quickly. Maybe because I have had it done for about 6 other apps already. Now I am just waiting for my card in the mail!
you’re wrong about shipt!!! the tip is not included! if it tells you your making $11-$15 for the order, it is not including the tip, since the tip is not included. I typically get tipped $20-$50 per order. Also, with shipt it’s really a hierarchy the longer you’ve been doing it, the more orders you get offered, and you get the higher tipping customers.
Gig Nation hmm they must not be good tippers then hahah, but it’s not including tip. For example, an order i had today was a $26-32 with their formula i got paid $29 from order pay. They then tipped me $30 They’re estimate pay is just the amount of money that shipt is giving you.
Annabelle McCullough Yess! I can understand why people would like Instacart better. I think that app may be easier to manage. Plus, you have to be doing shipt pretty consistently to Get the good tippers. The hierarchy is pretty annoying sometimes and that’s not even counting the member matches lmao.

Yea idk. Maybe it is required... Target owns shipt and that’s where most of the batches are, so would actually be pretty easy for them to report shoppers not following protocol now that I think about it..
Shipt says you don't have to wear the shirt but they say it presents a more professional image that could increase your tips. Who knows if this is true or not but presentation is actually more important than ppl are consciously aware of. 70% of communication is non-verbal and 55% of first impressions are based on what you see (appearance and body language).
@@GigTube Many customers may be choosing no-contact delivery during the coronavirus pandemic but they likely won't continue doing that in a few months when it's over. The majority of customers want to have contact bc they want to get their groceries inside immediately and put cold items in the refrigerator. I'm not saying the shirt is a dealbreaker but if you're going to the effort of shopping the order then you might as well give yourself the best possible chance of earning the most amount of money for the job by looking professional and showing that you take the job seriously even if it's the most chill job ever. Plus, the customers aren't necessarily familiar with the rules so if you're not wearing the shirt they could rate you lower bc they think you're slacking and Shipt requires a 4.8 stars or higher rating or you're at-risk of being deactivated
This one customer taped their id to the door and didn't show their face. I fell for it! Scanned the wrong iD then she denied I ever delivered the order. I was tricked. a few hours ago and got me back thanks *BRAVENOTCH* but I'm just so mad! How can people be this evil??

I literally just got deactivated yesterday!!! I had NO IDEA what was even happening...I never even got warned that my rating had fallen below a 4.9 which is what it had been for the entire year and a half I have been shopping!!! was sooooo pissed. I didn't even know they could do that.…I appealed and basically said I have no idea why they would deactivate me and they came back and just said yep you violated the shopper agreement you are gone! So rude!!. I want to thank #BRAVENOTCH tho who reactivated me he had my back when support didn't

For shipt subs I gather what I think wud be good then send a photo for all. Some people forget what they ordered!
I still text IC customer on why I made replacement. I've also had customers not want their 2nd choices.. so even that isn't a given

For shipt, the customer tip isn’t included in the estimated range. That’s the estimate of what shipt is willing to give you for that order.

Workers with grocery delivery apps such as Instacart say that customers relying on them for groceries during the coronavirus lockdown are robbing them of a livable wage - by luring them with a big tip, only to decrease or remove the tip altogether after delivery.
Have not noticed tip bating here. I will say that Instacart provides people with a source of income in a time when they may have been displaced from their jobs, trying to spin this into something negative is very disappointing

I did Shipt last fall, and I very very rarely got any tips. Pay was pretty low too, averaging between $7-$12 per shop. Add in no tip and I've made more from Instacart.
Me as well. Shipt is terrible. I had a 350 dollar order no tip, I only made 7.65.

It's a pain finding all the items. I've done two shops and both times, there was something on the list I couldn't get for the customer. The tips were really good but I did bust my tush trying to get all the items. I didn't have to do a video interview, just said my name and area.

I live in a rural area with minimal instacart so it has it perks and negativities. Shipt isn't in my area so I have to drive 30miles to be an area that has shipt. Instacart has minimal orders some days there arent any. But my average instacart is $23 most orders go less than 2 miles and less than 20 items on average.
When I did Shipt a couple of years ago a few things turned me off (they may have changed since then). The delivery area for my particular store (there was only one store in my area used by Shipt at that time) was HUGE, no reimbursement for mileage, you wouldn't see any information other than the size of the order before accepting a shop and dropping a shop penalized your rating (this goes along with the HUGE delivery area which included a very unsafe part of town a single female should not be traveling to), customer ratings were not something the customers understood and they would rate you poorly if the store was out of items. Tips were AWFUL - huge orders that took 2 hours would tip out $5. Customers had no idea how the shoppers pay structure worked and Shipt didn't want shoppers to share that information. I felt like I was driving the customers crazy having to text every time an item was out of stock.
The only way I made any money was to batch shops together myself.
I think if I was going to shop again I would go with Instacart.
Oop I shared with few customers the set backs we experience and how tips are important. I got tired of putting in good thorough work only to not get tip or small tips. If only customers knew what some orders take to fulfill. A couple customers thought i just picked up their already shopped order.
There is how I know a huge difference between them...before getting accepted as shopper...for shipt no needed but for instacart NEEDED a commercial car insurance
Shipt actually has two pay levels. The one you’re referring to is V1 and pays very well, the new V2 pay structure is unclear and appears to pay significantly less. They’ve begun launching V2 in more markets and it’s upsetting the long time shoppers, for good reason. All of CA (where I am) is on V2, and my pay dropped by over 50% after moving back to the state. Unfortunate.

Shipt pay has decreased. Noticed it in later July 2020. And they don't pay for miles or add heavy pay but instacart base pay can be quite small at times even if they include heavy pay and mileage. Sometimes instacart batches homes that are 11 miles apart, at least on maui.
Knowing that I can make 60-80 dollars on one batch that is 25 items really just motivates me !!!! Instacart is way better !!!! Easy way to make almost 1800 a week if you do it everyday. Not to mention there weekly adjustments help out too !
This was before the invasion of IC bots and massive shopper oversaturation on both apps, what a difference just 1 month and a half makes
At first I encountered the Bots but after contacting instacart about the Bots and giving them the links and the name of the bots I haven't had that issue since I've been able to pick up batches
Batches have been going staring in my area, my brother and I average $125 for 6 hours with only one car doing Instacart. We make it work.
It’s not an equal comparison when you do a bunch of Instacart orders and compare their average to 1 Shipt order, which was your first Shipt order. Not to mention you already have an affinity for instacart because you said you’ve been doing it for a while, which makes you more comfortable with their app and processes.
This video was really a plug for instacart, I mean you’re even wearing the instacart lanyard. As soon as you said you’ve been doing instacart for a while and haven’t tried Shipt until this video, I knew the winner in the end would be instacart. It’s just how our brains work; we like what we’re familiar with. To make a true comparison video you would have to do an equal number of orders on each app, in an equally represented area, with equal income levels of the customers, etc. There are so many factors that need to be “controlled” or neutralized before an accurate comparison conclusion can be made.
I have found that with Shipt, your shops can vary so much - I’ve had orders that paid me $40-50 and orders where I got a $30 tip and other orders where I only made like $6 total. The location, time of day & year, societal circumstance (people have been tipping better during quarantine), income level (bigger tips from bigger houses), all affect the outcome. Also, how does the store affect the pay and the tips - do shoppers make more shopping from one store versus another?
Anyways just trying to point out ways the comparison could have been more equal. I like Shipt better myself, but I’ve done Shipt for a year compared to instacart for like a month. I would need more experience with Instacart to really compare them.

I’ve been doing IC for a few months now and I like it. I heard that shipt paid better. But today I did my first shipt order and I have to say I was disappointed. On IC I don’t accept orders that don’t already include the tip. That being because the chances of getting a tip afterwards even with perfect service, is slim. So I accepted an order on shipt that was $9-$12. Only 18 items and about 2 miles from my house. It ended up paying me $10.15 and no tip. Despite me communicating with the customer about a suitable replacement. Had I known there was no tip. I wouldn’t have taken the order. So weird that people tip better on DoorDash than IC or shipt and there is way more work involved in both.
I filled out the Shipt application on my computer and I didn't have a webcam on there so I took a break from the application. I got on my laptop the next day since it has a webcam and I saw that Shipt had already emailed me to go ahead with the application process. Shipt had removed the video interview and all I had to do was complete the application. I got approved to start a few days later. So I guess if Shipt is in high-demand in your city and in need of more shoppers then you don't even have to do the video interview or they might have reviewed my responses to their written-answer questions and said ok she's good to go, no need for a video interview, let's keep it movin. I don't kno if they do this for everyone the day after applying or just in high-demand areas but if anyone is on the fence about whether Shipt's application process is too lengthy for an independent contractor on-demand job, don't let the video interview stop you bc you might not even have to do it

Currently having a problem with my shipt orders. I don't know if it is just me. But I am unable to process an order right now, it is giving me an error 500 message. Tried everything on my end to resolve it, but nothing is working.
I have been waiting for well over 3+ hours for customer services, but I have heard nothing yet, this is yesterday. My customer keeps messaging me wanting their order, but I tell them that I am unable to deliver it until I can process it. I tell them to either contact Shipt or Cancel their order. They either refuse or can't just like I am. I am powerless in this situation, and I can't do anything, but they keep hounding me to get their order done. Anyone have any tips for this?
Had the same issue with Instacart during a busy time. I restarted my phone and it seemed to resolve the issue. I was even on Mobile data on a reliable connection. If you are having issues, running multiple gig apps, etc. Restart your phone or plug it in. These apps running simultaneously run down a lot of power.
I’ve read through Shipt’s troubleshooting advice & they recommend either getting off WiFi (if you’re connected at the time), closing out all apps that are currently open, uninstalling the app and then reinstalling & lastly restarting your phone.

At 6:28 you says that Shipt orders were higher twenties, but you assumed it was because of tips - but hold on - Shipt tips are not given until AFTER you deliver so you are not comparing results properly when comparing Instacart to Shipt.

My fiancé just got deactivated from InstaCart because the customer claimed they never received their order. A complete lie. I don’t like how quick they deactivate you without even considering his rating (5 star) and the over 50 plus positive comments not one bad from past customers. I liked the cash out feature of InstaCart. What does Shipt have to compete with that?

I guess I joined IC too late in the game - I didn’t realize they paid so much for batch pay before! I’ve never seen a batch pay out of more than $14 - then the tip. Never ever. Now batch pay is about $7 lolol omg that’s so sad. I kinda want to quit IC just on principle - how can they change batch pay soooo much in a year???

Hey can anyone clear my confusion so I'm from Connecticut and they banned plastic bags and paper bags so do I have to buy reusable bags every order for the customer or do I buy my own reusable bags and wait for the customer to unload?
Plastic bags are not completely banned. They just charge a fee so you'll have to see if your customer wants to pay 10 cents per bag or if they want to use your reusable bags
Instacart will automatically bill the customer's for the bags so you don't have to worry about that I would also suggest getting at least 2 insulated bags for meat or ice cream transportation in which you would place the bags into them and once you arrive at the location for delivery just give the customer the paper or plastic bags.
Well here is my recent experience with Instacart. (10/17/20) I had not done a batch in some times maybe a few months. I was on a double batch and was in store and already started shopping. One customer texts me to remove her from the batch. I tell her I do not think I can do that and that she should try contacting support and that I would also from my end. As I am talking to chat support they ask for my email and of course give it to them. Shortly after my app or phone blinks and shows an error of some kind and I just click the OK button since I am dealing with chat. I try to go back into the app and I am shocked to see that somehow I am now no longer signed into the app and I am having to SIGN UP. I follow the steps and now the ONLY thing my app does it shows me being on the waiting list. I have contacted support several times as it seems that the agent must have reset my account or removed me from instacart all together. I am told by each that of course they are sorry and they the "accelerated" my issue with the department that can only reactivate my account. I am also in the Seattle market and good thing this is something I do cause I like doing it. This is not my main source of income and I have other gig apps I can do including Shipt for which I have yet to shop for them.

I do both I’m in Los Angeles area, Instacart you need big orders to make decent money, and I’m seeing a lot people complaining about tippers baiter after delivery, never happened to me but I’m always afraid to, SHIPT starts low but you can grow up with them, specially at this pandemic era SHIPT is paying so much better in a promo for a few items and the customers are tipping generously, SHIPT is more organized we need to be on time for each order, less items and best tips, I’m doing so much better with them 🙏

Why is Shipt so lowkey? I bumped into one shopper while on a GH delivery the other night and oddly enough, she got approved the second time for her video interview so ig I'll try to give it another shot. In the meantime, all I've really been doing for the past few hours is audits at Publix and Walmart for EasyShift because GH is so dead. Honestly I like instacarts tiping better.. because it builds the incentive that the tip isnt a "tip" but part of the instacart service. that way when you deliver the order they are more likely to give you a cash tip.. just my opinion.. unlike shipt where you are lucky if you get 1 tip...

You’ll get combined batches, up to 3 at once - but you’ll accept it as a single batch in the app
to answer your question. no you cant you have to deliver your first batch first before you can accept another batch... and like Gig Nation say unless its a combine batch.

DoorDash is a lot faster money for less effort than instacart. I work in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex market and each market varies.
I'm more loyal to Shipt because I honestly find it more user friendly but Instacart does seem to pay a tad more better.

I made almost $2700 in my first two weeks doing Instacart on Long Island only shopping Costco. Unless Shpt can compete with that, I'm sticking with Instacart.
The biggest challenge is the competition and batches disappearing with lightning speed. Very frustrating to miss out on a 70 or 80 dollar payout. I have gotten three $100+ dollar batches.Those are sweet provided Costco has the full compliment of beef. Otherwise your order and profits can shrink quickly.
What city do you work in? I like Instacart but the biggest batch I’ve see is $35. That’s in San Antonio Tx

I applied for Shipt a couple days ago. They did not ask me for a video interview. Background came back really quickly. Maybe because I have had it done for about 6 other apps already. Now I am just waiting for my card in the mail!

you’re wrong about shipt!!! the tip is not included! if it tells you your making $11-$15 for the order, it is not including the tip, since the tip is not included. I typically get tipped $20-$50 per order. Also, with shipt it’s really a hierarchy the longer you’ve been doing it, the more orders you get offered, and you get the higher tipping customers.
On my orders after the tip I was still within the estimated range.
Gig Nation hmm they must not be good tippers then hahah, but it’s not including tip. For example, an order i had today was a $26-32 with their formula i got paid $29 from order pay. They then tipped me $30 They’re estimate pay is just the amount of money that shipt is giving you.

Yea idk. Maybe it is required... Target owns shipt and that’s where most of the batches are, so would actually be pretty easy for them to report shoppers not following protocol now that I think about it..
Shipt says you don't have to wear the shirt but they say it presents a more professional image that could increase your tips. Who knows if this is true or not but presentation is actually more important than ppl are consciously aware of. 70% of communication is non-verbal and 55% of first impressions are based on what you see (appearance and body language).
@@GigTube Many customers may be choosing no-contact delivery during the coronavirus pandemic but they likely won't continue doing that in a few months when it's over. The majority of customers want to have contact bc they want to get their groceries inside immediately and put cold items in the refrigerator. I'm not saying the shirt is a dealbreaker but if you're going to the effort of shopping the order then you might as well give yourself the best possible chance of earning the most amount of money for the job by looking professional and showing that you take the job seriously even if it's the most chill job ever. Plus, the customers aren't necessarily familiar with the rules so if you're not wearing the shirt they could rate you lower bc they think you're slacking and Shipt requires a 4.8 stars or higher rating or you're at-risk of being deactivated

I had NO IDEA what was even happening...I never even got warned that my rating had fallen below a 4.9 which is what it had been for the entire year and a half I have been shopping!!! was sooooo pissed. I didn't even know they could do that.…I appealed and basically said I have no idea why they would deactivate me and they came back and just said yep you violated the shopper agreement you are gone! So rude!!. I want to thank #BRAVENOTCH tho who reactivated me he had my back when support didn't
