How, you ask! By sandbagging, I answer. You've got a 350ish score according to crossresults. What the hell are you doing jn the "B" race? Maybe you are one of the racers not totally deserving that score, come to New England and earn it.
USAC points aren't the same as upgrade points. He said he hadn't raced CX in a couple years. He probably doesn't have enough points to race above Cat 3. That's my guess.
@@jasongrubb3350 Jason, do you race cross? I took more than five years off in order to be a dad - who didn't need to sneak off every weekend to race. When I came back I didn't/couldn't drop down to cat 4/5 to do a "B" race. Anybody who has raced more than a couple of seasons, or earned a 350 should not be doing "novice" newcomers races. Sandbaggers suck!
@@isitrachelorj3953 Yes, I race cross. This guy is racing Cat 3. By definition that's not novice. Cat 3 is respectable for being away from the sport for a couple years, and he didn't even win so I would hardly call him a sandbagger. I don't understand what your beef is.

A 350 gets you a 1st/2nd row call up in all but the biggest races here in New England (We did OK at nats last year in the masters races - look at who won/placed). This dude seems very happy with himself for passing so many racers - he should be ashamed if he didn't. He's a varsity player in the JV game.
