Hi Dr Sahana, how did you start preparation of usmle alone, and how you stay there in US untill you get residency. How you came to know all the things needed like LORs, Research, usc etc.
Hi mam I was searching about usmle and randomly found a video of yours it's so helpful and feeling bad about not found u before and thank you so much for your guidance ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️and I was a future aspirant gonna give usmle after 2024 was feeling a little afraid about the changes that gonna make 🥺but had hope of clearing it with your guidance thak you mam🥰
Ma'am, I have taken 4 drops to get my neet ug seat at the semi-government. Will it affect me in the usmle as I have already taken multiple drops is it considered a setback during selections?
I wanted to ask, usmle step 1 low score means weak foundation would it be hard to cover it up in step 2, i scored 205-210 between consistently in my nbmes cuz its pass and fail now, so at the same time for the sake of getting it done, i didn’t tried ways to get my scores up, i passed step 1 but even i believed that i have poor exam taking skills than any sort of major major knowledge deficit, irrespective should i stop hoping on getting 260s+ like u, i am consistently hammered by my peers that, its pointless i cant score good in step2 at my luckiest 230, its killing my drive, what would be your opinion.
Do you think long hours working in USA worth it ? U study 2,3 years for step exams then u have residency for 5 year , working 80 hours in week , u kind of lose 7 years of your life , socializing , enjoying ur youth for American dream , I know its gonna be great after graduation but till then its a very long process …. The reason I dont know if its worth it , is this actually 🤷♀️
Obviously it would be worth it as compared to indian doctors 1 )obviously annual income of 2.5cr after completing all things 2) better living conditions and less stress 3) parents can live with us atleast by that time u would be financially strong 4) more respect 5) at last wont get beating by patients as indian doctors also recommend usmle if u can afford
Hey ! So IM residency is 3 years in the US. AVERAGE work hours is around 60 hrs actually and sometimes lesser. Very few programs make you work 80. And definitely the work life balance is much better.
I am starting my MBBS journey and wish to go to the US for my Residency. But the changes from 2024 and WFME accreditation is making it look uncertain for the future aspirants. I hope it gets fixed. Btw I love your videos and your personality. Stay healthy 💕
Hey doctor! I just wanted to know the timeline. Suppose I write step 2 and complete my mbbs internship this year, then what year would I start my electives, and what year would I start residency? and also is someone basically settled in usa once electives start, or do you have to come back to india? Thanks!!
Do one need to work on english accent also if planning for MLE
Love the extra insight into your life DoctorDeva!! Love love this video, definitely need more fun videos like this once in a while!!!
Please make a video on your journey to "finding" electives and what would you have done differently (or same) to find USCE. Appreciate your work 🤗
Definitely!

Why did u apply a year after your graduation ? Because of extenship of internship ?
How does the status of the medical college matter step 1 became P/F
If i have relatives working in the US as doctors can it help me in networking?

@@DoctorDeva Please also mention whether such questions have any difference between step 1 and step2ck and how to tackle them in step1 and ck

Hey Dr Deva😁
With the changes coming in 2024. Am I able to register for the usmle exam before 2024 and still write it after 2024?
Yes that's what ecfmg said. But they keep changing rules so keep checking the page
As of now if you register before 2024 you can apply for match
@@DoctorDeva ok thank you doc

@@bw989 so after internship one year for rotations and steps then you apply September you start residency in next year March
