Something I really liked about Donna was that she was the only woman to not fall in love with the Doctor. She genuinely wanted to travel, help people, and do what the Doctor does. Even Captain Jack had a crush on the Doctor.
@@elisnyder863 Previous companions have definitely had flirtatious relationships with the Doctor. With Bill onward the show became more self-aware, with Bill being a gay black woman meeting a previous incarnation of the Doctor who found that inappropriate, but even Amy pointed out the Doctor is a bloke who walks into a room, flirts with all the girls and laughs at the boys.
I knew the 60th anniversary specials were coming, but it's only recently started sinking in for me that this is actually happening and we're going to be seeing Tennant and Tate on the screen again. The end of Donna's story left a hole in my heart, so I'm really curious to see if and how they bring closure to this duo. They were together for such a short time in the grand scheme of things, but clearly loved each other to bits and brought out the absolute best in each other. IMO the Doctor never had a companion in the modern era who was as good for him as Donna.
I’ve missed her so much, even more than the tenth doctor. Her story was so relatable; she wasn’t Clara the Hero, Rose the Love Interest or Amy the Fairytale. She was a good person and kind and just human, with all her flaws unapologetically on display. Her incredible empathy always shone through in every episode she was in. I hope they do her justice on this anniversary. Her arc being essentially reset is a big part of the tragedy of the character and I’m a bit worried how they’re going to handle such a reversal. But I have faith RTD knows the character inside and out and would never stoop so low as to just say “and then Donna remembered, back to the aliens!” with no consequences.
I really wish the series had a dynamic like this again, I feel like the only other pairing that comes close is Fifth Doctor and Tegan, mostly because the actors spend every interview bickering like an old married couple
Just great casting! They just seem to bounce off each other .. they both seem to totally engage in there characters and enjoy what there doing .. just awsome
The doctor may have a bunch of companions and friends, but his bestie will always be Donna. 😂 (sometimes I wonder how she'd interact with all the other incarnations 👀)
Now that he’s back they should have a resolution of Donnas memory loss. She doesn’t have to necessarily remember him, but feel like she used to when being with him.
I feel embarrassed for Ms. Foster, cause she doesn't stop talking until Donna mimes "Them, talking". It took her *that* long to see the man kneeling outside the (decently big) windows of her office, or the woman playing charades right outside her door.
You forgot: 10th: I am... Spartacus. Donna: And so am I. Caecilius/12th: Mr and Mrs Spartacus? 10th and Donna: Oh no, we're so not married. 12th: Oh, brother and sister. Yes, of course! You really look much alike. 10th and Donna: Really?

Well I think the only other main companion not to fall in love with the Doctor in the Modern series was Bill
Even the tardis has a crush on doctor
Tell me you've only watched the Tenth Doctor era without telling me you've only watched the Tenth Doctor era
@@elisnyder863 i mean, theyre also arguably correct 9th doctor era-wise.

They're so fun together, like a couple of siblings spending half their time squabbling! 😄
I agreed
Doctor: "Now, come on!!"
Donna: "I'm in my wedding dress!!"
Doctor: "Yes!! You look lovely!! COME ON!!!!"
Series 4 of Doctor Who, will always be my favourite season, Donna is the best companion for the Doctor.

Doctor: WHAT'S THAT?
Donna: SALT!
Doctor: THAT'S TOO SALTY!!!
Donna: Oh that's tOO SalTY....
Fun Fact: When the doctor mouths “I can see that”, you can hear Miss Foster Stop Talking 1:25

She stops after Donna says ‘This is brilliant’

I loved this! They are my favourite ever! Can't wait to see them interact again!

Her quote "dumbo" never gets old

I mean Cathrine is back for the special too. Im thinking they might have him pick her up at a point before she had her memories wiped
Truly the best friend The Doctor ever had
Donna's little "meh.." is always so good
