But still even if he beats Alcaraz he will be drained for the finals, but I do hope that they can provide us with possibly match of the year. Because when Novak retires I honestly do not see anyone beating this in form Alcaraz ever on this tournament, he is a beast.
I agree, as Novak fan, i think he will be demolished by Alcaraz, first and foremost Alcaraz is really good after he initiates a drop shot, Novak is AWFUL when it comes to net play and often loses points when there is drop shot involved against him Plus to win against Alcaraz your serve has to be aggressive and precise, Novaks serve has been shaky to say the least But I did notice something about Alcaraz weakness that Novak might have seen too as I have seen him "practice" attacking this weakness, lets see(don't want to mention what those are but lets see, I will just say that I did see Novak working on weapons against this weakness, actually two )

I'm a Djokovic fan and I don't see Djokovic defeating this guy based in the current form Djokovic is in. A 2021 Djocovic form would have been a close contest against Alcaraz. I think Alcaraz will defeat Djokovic in straight sets.
Are you a Nole Fan?? Then should know that he´s one of the toughest mind in history of sports, and Alcaraz has a lot to improve on this. Tennis is not only body and technique, mind is a very important factor adn Djokovic has won thousands of battles like this, Alcaraz is still 20 and with a lot to improve on this, especially against a monster like Nole. Alcaraz had even this year defeats that Nole or Rafa never had in their prime, so he still has to grow on this and for sure, Nole will punish every mental down that Alcaraz will have in the match, and for sure, he will have, so don´t subestimate the greatness of Djokovic so soon.
Well it all started for Alcaraz against Tsitspas in the 3rd round of the US Open in 2021. We knew that day he would be special. And here we are two years later against Tsitsipas. This time as world number 1, Tsitsipas yet to beat Alcaraz in a match.
Carlos wanted to give this crowd their money's worth. They wanted it so bad for this to last longer and watch some more good points, it got to him. That's the truth. Djokovic and Rafa do this as well from time to time. When they are certain of the outcome. Carlos was never in any doubt, even though he dropped his intensity dramatically in the 3rd. You probably are blind. Tsitsipas changed his game in 3rd. It is not that Alcaraz is much better it is that usual Tsitsi game is hugely twrrible for the match that Alcaraz plays. In the third he changed a little from his usual game. This was the biggest change.
They're implementing AI and everything, it's time they invent that damn time machine and let us watch 2008 Nadal v Alcaraz and 2006 Federer v Alcaraz. Those would be some popcorn matches!
I am a big supporter of one handed BH. But those 3 consecutive wins respectively over shapo, muzetti and tsitsi by the two handed genius, made me suspect about the matter
Mr T sacrifices the strategic advantage with his single hander backhand. He loses ground with it. I liked when he used more height with it but then Alcaraz started coming forwards, but that was the right idea. The advantage of the single hander is disguise and variation, which T doesn't use (aside from volleying); I'm thinking short slices like Ash Bartey, knifed slices (not his floaters), BH dropshots, more use of the angles, a half volley block/repost like Fed. But mostly he just needs to be able to maintain depth with his backhand, especially on clay
It is in the eyes. This kid is made of very special ingredients. If he does not suffer a serious injury he will break all records and will raise the bar very high. A new generation of his own. Well done. About Stefanos ; great player but before any technical or strategy change he must work on his mental ‚world‘ because tennis is a very mental sport. Good luck to him.
Tsitsipas had no gameplan and no hope really. He was tanking this match 100%. His previous head 2 head with alcaraz was 4-0 and he didnt have any plans to change that.
Alcaraz is the evolution of tennis 🎾 he is literally a combination of Novak and Fed and Nadal. Couldn’t believe what i was watching sometimes, unbelievable kid.
Too bad Tsitsi didn't play on the level he was in third set, but we all knew he'll lose. That backhand, god dammit!! Not gonna comment anymore the obvious.
Tsitsipas is playing and expecting the „old“ way of tennis, with long baseline rallies on clay court. Alcaraz plays with a complete different approach focused on quickly making the point, plus he has all the top skills to play a high vveriaty of shots and never give up any ball.
The best players step up in QFs against other players who until then looked untouchable. Always amazes me to see it. Tsitsipas looked untouchable and then today was demolished. With that said: Who will win Djokovic or Alcaraz? On today's showing Alcaraz but on past ability and weapons and total game you might say Djokovic?
I said yesterday that Djokovic will beat Alcaraz, but now I'm not so sure. Just incredible tennis all across the board from the young Spaniard -- he'll be extremely hard to beat. It will be extremely interesting to see how the match pans out when they face each other in the semi-finals on Friday.

Tsitsipas should have won a Grand Slam already but for his backhand, he seems to only be able to go cross court with it and loop it in the air not hit it flat like Wawrinka does. He should get a former great one handed backhand player to iron out his faults on that shot, its a real shame because he has everything else skill wise and he is mentally tough too. I would love to see Novak winning his 23rd in the end, but I don't see how he can beat this Alcaraz honestly. This is pure Rafa God mode performance on clay. I just hope that Nole could bring his A game knowing what's at stake and knowing that he is getting older, this is his last chance IMO to win French Open. But still even if he beats Alcaraz he will be drained for the finals, but I do hope that they can provide us with possibly match of the year. Because when Novak retires I honestly do not see anyone beating this in form Alcaraz ever on this tournament, he is a beast.
I agree, as Novak fan, i think he will be demolished by Alcaraz, first and foremost Alcaraz is really good after he initiates a drop shot, Novak is AWFUL when it comes to net play and often loses points when there is drop shot involved against him
Plus to win against Alcaraz your serve has to be aggressive and precise, Novaks serve has been shaky to say the least
But I did notice something about Alcaraz weakness that Novak might have seen too as I have seen him "practice" attacking this weakness, lets see(don't want to mention what those are but lets see, I will just say that I did see Novak working on weapons against this weakness, actually two )
Sinner is the only person rn that can beat Alcaraz.
Awful!? Djokovic greatest male player of all time (although much debated with Federer and Nadal)
Probably even Nadal won't be able to defeat this Alcaraz. I honestly don't see Djocovic defeating Alcaraz. Even if he brings his A+ game. Alcaraz's A+ game is better than Novak's A+.
You just knew Alcaraz was going to abuse Tsitsipas' backhand.

Carlos looks in GOAT-form, I have to say it. Stef can't do anything against him.

I love djokovic but right now i don't think he can beat alcaraz😮😢
Nice to see Tsitsipas not giving up.
I mean Stef has said all those nice things about him lately. He let him save face a bit 😅

It is not that Alcaraz is much better it is that usual Tsitsi game is hugely twrrible for the match that Alcaraz plays.
In the third he changed a little from his usual game.
This was the biggest change.

Very true comment...
From where does he generate this kind of power in shot making. If he continues this he would become a recipent of injury every now and then.
But mostly he just needs to be able to maintain depth with his backhand, especially on clay
thats happens when one player plays their best match on his career and the other his worst match of the season...

It is in the eyes. This kid is made of very special ingredients. If he does not suffer a serious injury he will break all records and will raise the bar very high. A new generation of his own. Tsitsipas had no gameplan and no hope really. He was tanking this match 100%. His previous head 2 head with alcaraz was 4-0 and he didnt have any plans to change that.
i felt embarrassed for tsitsipas
Alcaraz is the evolution of tennis 🎾 he is literally a combination of Novak and Fed and Nadal. Couldn’t believe what i was watching sometimes, unbelievable kid.
If you ask me... 19, 20 year old Rafa was better.
@@nikolaivanovic3163 Alcaraz is already the much more complete player Nadal was at his age. Much better net play, serve, etc..

Carlos should be in jail. He just annihilated tsisi😂😂😂
Too bad Tsitsi didn't play on the level he was in third set, but we all knew he'll lose. That backhand, god dammit!! Not gonna comment anymore the obvious.
He wasn't permitted to, I think.
A wake up call for Tsitsipas.
Carlito possesses a Federer forehand and movement, allied with a Djokovic backhand. A lethal combination .
I'd like to give props to those who designed Tsitsipas' outfit. It looks fantastic
6:57 unreal how Carlos gets this ball
Great match and excellent highlights!!!!!!!!!!
1:20 young Nadal vibes...
Backhand Tsitsipas shots bounce very high and Alcaraz destroys those. They are like gifts to him. He requires more flat backhand.
Honestly, Tsitsipas is standing way over in his back hand side, which Alcaraz took full advantage of
GOAT
I said yesterday that Djokovic will beat Alcaraz, but now I'm not so sure. Just incredible tennis all across the board from the young Spaniard -- he'll be extremely hard to beat. It will be extremely interesting to see how the match pans out when they face each other in the semi-finals on Friday.
If Alcaraz plays on this level he will easily win the tournament. No doubt! Tsitsipas is world class and looked like a crazy amateur during this game! This kid is on GOAT-level so early in his career! 🔥
@@windi1982 Good point. Yes, he did make Tsitsipas (a great player in his own right) look bad. If Medvedev is a wall, then Alcaraz is a fortress; it's almost impossible to get the ball by him. He was in beast mode against the big handsome Greek.
Almost perfect until match point at 5-2, but to then be taken to a tiebreak from there is a worrying lapse. Still well played in the tiebreak to avoid the choke, I wonder how the match would have turned out if Tsitsipas had have taken that tiebreak

This is Nadal vs Federer at Roland Garros 2008
Tsitsipas should have won a Grand Slam already but for his backhand, he seems to only be able to go cross court with it and loop it in the air not hit it flat like Wawrinka does. He should get a former great one handed backhand player to iron out his faults on that shot, its a real shame because he has everything else skill wise and he is mentally tough too. I hope he does something soon because careers go by quickly.
Should ask Patrick to help him haha
The only answer is Roger Federer but...
