I just have this feeling that Narcissa was at platform 9 3/4 the first time scorpius goes to Hogwarts and Andromeda is there with teddy lupin, and they see each other and who they have become. They don’t say anything, they both know that it will never be as it was before, but from that glance they forgive each other and are able to move on though they always love each other and never forget there childhood.

I like to think that it's Harry asked Narssisa to help him notify Andromeda about the passing of Sirius, Ted, Remus, Nyphadora and Bellatrix, not only because Narssisa would be next of kin for Andromeda but also because it would allow the sister to reconnect after over 25 years of not talking or seeing each other.
Highly unlikely. Narcissa was on the side of the war that killed Andromeda’s husband AND daughter.
Love the attention to details in the progression of their costumes in relation to the individual narratives!
and to Abbi-Kaye: you did an amazing job portraying a character that has not been portrayed before and whose character you had to essentially create from scratch. you did an amazing job bringing andromeda to life!
Your eye actually brought so much to the character, I wouldn't have replaced you for anything in the world
I think the thing that resonated most with me during the Sisters of House Black was that the music box played when the sisters are showing their love for each other, even if it was in ways the others didn't understand. It was a very clever device. Also loved the subtle hints of how Bellatrix and Andromeda were frequently mistaken for each other, right until the end when Andromeda made the decisive decision to go her own way. Loved the film!
The three actresses--Kelsey and Abbi-Kaye Ellison and Hannah Snow--playing the Black sisters did a wonderful job, as indeed did the rest of the cast. I didn't catch on until my second viewing of the short film that all the memories were supposed to be Narcissa's and was glad that was confirmed here. Kelsey Ellison did a good job imagining this world in writing and in portraying Bellatrix's descent into madness. I look forward to seeing more from the cast of Sisters of House Black in the future. Thank you to all those who worked on this film, its sets, costumes, jewelry, etc. Fantastic work!
Genius writing, great execution, very professional. Great casting choices. Sometimes I can really see a bit of Nymphadora in Andromeda's actress and that excited me a lot. Great attention to detail, it's obvious that the film was created by true fans who love and care for the series. As a writer,, I admire you for this project and I hope we can expect from you more work like this in the future, be it in the Potterverse or not. Keep up the good work!

Sisters Of House Black is truly my favourite fan film ever. The acting, the casting, the script, everything was so spot-on. I saw it many years ago but still keep coming back to it. The way the story moves around with different times in the past and the present is directed so well. And obviously the attention to the detail is marvelous.
That being said, my favourite part about the movie is actually the way the characters were portrayed. There's loads of amazing fan films out there with a good story but nailing the characters so perfectly is the best thing about this one. All three of the actors really brought the characters to life and did them justice.
The Black sisters have always been one of the most fascinating characters in the HP universe. I love a good symbolism and the way these three portray so many automatically, it draws me in. I love imaging them in different scenarios and in different contexts and how all three of them always make such a perfect distinction is truly satisfying to me.
For example: moral alignment, Bella - Chaotic Evil, Andy - Lawful Good, Cissy - True Neutral. Bella chose power, Andy chose love, Cissy chose family. Bella married for her parents approval, Andy married for love, Cissy did both. These are just some basic examples but the best one is how they also embody the tale of three brothers so well too, again, with Bella choosing power like the brother who chose the elder wand, Andy choosing love like the brother who chose the resurrection stone and of course, Narcissa choosing the best of both worlds or the safest option like the invisibility cloak.
GOD, I LOVE THEM SO MUCH. ISTG THEY'RE MY ROMAN EMPIRE FOR SURE.
Brilliant documentary! The great amount of detail in this film never fails to amaze me.
The character I always resonate with the most is Narcissa. She doesn't get swept up in ideologies, which is something I can relate to. She is calm and collected, like I always tend to be. Despite her being in the dark side, I always saw her as essentially human. She might be cold and proud and selfish at times, but at the end of the day she will always be loyal to those she loves, and sacrifice herself for them.
Her short appearances in Half Blood Prince and Deathly Hallows are, in my opinion, heartbreaking. A woman who has lost everything, alone and frightened, scrambling to protect her husband and son. And the way she is portrayed in SOHB really matches my idea of her. I've always found her incredibly fascinating, and worthy of exploring further.
All this to say, great work once again Kelsey! My dreams of a Black sisters fan film came true thanks to you. I send you a million kisses and my endless support!

Hello, Kelsey. I found your channel by accident, but I just want to say this movie was absolutely brilliant.
I truly thought this was brilliant! That little nugget of Bella licking the blood on her wound "pure" was very clever & an excellent nod to where we first meet her in HP. The music box was a fun tidbit. Watching Bellatrix's mental decline made her much more understandable. I'd never have guessed it a low budget film because it was done so well. A movie I found pure rubbish was the one with Voldy & Bella's child... I have nothing nice to say about that one. I had two sisters and we were all totally different so I found their relationships very believable. I somehow missed your movie until today (6/20/22) and I will be sharing the link so my other HP fans can see this! Stay magical.

The first time I watched the film I thought that it may be only my eyes tricking me but when I watched the film repeatedly I realized that when Andromeda says take me to our parents I couldn't help noticing that Bellatrix's eyes widen not only with fury but with astonishment too because she is surprised by Andromeda's daring of being allowed to be taken to her parents........ I dunno that if this is your mistake or you filmed it like this.......

Truly interesting. Even while watching the film itself I could admire all the in-depth detail that was put into this. It was truly amazing, such a heartbreaking story and I appreciate all the hard work that was put into making this for millions of Potterheads to cry over.
I loved this! I love your analysis of all three of the sisters! Personally as a Bellatrix cosplayer I resonated with Bellatrix the most; however I also relate to her ambition in order to achieve; yet I also find Narcissa’s love for her family admirable 😊💜

I love learning about all the details and background behind scenes and characters. You really put a lot of time, effort, and love into writing this movie Kelsey. I think I’m most like Narcissa, I tend to keep quiet and don’t want to get in the way of what other people are planning.
I loved the film. The sisters aways were friends. Narcissa and Bellatrix were betrayed when Andromeda left. You did a great job portraying that. Their bond was unbreakable at first, but as time goes on, they grew apart.

A really fascinating behind the scenes insight! I like all three of the sisters though if I have to pick I'd choose Andromeda as little is known about her in the books. Would a Director's cut be possible with the deleted scences in place for after seeing them some parts of the story made more sense.
This story left me thing that if after Voldimort's final down fall and Bella's death weather or not Narcissa and /or Andromeda would try to reach out to each other or would they be beyond reconciling by then?
I've written some fanfiction exploring this last question of yours. I think reconciliation could have been in the cards for them, despite the obvious chasm between them. I think they would be like balm for each other's wounds after the war.

I loved the film so much......It deserves all the praise!!! I loved bellatrix the most though(weird flex)....but just following her story and the seeing the path of madness.... was all so intriguing and there were things in the film i had no idea about!!.....having you play her just made me love the character even more.....cause i loved...loved loved your performance!!!

I’m disgusted that anyone would tell you your artificial eye will hinder your acting career, I don’t think I have EVER seen another short film that has depicted Bellatrix as good as you... I think you could’ve definitely played a younger Bellatrix if Harry Potter movies included any flashback that included her! Your acting was so good, I fell in love with this story of where the Black sisters come from and WHY they are the way they are... the way Bellatrix’a dad basically corrupts her sanity by taking her memories, If anyone is responsible for driving Bellatrix crazy it is him. His corrupted relationship with Bellatrix basically PUSHED her into a relationship with the Dark Lord that resembled a strong male figure that she gravitated to because of the way she lacked that relationship with her father.. basically “Daddy Issues” haha. You are amazing please keep making more of these short films, I love your story telling and I love the quality of this film. I think it is incredibly professional and looks like Yates directed this film himself. Amazing quality 👌👌👌👌
3 years later - I agree. Kelsey's Bellatrix was fantastic. I didn't even notice the eye until she pointed it out in this video, and then I had to rewind it a few times to see what she was talking about.

Your performance as bellatrix was probably the best part of the film. You nailed it.
Bellatrix is so beautiful, and the actress who played her so got used to the role that some moments I thought “omg she really looks like Helena( when she played bellatrix)”
There was just one thing upsets me. In the film Sirius is 15 as you say but there is at least 13 years between Dora tonks and him. We had to see pregnant or at least runaway dromeda. But everything outside this is just beautiful, good and hard work. Keep going girls! We love it!
The film was written and shot before the canon on Tonks birthday canon came out... so yeah that’s why it’s not covered in this story

This video was amazing, the deleted scenes make the film even better, especially the one with Andromeda and Narcissa because Andromeda trusted Narcissa enough to nearly tell her about Ted, and she would've if Bellatrix hadn't cast the Dark Mark right at that moment! I like Andromeda the most but I can also see myself in Narcissa a bit because I value family a lot and I'm not outspoken and confident like Andromeda and Bellatrix!
I liked hearing what you had to say about each character, and I definitely took away the same 'lessons' from them when watching the film, even if they all had a sort of tragic end. I loved watching Bellatrix the most - bacause Kelsey (it wouldn't have been the same if you didn't play her) and Helena, of course - but I relate to the other sisters most. I think Andromeda and I have the same values and beliefs where love is concerned and doing what's right, but I also share in Narcissa's tendencies to keep a lot of my opinions hidden and think more than I speak, or only take action at the last minute. I can also be quite stuck in my own head. Anyway, I'm going to re-watch the film now ;)

I would not even say you have the artificial eye. Rather it gave some madness in your face (like the actor who played Colombo and he lost his eye too!) which matches Bellatrix perfectly. Narcissa is so sweet and proud and Andromeda is really well seen as a family rebel. You did incredible job and wish you the best!

This was an amazing film and you played Bellatrix brilliantly.The Black family has aways been so interested to me I aways foudn them to be the Targaryens of the HP especially the Black sisters and brothers(you should relaly make a film about Sirius and Regulus!).I find all of the sisters fascinating but I probably relate more to Andromeda because I also believe that we're all equals,that power isn't everything and when we see that something you don't believe is right is happening you should speak against it. It's also great seeing how they loved each other but as they grew the toxicity and idelogoy of their family broke them apart.It's especially heartbrekaing with Andromeda and Narcissa because they did have quite a lot in common with each other - they both loved their familes and children and were willing to do anything to protect them but ultimately the choices they make drive them apart.I would love if they ended up reconciling because by the end they both suffer and loose so much and are pretty much the only family they have left.Ultimately I think each sister represents something.Bellatrix symbolises what happens when you let power corrupt you,Andromea is about love and humanity/equality and the sacrfises we have to make sometimes in order to preserve them and with Narcissa you see what happens when you don't speak or act against something you know isn't correct because power and prestige is more important to you-utimately her chocie disown her sister and coninue perpetuating blood supremacy leads to the person she loves the most- her son become a Death eater and ending up pretty broken and traumtaised by the end of the war.Great job and I wish you all the best in your next projects!:)

About Andromeda. She’s brilliant. We didn’t watch her in séries of Harry Potter films or the information from books about her not so much. Rowlling focuses that Andromeda is a lot like Bellatrix and even Harry was confused when he saw her. Your interprétation is perfect!

I love the sisters of house black honestly the whole black family is interesting to me because we don't have that much info on their past I mean other then Sirius mentioning he ran away and kreature telling us about Regulus death we don't get much of a backstory in the book, also I love that you included the fact that their mother couldn't tell Andromeda apart from bellatrix

I think in a way I resonated with all 3 sisters at one time or another in my life understandable I love my family I mean who doesn't love their family or wanna seek their approval or unconditional love cuz of that at times I was like Bellatrix turning a blind eye blind love I also felt like Narcissa in the middle wanting to meditate for peace cuz I love them but I feel more like Andromeda now no matter how much I love my family always I'd rather follow my morals my heart and I know I've made mistakes but I hope they forgive me and I'll always love and forgive them too cuz I don't believe that they really were trying to upset me or each other and I know my mistakes were wrong and my mistakes weren't intended to hurt any other them either. Deep down it wasn't just blind love I got too invested in trying to make them all happy that I did stupid things that were wrong cuz of it but in the end I chose to leave not through abandoned them but for myself and for them. Also I think we all relate with these 3 sisters at times in life sometimes but we're all strong people and we'll get through anything we set our minds to. We care we forgive and we stand up for what's right and in a way my family inspired me to do that cuz at times they did that. They're beautiful in They're own way and they're human

Honestly if I had to choose one of the sisters I resonate with the most, it would actually be Bellatrix. I'm determined and stubborn and, once I've decided something, it takes a lot to change my mind. That does seem to have the unfortunate side effect of meaning I'm pretty quick to get angry and defensive, though, and I have a bad habit of deeming people my enemies without trying to understand them.
I resonate with Narcissa the most, as she is strategical, quiet but powerful, and loyal. Like me! I also think she'd be a Neutral Evil, like me too :)
