Never Been Courtin’ Afore - George Bastow (Invicta 91) (1910, pressed 1912)

So this another Bastow record, on the quite uncommon invicta label. How very very interesting, this should also mean that he recorded for *Homophone (that general company) too, so not invicta as I thought before (Invicta used some German masters from other labels, but they made a decent amount of original recordings).

Poking fun at the slow & uneducated was all 'grist to the mill' of Edwardian music hall. Like the reference to famous actors toward the end. Congrats on owning & thanks for posting this rarity.
