    Dude's dad was dying in hospital and he leaned on staff that couldn't pull it off... Broken hip is like kiss of death in old people and if I knew that then so did Kirby and he was under immense pressure already without QB and Kicker then add attack and dekay and dad falling down... Coach is legend and very few could handle just one of those but he did all simultaneously and we still had a few shots in that game to overcome some rough calls and missed calls. he looked like he aged 5 years in just a few days guys so let's keep all that in perspective. 🙏🕊️RIP Sonny and GET WELL Elle!!!

    1) Get a new OC. It’s been clear that play-calling has been out of sorts all season. With a new QB in Gunnar with a different skill set, go get someone whose playbook complements him.
    2) Secure the Branch brothers or other top WRs from the portal, and prioritize guys that can get separation in routes that aren’t deep balls.
    3) Reconsider O-Line coaching staff. Once borderline RBU is now an afterthought. Need to get some better preparation on the front to enable the offense.
    I think most reasonable UGA fans would say that winning the SEC was a bit shocking given the chaos needed to get us there and the consistent struggles observed all season long. Hats off to Kirby on the coaching piece there. The issue with the ND game was that it was very much winnable - just poor decisions and individual players in a select few moments that decided the outcome of the game at large. Although I want the natty, I hope this does wake Kirby up to some much needed tweaks to his system, especially on the offensive play-calling side of things

      Bottom line just ask yourself how the UGA finishes last in the SEC in rushing & remind yourself how many times GA didn't score a TD in the 1st half or only scored 1 TD only to find some offense in the 2nd half when forced to open it up.. Very depressing & next year they lose so much on the defensive side.. It's going to be ugly.

    The Defense for UGA wasn’t the problem. They played well enough to win. ND made few mistakes and took advantage of UGAs big mistakes (fumble/kick return) and then to NDs credit they protected that lead with good ball control offense. The UGA Oline was the big problem that was supposed to be a strength and it ended up being one of their two biggest weaknesses. Congrats to ND, they have a coach that is going to keep ND competing with Ohio State, UGA, Bama type teams, he’s a really good coach. Honestly, (last nights game included) this has been such a frustrating season to watch per game. Every game was a struggle, and not just the tough teams, every game they struggled being consistent. They never played one really solid complete game on both sides of the ball all season and had to struggle to win games against teams they were supposed to beat handily. Those deficiencies showed up last night again and ND team that is fundamentally sound with speed and toughness to make them pay and that they did.
    Best of luck in the next round and see you next year.

He was decent his first 7 years although not as accomplished as Kirby. After that period, Mark Richt as HC as far as team accomplishments took a nose dive and fell off a cliff. I hope Kirby is not following the similar trajectory. He may not be as hungry after 2 Natties and he won't be firing anyone anytime soon unless someone else twists his arm.

The college football landscape has changed dramatically (for the worse, I might add) and this is the result. ND spent a few million $$ more than UGA and it showed yesterday. Recruiting means nothing now and spending $$ does. Everything has changed and honestly I've lost interest in this version of college football.

      Thanks. The portion of Georgia fans that know football and knows how to watch the game other than mere entertainment are aware that Gunner did just fine for his first game as QB1. Even Trevor Lawrence as out QB could not help when we cannot run or catch balls with the current level of talent or health. Ability to run and pass are connected and affects the other so when one side is lacking, puts pressure on the other. We need more playmakers who can be more clutch and not focus strictly on 4/5-Star ratings of players entering college market. Also, Georgia has too many coaches that are great at recruiting process but are not that good at actually coaching up players (my take, my opinion). I think Notre Dame having had to really take a good look after Brian Kelly left took all the right steps and not cut corners in recruiting/portal/NIL to get the right chess pieces needed to make a team that can fight that is worthy of being called The Fighting Irish. You have a QB and edge rusher from Duke, great kicker from South Carolina, etc. that contributed in beating Georgia. Georgia needs to get off of its high horse and actually pay attention in acquiring really good talent.

      @YT5052 День назад

      @ Kickoff returns are not under GA control other than missed tackles that can happen from time to time but the Bonehead "Analytics" decision to go aggressive right before the half when ND defense was manhandling Georgia O-Line in short field situation caused the strip sack. At 6-3, at that time and how the game was flowing, the best course of action was to hand it off or take a knee and quickly regroup at half. Being aggressive just before half was the same cause behind Beck injury. Why wait until near half to go aggressive?!? Should have been more aggressive in the bottom of the first quarter or beginning of second. Whoever is in the coaching staff with analytics needs to understand the football game and how situational awareness factors in to the numbers in the analytics.

  • @YT5052
    @YT5052 День назад

    At the end of the day, you have to play complementary football. In this game, there were 4 Phases instead of the traditional 3 phases. If you can achieve good execution in any 3 out of 4, you can win most games. Notre Dame had Defense (strip sack + 7 points of TD), Special Teams (FG kicker clutch and made all 3 of his almost 50 yard kicks even though he was 8 for 16 prior to that game, Kickoff Return for TD), and Great Coaching (11-sub to force GA offsides for Automatic 1st down) while okay in offense but R. Leonard did what was needed at critical stages to make it work. Georgia offense suffered from O-Line getting beat even though it was bigger and heavier (Notre Dame D-Line was stronger and faster) and so led to poor running game and no play action. Also, Left Tackle was getting a beatdown like he stole something from Notre Dame which led to a strip sack. Gunner did well but no target that can catch the ball. Georgia Defense did well but stayed on the field too long and could not keep the team competitive after BAD COACHING/BAD ANALYTICS that caused Georgia to go "aggressive" just before the half... If you want to be aggressive, you should have been more tough in the middle of first half... For Special Teams, our punting lacked defense and got the punter pressured. Lastly, sub-standard coaching. If you are trailing just before the half with 6-3 on the board, the 3 points difference is not hard to make up. On your end of the field with bad LT play was at high risk for a strip sack that led to ND with less than 10 yards from endzone and TD. Instead of 6-3 at the half, it was 13-3. Beck had more game experience but he had ZERO influence on other players to rally. He is not the tide that can lift all boats at high tide. Gunner can do what Beck can't in the leadership but Kirby did not do himself a favor by limiting Gunner's play time during regular season. Kirby has not matured enough to be like Saban in knowing when to sub out his QB1 and being in a backup to win games. As for the difference against Notre Dame, it was poor O-Line performance that caused the loss as well as no one to run or catch the ball. Georgia O-Line was bigger, taller and heavier in weight but Notre Dame was stronger and faster. Georgia Left Tackle was getting beatdown like he owed Notre Dame money and caused the Gunner strip sack. That and the kickoff return after the half was the 14 quick points in 2 plays less than 54 seconds of game time. Georgia lost by 13 points. That was the game.

    If you take the all time teams in college football, they average 1 championship every 20-30 years. We need to start having conversations about realistic expectations of fans and realistic goals.
    Ohio State has “championship or bust” mentality and they’ve won 1 championship in the last 20 years.
    The playoffs are great and I think aiming for the playoffs is a lot more realistic goal for fans at least. Like March madness. Getting rid of the “we’re going to the natty” and instead “we’re going to compete for a natty”

Another thing i dont remember last time Georgia give up a kick off for a TD in a game much less a big game like that one. Notre Dame OL did a good job on Georgia front 7 , how many times the Notre Dame QB run up middle lot yards converted huge 3rd downs that big difference in that game was ND.
    QB making plays running the ball he had like 80 yards rushing. Certainly dont think blame Bobo is fair. In reality that was least of Georgia problems

    does he do, calls 37 pass plays. Fraser touched the ball 6 times for 54 yds, tell me where that went and Trevor touched it only 11 times. When everybody could see that the first half Gunner was being heavily rushed and blitzed in the first half there were no adjustments made for the 2nd half. All Bobo wanted to do was make Gunner stand in the pocket and wait for plays to open up 20 yds down field. Bobo has done this his whole time at UGA oh and by the way where were the TE's in this game. Bobo is an idiot ever since Kirby brought him back UGA has not won the games that mattered and if you look it up you'll see he didn't his first time at UGA under Richt. One last note if you look closely that idiot ref ran out of the white and into Jones who was barely on the white if at all. The refs fixed that game on numerous calls and were totally bias to ND.
