Thank you, beautiful Archibald family, for showing so much care in your good work, and always helping someone ( that was for sure a good start for the young couple! 😊🙌🏻) And keep on rocking the dad jokes, Alex!! 😂😂

When I was about 22 years old - I lived next door to an elderly lady that gave me dishes and furniture for my first apartment .
One of the items was an easy chair ( over-stuffed parlor chair ) that she told me was purchased when her and her husband
got married right after WWII . This was around 1982 . Over the years , the chair got a lot of use and deteriorated . When it
was all broken down - I took it to a restoration shop and they charged me $1200 to reupholster and restore with all new and
modern materials . The frame was made from maple - very nice . This restoration was done about 10 years ago and the
chair still looks new ! I still have it and use it quite often . Some of that old stuff is worth repair and saving .

Some of that stuff Melissa held back in the kitchen would be a definite sale in our auctions, here in Southern Ontario. We do downsizing and estate auctions, so we're always looking for "anchor" items to move stuff that's less desirable. Those pottery french onion soup bowls would be such an item. Also, Tim Horton's for boxes. They're uniform in size, so easily stacked, and usually very sturdy. Bonus that there's Timmies everywhere lol

    • @GuyWithTheDogs
      @GuyWithTheDogs 2 месяца назад +2

@@justmeiniowa It's the same situation for every successful RUclips creator. People often don't realize that the videos depict events that happened in the past, and that these videos aren't episodes of a network sitcom where the characters interact with one another all the time and that they don't know on a daily, weekly, monthly, or even yearly basis what is going on in their friends' lives.
To answer your question, I responded with "Taking a drink!" to the first person (in the first episode) who suggested that Alex change his style of filmography, but apparently Alex or Melissa deleted the comment...so I'll respect their wishes if they don't want to see those comments. The result, though, is that I have to cut out half my drinking...so maybe it's a good thing. 😉I don't think that they'll ever convince people that Alex is quite aware of every other piece of videography equipment and is making a conscious choice to do it his way.
I imagine, though, that those same people would have seen Ansel Adams' iconic black and while photography, and opined that, "If only he had used color film, he would really have had something!

I grew up with a stereo console cabinet similar to that one. When I was in college, my parents sold it and I was so disappointed. I wanted them to keep it for me to use when I had a home to put it in. I didn't get that home for another ten years, so I guess it was good they sold it. I don't think the couple/family in the home EVER sold anything. Their stuff dates back to the sixties. BRAVO Alex, Melissa and Abigail, 'The Clock House' is slowing letting you guys divest it of it's 'treasures..
Love watching your posts, I hope the wasps/hornets do not 'get you' too.
Sending my heartiest best wishes to all, from Wales.

Oh I think I saw some antler baskets. Sometimes these can go for $300.
If they have today its distinct sides they’re called egg baskets or grannies Fanny baskets

It is best to spary hirnets nest early in the morning or later at night when it is colder. The hornets are less active then. Great finds in the house.

I've never seen so many clocks in a house. I hope you give us a count at the end, lol. Pepper grinders can be worth a lot. They're expensive to buy new and expensive to make.

I kinda love the ceramic chickens from the tea trolley. Though, having just moved 2000 miles i downsized a ton and am continuing to downsize so that my kids never have to hire someone like you!😂❤

If you empty the wheelbarrow you could use it to move more stuff around a whole lot easier.
