Private Donald Fletcher first saw action during the black mesa incident, a helluva first day on the job, his osprey had managed to land safely, though shortly thereafter a massive xenian push forced his squad to retreat, in the action he was knocked unconscious and retrieved by a medic, his weapon was lost and he was forced to rely on his close quarters training for the remainder of the incident, with his squad’s resources strained they were unable to provide him with a new one, due to the casualties in the initial assault his squad chose stealth when trying to make it to the base, through a series of unfortunate events his entire squad was slowly picked off, though he was again unable to snatch any of their weapons due to the area being too hostile, eventually he was finally able to make it the the hecu evacuation rendezvous point, making it just in time, his surviving squad mates noted his ability to use his environment and close quarters training to cleverly fend off the enemy while making a fighting retreat, often blocking the enemy’s advance with environmental hazards by bursting pipes or electrifying puddles, later on he adopted martial arts, stealth, and trapping into his combat methods during the 7 hour war, his location currently remains unknown however, though some seized combine records show him escaping into the wilderness early on in the occupation
Dude, I love your use of integrating I assume sfm animation as part of the visual storytelling. That is really unique and I love it! I also loved the little diorama like area you created with the first person perspective of the hecu. That is really cool, just a bite sized visual of what the actual expansion was. Everything in general was really well put together. You deserve so many more views.
What I always found off-putting is the fact that the HECU here barely looks like the one in the base game. We never see the Cigar and ret beret grunts, and the shotgunner and gas masks variants are super rare for some reason, even though they made up the largest portion of the HECU in half life
Good video however theres one other instance in which a grunt can be seen without a ranged weapon specifically the dead grunt that the scientist tries to revive in welcome to black mesa if you shoot the scientist while the screen is still black at the beginning of the level then the marine will actually be alive however it will like the marine in this video not use any ranged weapons.
its not actually a varient when you spawn a opposing force hecu he spawns with no weapon so its probably what happened to this guy as a gearbox mistake or he just didnt have a weapon to cut gigabytes of the chapter so it wouldnt crash
If you mean the program I used: It's Blender 3D with the SourceIO addon If you mean the special technique I used for this, then that is called drug abuse my good friend
I'm a few seconds in and the style of the video is amazing. The video is great but here's a critique: Some of the text should stay on screen a bit more so we have time to read without pausing the video.
On the rarest occassion, instead of dropping a submachine gun, he drops a questionably posed Otis with thick donuts stretched all around him.
Rarest "enemy".
Shows a friendly.
Everything is an enemy if you try hard enough

Screw the algorithm, this shit rocks. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise.
I guess either that was a goof or he lost his weapon just before he reached the helicopter.
That last frame

They probably wanted to make them look less antagonistic.
this is cool editing this man deserves more subs
The only even weirder enemy is the HECU Breacher holding a machine gun at the dam

Giving you the cake 🙃
Asking for a quarter😏
Phenomenal editing.
this is amazingly well done god damn
Isn't there an engineer who doesn't have a ranged weapon.
I have no idea

Surprising amount if effort in the video, good shit man
Criminally underrated! I crave more.
splendid
Could you possibly add more bloom? I can still see lines in the video
Will do

the 3d animation in this was sick, only thing id say is that at some points (0:16 eg) the text doesnt stay onscreen long enough
Yeah, sorry about that mate
@@shabxrath no problem brother the video was really good 👍
