a great routine, she could have won a lot of world championschips with this exercise. her dance is so elegant and smooth! i want to see this over and over again!
Long shot as your comment is 15 years old and so many things could have happened since then.. Lottery, car crash, or you could have joined a cult. Do you know the name of the music Boginskaya used at 91 Worlds???
She competed in the US USSR meet in 88 and tumbled just as well, and in the 87 US USSR meet she won the vault, I thought she was better than Schevchenko, I wonder why they didnt even make her an alternate
The choreography makes me imagine an actress who knows she is at her prime but can see the end of her career approaching. It's so mature and operatic. It's wild she's so young here
@emmyjo720 Yes, mattered so much that they could have fallen almost 3 times and still one.... uh huh.... Soviet Union - 395.475 , Romania - 394.125 and I never said anything about Baitova btw... Almost ANYONE could have replaced Shevchencko and they still would have one. I'm 36 years old. I LIVED thru it. There was a huge outcry about Omelianchik not having been on the team as a world champion and EVERYONE agreed they woulda still won with her.
The artistry, grace and expression of the gymnast is amazing! But even though it is really difficult to tumble on the kind of floor they had back then, I must say that her form is just terrible throughout all of her passes :(
I think terrible is a bit of an overstatement, especially bc it's nearly impossible TO separate the equipment from what it even allowed to be feasible. I've seen worse form in 2021 with the most amazing floor exercise modern technology has created!
They may just be beginning to appreciate 70s 80s gymnasts whether they just weren't gym fans or many of the competitions like this one with only British commentary for the Kraft routine or they may be too young to remember and are just beginning to find out. Don't discourage those interested in artistry. Another view of Natalia Frolova's 1986 Kraft unforgettable Sinfornio per un Addio fx ruclips.net/video/0Ist0VLOuII/видео.html - more colorful ruclips.net/video/7tgPKRGdQTY/видео.html same with more people who have watched
Beautiful! My one complaint about the 80’s Soviet routines is how that all did extreme cowboyed double backs/ full-ins and got no deduction for it. That and the bent legs on her twists ruin it for me.
But look at the toepoint and extension when she's not tumbling!! The carriage, the posture, the quality of movement.. Exquisite! I'm not even sure there were specifically-listed form deductions for what you mention back then. Also, the fact that she was even able to perform that combination middle pass in 1986 is a wonder by itself. Expecting perfect form when the equipment wasn't really up to par is asking for a lot. Especially, when as I said, it wasn't as important or deductible then. Innovation trumped perfect form. I'd rather see this a million times over than suffer through having to see Jade Carey's Olympic FX one more time. Jade could tumble with decent form, but her routine was completely devoid of any beauty or artistry.
@emmyjo720 Huh? She turned out to be crucial during team finals? LOL. Um newsflash, only becuz ALL 5 scores then had to count. But they were SOOO far ahead it wouldn't have mattered WHO was the gymnast doing it. As in Frolova or Oksana would have done just as well or even if they didn't it was all theirs. So she was NOT crucial. The only thing that was crucial was that they still had 5 girls. Personally I thought she was hideous besides floor. I couldn't believe they put her on the team. ugh.
It's about the difficulty and the artistic masterpiece that is the dance. Girls doing a triple full was rare, to tumble into one in 86, as your SECOND pass was completely unheard of. That's considered top level difficulty 30 years later.
@@shushunovafan4301 I literally feel like I'm in some kind of Twilight Zone where people LEGITIMATELY prioritize form on a tumbling pass over incredible artistry. ESPECIALLY in 1986. The new COP and E scores have ruined WAG.
Her dance is just out of this world. Amazing.
I love how she lands her tumbling passes, such confidence and power in their pronunciation
a great routine, she could have won a lot of world championschips with this exercise. her dance is so elegant and smooth! i want to see this over and over again!
When you manage to make Monica speechless, you know you've succeeded!
I think one of the best floor routines ever performed.
The piece is called "Sinfonia Per Un Addio" by Rondo Veneziano. It's beautiful.

Thank you. I came here to actually search for this song. Even Shazam couldn't find it.

definitely one of my all time favorites
This routine and the music, interpretation and tumbling will be forever my favorite floor exercise.
@Paiges38
It is a triple twist! the combination zamolodchikova in 2000 did.
Прекрасное выступление под прекрасную музыку! 😍👏
God Bless Soviet Gymnast!!!
I think I'll have this put on me tombstone. Thanks, mate! 💗
Beautiful!
@adventuregirl76 I'd say Frolova was best and hit her peak in 1986. That whole year she was dead on and perfect. Then things went south....
Es la mejor rutina que he visto en mi vida. Que placer. Cada tanto la vuelvo a ver. Es tan perfecta.
Just perfect.
Does she do a 1 1/2 through to a double twist or a triple twist I can't tell
I'd love to see Riley McKusker do a routine to this music!
The choreography makes me imagine an actress who knows she is at her prime but can see the end of her career approaching. It's so mature and operatic. It's wild she's so young here
Потрясающе!!!
"Fabulous rotine!"

Well they didn't exactly win with Omelianchik in 1987, did they? 😬 Just saying..
La mejor rutina
Linda.
❤👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏

OH MY GODDDDD CARALHOOOO
Как будто Леночка Мухина!
@Darkangel127 Then they aren't TRUE fans or know about the sport enough if they don't know who those girls are:)

Beautiful. .. why the audience spoil it with that dreadful clapping during her routine?

Забыто имя ее
Но у неё всё хорошо). Она проводит сейчас занятия "В гамаках" и обучает тренеров. Работает в теме "Психосоматика лишнего веса").
I think her form on the tumbling is terrible. I saw this listed as a great floor routine and compared to other gymnasts at the time this was just meh
