season 1 and 2 lowkey had drama but since then it's been really friendly

Canada version has low key dramas here and there but just sprinkles, generally contestants may be competitive but they are level headed, charming and wholesome

Is it just me... or do none of the contestant’s voices fit their “look.”
I felt the same way about Jeremy and shaun. Shaun's voice sort of reminds me of the guy who plays Mark Zuckerberg in that Facebook movie.
Both Matthew and Jeremy are Filipino, I got a lot of classmates back in high school like 'em that have their voices don't match with the faces lol. It's pretty common with even the skinny guys and also tough looking guys.

Everyone is so polite and down to earth. Even the judges r so kind. Everyone gets a compliment and the way they reject people also does not deject them or ruin their dignity wit foul words. I love this show

I dont think its fair that each judge judges the food individually because they could have their own preference of taste texture etc, so they should all judge each dish and come to a conclusion
I feel like they might do that, but often when they have similar opinions they might cut it out so it won't be as repetitive

The partcipants in d amercan version of masterchef are so competitive.
Then again, (not to be rude) the American and Australian Masterchefs seem a lot more competitive/demanding/difficult than the Canadian and other variants.
Might just be my take on it though.

Matthew had the taste, but Shawn has a better presentation. Based on presentation I'd wanna try Shawns but I'm not sure if I'd be a fan of the messy cake underneath. Matthew on the other hand looked too sloppy for me to want to try but when the judge cut into it I wanted a bite. Jeremy's was just perfect.

This is an insane challenge, a charlotte is a huge pain to make. It takes a lot of effort and attention to detail, but most of all it takes a lot of time. Its a beautiful, rich, well balanced mix of textures and flavors when done correctly, a perfect choice to celebrate a special occasion. Pulling it off in so little time is mind boggling.
