I guess Unreal is experiencing a big intake of complete amateurs. Why would they try to explain the obvious for people otherwise? How to investigate a feature? Really? Are new devs this train-wreck? This is a long talk about essentially nothing.
Please enable logging in shipping builds without requiring building from source! Or is it possible already? I am crazy with this. Since UE4 almost all projects I try making in UE crash in shipping, but not in development build. That's sad. I spent one week coding and several months trying to figure out why the game crashes in shipping. Not in development. In 10 years using Unity I never saw it crashing using Mono! Never, ZERO crashes caused by my code in a published game. Only the editor crashes in specific circumstances like vulkan on Linux, some few versions and so on. I would love switching to Unreal to enjoy its amazing graphics for desktop. But unknown crashes with simple projects are delaying that for years 💔

1st mistake is using Unity in the first place
after now a few weeks of getting used to unreal my biggest enemy is importing from blender into unreal.... specifically animations.....

Try making anything moderately complex in Unity and you'll come to appreciate just how much better Unreal is
@@drinkwwwaterrr if you want complex then switch to a custom engine not unreal. unreal is for artists.
@@drinkwwwaterrr GameObjects dont scale but ECS kinda solves that if u have some good devs.
lol gotta love the hate watchers. Still waiting for a good looking Unity game that isn't known for its performance issues.
