@@Carter-nl2there’s another wooden coaster called predator at Darien lake and it’s amazing in the front and one of the smoothest coasters in the park! I’ve never ridden this predator before
They’ve been retracking the worst parts. Those 2 retracked hills were the roughest parts from last year. I don’t think an RMC conversion is necessary, it’s already getting the proper treatment over time.
Rmc would be better idk why they went with titan track. And even though they went with gci why didn’t they do all of it

if you want to be on a seat that isn't that bumpy i would probably recommend the front row, It would still be bumpy but not as much as the back row. or middle row is fine.
The best set is the bench outside of the exit

I just rode this yesterday and it was not bad at all. The mind eraser is way worse granted I rode that last year.
Maybe the new track needed some break in time.

Attendance is declining we went on opening weekend and there was no joke 50 people at opening. I didn’t have to wait longer 5 minutes for anything latter in the day

You rode the backseat of predator... no wonder it is painful, you need to ride no further back than 3rd car front row.
If you have to ride in a specific row for it to not be painful then it is a bad ride
@@Carter-nl2 I don't disagree, but if you know predator like I do, I was able to ride it opening day after waiting in line for 60 minutes plus... then visit darien lake over the years, no owner of the park ever really maintained Predator. Even PTC hated refurbishing the trains because they knew the abuse they would take... DL is on it's 4th set of trains and they take all used ones from parks that close.
However, within 5 years Predator became so rough it would give me migraines riding anywhere in the back of the train, and considering its 76ft height it does offer a good ride when you're not being toss around like a tshirt in a clothes dryer/

@@Carter-nl2 absolutely. I worked at Knoebels in the 90's my last year was 1999 when Twister opened. It was so smooth... but last year I went for Halloween fest and while they rebuilt the entire double helix the train jackhammered through it so bad I kinked my neck... Thankfully my 8yr old loves Black Diamond so I could keep riding a coaster albeit a very tame one.
Twister has become so rough, yet Phoenix is smooth, it shows that knoebels puts more effort into phoenix than they do Twister.
Twister really needs a 100% retrack, not this piece meal stuff they are doing.
The one thing I won't have to worry about is Knoebels ever installing Titan Track, and while it greatly improved Predator where it was used, it kind of ruins the exp IMHO.
My other favorite coaster is Boulder Dash, another one I conquered opening year, and it became my favorite wood coaster for many years. The titan track really was needed after the drop as that was a very high stress area... but if you notice once it clear the titan track the remaining wood layout is fairly smooth.
But I think the most improved ride of 2024 is Wildcat the GG retracking is amazing.
