Yeah, Morgan was acquired by Chance. Chance Rides is basically the current incarnation of Morgan. You can see how Morgan's style is evident in Lightning Run.
Morgan sold to chance. Early 2000s were a tough in the industry so all of the great designs by the chance-morgan team went unbuilt. Lost some amazing engineers from the industry
It's a shame this was the last morgan hyper. The layout is different enough from the rest and deserves more ackowledgement in the hyper coaster zone. I wish King's Island had gotten Morgan to do an awesome job on Vortex like many years ago (let's say 2010, Morgan never said they wouldn't do it again, nobody asks, it's still listed as an option on the main site). Why not Anaconda at King's Dominion? Scratch all that, these places can't do anything right lol.
You should check out The Beast at Kings Island. Pretty much the whole thing goes through the woods and its also the longest wooden roller coaster in the world
Don't see this ride often enough. Kind of a cool optical illusion at the top of the lift hill when the first airtime hill lines up with that S&S free spin too
Ok I guess I’ve never bothered to see a pov of this coaster. That sprint through the woods before the lift hill looked way to fun. And then you have the entire rest of the coaster which looks amazing.
In all your conversations with Alan Shilke, did he ever mention contributing on this design? I know he worked with Morgan on a few rides like Lightning run, just wondering if he inspired that pre-lift hill section or if that's where he drew inspiration from. 🤔 or neither???
Alan did not contribute. Neither did steve. This was the one and only ride designed by brian Eiseman and javier Natividad. The industry hit a rough patch and both left and are successful in other endeavors.
I remember when I first heard the name of this ride I learned it meant The Ultimate Escape. That sounded awesome. Then I realized that Superman Ultimate was a name used in many Six Flags rides.
I'm headed to Mexico in 2 weeks damn this is 1000 miles from where I'm staying in Riviera Maya but I'm so tempted to get a flight and stay over night then fly back just to go! Don't know when I'd make it back. 5 coasters for about £250 🤔
This was a whole new design team. Very smart group but ended up moving on due to the industry slowdown. They were working on some amazing stuff that never hit the market.
That first drop is crazy to me, I remember riding it as a kid and thinking it was nothing, now as an adult is insane, also I didn’t had an anxiety disorder, so probably that also makes it scarier 😂😅 Also I went to magic mountain last year and Goliath seemed waaaay taller than it and it isn’t as much 😱
I’ll be very curious to see if he praises this the way Ryan and so many others do. For me, personally, it ran like an undulating monorail, making it - again, just for me - the most overrated coaster in the world by far right now.
Safe 99,9% in a park all is tested before customers get in so accidents are really rare if you mind about it, on a fun fare it is really different... And that's why I don't do high attractions at it
No, Goliath by 11 meters of difference is highier than Superman El último escape… Superman has a height of 67 meters and Goliath has a height of 78 meters
Can I make a suggestion? Can you film your POV's at a higher frame rate... the video looks kind of choppy at 24 fps... Just suggesting... Thank you for the good content.
This coaster is in such a cool location, as it soars through the trees at the end and shows awesome views of Mexico City!
The airtime hills look like they have wayy better profiling then other Morgan hypers
Agreed! Steel Eel’s hills hurt!
That thing looked absolutely gorgeous
Sad that this was Morgan’s last coaster, but at least they went out with a Bang. Can’t wait to ride this
Wait morgen went bankrupt when?!
Yeah, Morgan was acquired by Chance. Chance Rides is basically the current incarnation of Morgan. You can see how Morgan's style is evident in Lightning Run.
Ahhh
a Bang
Morgan sold to chance. Early 2000s were a tough in the industry so all of the great designs by the chance-morgan team went unbuilt. Lost some amazing engineers from the industry
I have been on this ride when I was in Mexico. My legs were shivering post the ride. It is damn crazy and wild 😂😂😂
It’s a really cool layout actually!!
It's a shame this was the last morgan hyper. The layout is different enough from the rest and deserves more ackowledgement in the hyper coaster zone. I like how it has such a unique layout so the experience isn’t like any other coaster
It is 3 mins but it feels like an eternity. All the drops are WILD and SUPER HORRIBLE, i cried afterwards
The setting of this coaster is unlike any I’ve really seen for a major theme park. I don’t really know many coasters set so close to the woods.
You should check out The Beast at Kings Island. Pretty much the whole thing goes through the woods and its also the longest wooden roller coaster in the world
Don't see this ride often enough.

It looks pretty thrilling, but could use a paint job. Superman would never fly around with such drab colors. :)
True dat!
It was painted 4 years ago :(
This looks like a fun ride. It may be Morgan's last coaster, but they sure went out with a bang!
I rode it yesterday totally worth it, one of the best ride I rode in my life
In all your conversations with Alan Shilke, did he ever mention contributing on this design? I know he worked with Morgan on a few rides like Lightning run, just wondering if he inspired that pre-lift hill section or if that's where he drew inspiration from. 🤔 or neither???
I did not ask him about this ride so I actually do not know if he was involved in this!
Alan did not contribute. Neither did steve. This was the one and only ride designed by brian Eiseman and javier Natividad. The industry hit a rough patch and both left and are successful in other endeavors.
Damn. Like goldrush and magnum had a baby. Looks really gorgeous
I recommend ride this one at night it looks so different and better
Nice to see a Morgan that doesn't lose 90% of its momentum on the MCBR. Wish the same could be said about Mamba :/
Looks pretty fun actually. I find it's pretty dang hard to get a judge of rides from POVs, but still
Rode it yesterday, totally worth it
The king of the Morgan Hypers 👑
Debatable, Phantom's Revenge is pretty amazing
This ride is amazing
This actually looks like a pretty good coaster! Hope they can give it a repaint like the Superman at over Georgia though
Ye it gives me rct3 standard paint job vibes
We love a good pre-lift section
I remember I was terrified when I first rode this when I was little
1:55 the best part OF the Roller coaster.
I've never seen that much track before the lift hill before.
i’d argue adventure express at ki has twice as much.
It was a design requirement due to the need for the station and lift location. Mark Glynn had the idea which saved the ride.
@@thhite1 Cool
Eltororyan completely gushes over this ride and I can totally see why
Wow this ride looks epic
I remember when I first heard the name of this ride I learned it meant The Ultimate Escape. That sounded awesome. Then I realized that Superman Ultimate was a name used in many Six Flags rides.
it’s called the last escape, ultimo means last.
@@ratryox5667 I’m pretty sure it can mean both, and I was originally going to point out that Last Escape is not as cool as the name Ultimate Escape.
ultimus is latin for last
@@ThemeParkAvenue its last
“Último” means “Last” so It’s actually called “SuperMan:The Last Escape”
How is the pre-lift section on this somehow better than the second half of Mamba?
The view is crazy!!
Some of that layout reminded me of Skyrush. Looks like Morgan were starting to really put together some great hypers. A shame this was their last.
Wow this coaster looks really awesome! Especially that double up into the mid course!
I've never even heard of Morgan before seeing this video. But this coaster looks quite impressive. It reminds me a bit of Magnum at Cedar Point.
they actually have almost the same height and speed
I'm headed to Mexico in 2 weeks damn this is 1000 miles from where I'm staying in Riviera Maya but I'm so tempted to get a flight and stay over night then fly back just to go! Don't know when I'd make it back. 5 coasters for about £250 🤔
My very first coaster ride back in 2007!!
Daaamn this looks like it has great ejector airtime
this is the best morgan hyper, it was my 500th coaster too
This was a whole new design team. Very smart group but ended up moving on due to the industry slowdown. They were working on some amazing stuff that never hit the market.
Wow this looks great!
Nice!!!!! Thanks for the clip.
That first drop is crazy to me, I remember riding it as a kid and thinking it was nothing, now as an adult is insane, also I didn’t had an anxiety disorder, so probably that also makes it scarier 😂😅
Also I went to magic mountain last year and Goliath seemed waaaay taller than it and it isn’t as much 😱
So, is it as good as ElToroRyan says it is?
I’ll be very curious to see if he praises this the way Ryan and so many others do. For me, personally, it ran like an undulating monorail, making it - again, just for me - the most overrated coaster in the world by far right now.
Not as good as he says imo, but pretty damn near it
The helices seem violent. Reminds me of how Phantom's Revenge helix looks like
I rode this today…my fiance cried and screamed the entire time in so many Spanish words that I couldn’t even understand
Last night I was in that game and kicking 🙈
2 videos let's go!
Looks fun 🤩
Um, is there a booster wheel start? How does it start off going up-hill for the pre-lift section?
I’ll be there in June, is the fast pass needed?
SOMBODY SAVE MEEEEEEE !!!! 🎶🎶🎶🎶
The recent Skyrizi ad has this in it.
Wait whats going on w the track before the breaks lol is the coaster about to fall over
I heard that the best thing about this ride were the insane laterals
Are you gonna be doing a on ride reaction on this coaster Taylor
Yes!
It seems very similar to the Mamba at World's of Fun in Kansas City. Same manufacturer?
yup!
The double helix elements remind me of Steel Dragon 2000.
How do you get the park's permission to film these POVs? Is there any language barrier?
We contacted them about it in advance. Our main contact spoke English which helped, but we did encounter a lot of people who didn’t speak any English.
2:07 Was The Mid-course Off Or On During Ur Ride Cuz It Looks Like It's Has Some Good Speed Thru It And The Ending Bunny Hills
it's normally off, pretty sure
Was that English?
How safe is to ride this games?
Safe 99,9% in a park all is tested before customers get in so accidents are really rare if you mind about it, on a fun fare it is really different... And that's why I don't do high attractions at it
Segun mi mama no puedes respirar en esa primera bajada
is this highier than goliath at six flags mm?
Nope
No, Goliath by 11 meters of difference is highier than Superman El último escape… Superman has a height of 67 meters and Goliath has a height of 78 meters
Can I make a suggestion? Can you film your POV's at a higher frame rate... the video looks kind of choppy at 24 fps... Just suggesting... Thank you for the good content.
I ❤️Morgans
That lift hill is an entire minute long.
How is that better than new englandz superman?
El juego que se llama Superman
The hypersmooth setting really takes away from the POV
SMOOTH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Reminds me of steel force
Same manufacturer
damn, looks like its running way slower than normal, i wonder why
Dang that prelift airtime tho
