I love the attention to detail. Period I was wondering if you could list the colors as I am brand new to painting and struggle trying to get the colors right. Beautiful piece and have a good day from sunny Southern California
WTH? Jaw dropped - so glad I stumbled across your site. God richly blessed you with talent! Where's your Patreon page? Thanks from Subscriber in Florida USA
I can't understand what you mean by dark going into light and dark again. How do yo paint the ocean like you have painted it before the lesson started. Do you mean to paint a dark line, then a medium shade over it and then a lighter shade over that again to get what looks like an ocean? I am really trying hard to paint a seascape for the past two months with no success! Am I a lost cause or could you explain please how you did that fantastic ocean in the background at the start of lesson 1. Could you please help. Thanks so much for sharing your wonderful knowledge and talent.
Thank you very much for the beautiful. Video I was very amazed thanks Very interesting thanks for Sharing please, please stay connected 💖 ... 💗💖..💞.💕..💗 .. .
Your explanation of the dark hard edge of each wave was SO helpful! I would love to see a little image of the reference photo as you're painting. One of my struggles is translating what I see in the photo onto the canvas. Thanks for a great video! I'm off to watch the second half now.
Hi Wayne, a fantastic tutorial my friend. Your work is absolutely superb! I've been painting seascapes for over 40 years and it's great that we use very similar techniques. That said I picked up useful tips and ideas. Every day is a school day 👍😃I'm assuming that you use Winsor and Newton Alkyd oils? Are you familiar with Graeme Stevenson art tv series “Put some colour in your life‘? #colourinyourlife
Hi Michele, it's 9mm birch ply with 3 coats of gesso and an oil stain. I gesso both sides to prevent any warping, but it is a good quality ply and only 400mm long. If I go larger I brace the panel. And I just lightly sand between coats, I gesso with a roller but finish with a brush - because I dont like to paint in the roller texture. The synthetic brushes are just a das brand, they are nothing special. Cheers
Wow! you are a very very handsome teacher man...;-) Just because you are soooo handsome, I'm subscribing to your channel..........lol I have a question do you use Medioum or paint thinner with every brush stroke? Marty,

What kind of color do you paint with? Acrylic? Thanks.

What type/brand of paint are you using?

Always astonishing when I see someone dab and smear and smudge and suddenly a miracle happens I’m looking at a totally convincing image of our ocean.
Haha thank you 😊
Can u do more on transitional blending and modeling forms in the landscape
Sorry Pedro, are you asking can it be done? Or would I do more?
Lol... I think your painting looks more realistic than the reference photo... 😆 seriously
Can I get the same effects with acrylic paints
Hi Raj, possibly, my landscapes are difficult to emulate with acrylic but I think a seascape could be possible.
@@waynevickersart2141 Thank you for your feed back and amazing art work +the tutorial - exposed few more techniques to make the waves look realistic .
One more thing, are you using Acrylics or Oil paints?
What kind of board Please. And what brand of synthetic brushes. Thank you

Some are Gifted - Some are NOT ! ;)
