Very emotive painting Stewart, maybe how many of us might be feeling at this time, "lost at sea". Please take good care of your health Stewart, I was counting every second you heald your breath and I'm sure like me and many of your viewer's counting the days between your videos concerned about your wellbeing. Take good care of yourself Stewart, take your vitamins. Be Safe and Be Well my friend.
GOOD POINT!!! I live in the dessert of Arizona. I know people here like dessert scenes. I really need to do work which will sell. For the reason you stated, maybe something like this WONDERFUL PAINTING STUART HAS DONE (DOES!!! -allllll amazing!) Might sell here.
The sea is an unforgiving mistress. What a wonderful planet we live on. And your oil paintings always forgive. Thanks 🙏 😉. So I couldn’t resist having a go yesterday following the video along. Easy to follow but difficult to copy.
Good to see you back in the painting saddle Stuart. This is a most amazing seascape. Real movement I could almost feel the sea spray on my face. Wonderful and yes please do more seascapes. Or anything for that matter as we all love to watch and learn.
Love the seascape please please do more in the future, I personally love your landscapes but I love the seascapes more! Take care Stuart all the best Steve in the UK👍
😍 MASTERPIECE! I enjoy watching this video. So happy you posted it Mr. Stuart 😊 you are in my prayers 🙏 please take care and stay safe. Blessings Always
Love your videos and especially your work. I paint mostly portraits/figures with landscape backgrounds and your lessons have really improved my backgrounds for which I thank you. Please take care of yourself, you are a world treasure.
A Sea scape with a boat - a rare treat indeed! Thank You Stu, always such a pleasure to watch your videos and hear your voice. All the best mate - so glad to see you uploading again!
Stuart, I enjoy not only your lessons, but, the feeling of visiting with a friend. Your relaxed approach in creating such beautiful works is one I am striving to reach. I do experience a fear of a blank canvas , and little patience with myself during the ugly part of a painting. Your relaxed approach shows a much more enjoyable way to paint. Your soft spoken voice is a vacation from all the troubling things one has to deal with . So you’ve no worries about talking too much. Please take care of yourself.
I really enjoyed this.I found my mind wandering back to memories of being on my grandfather's boat and him teaching me to steer it, and the feeling of being on the sea.I learned a lot from watchjng your technique.I've never been a seascape painter but I think I'll give it a try after watching this.Thank you so much and I hope your health improves. You're a very good teacher.❤️
Votre genie c'est de peindre des formes qui nous forcent à fantasmer et imaginer des interprétations personnelles et ressentir des sentiments delicieux 👏
Oh Stuart, l’m absolutely LOVING this painting! ❤️ Might be my most favorite one so far! Lord you make it look so easy. Love your technique. Please take care of yourself with your health. (Your voice is still soothing and gentle). Healing prayers and blessings to you.
I paint the sea for so many years and never saw high detail painting that took my breath away. I can appreciate the quality of work there but it usually lack feeling. Impressionistic, abstract sea is where the real beauty is, at least for me. The way you like to make your skies, full of energy and drama, that's the way I like to do sea. This is promising start looking forward to see it finished .
Very great! Yes, a rolling or stormy sea is definitely a difficult subject to paint. How you do it and what you pay attention to is very good to know. Thanks a lot for this video!
Stuart, sense finding your channel I have been inspired too take the plunge into oil painting. Thank you for sharing your life’s experience as an artist..
Magnifique! Just love seascapes, you did so well ! Just love the colors and the boat done in a simple way! Hope you do more seascapes! Take good care of yourself ! Blessings to you and your family ! 🙏
Thank you Stuart! love this painting and the sound of the sea! I miss my homeland Malta and the blue seascapes there, hopefully I can recreate something like this, thank you for the wonderful tips you show here! Look after yourself and enjoy your painting without stress.
I had a go at painting it this morning. Quite pleased with it actually as it was my first go at a seascape and I only started painting last April during the lockdown. Wish I had done it years ago. Don’t stop painting your landscapes.
I’ve watched you do this one a few times. I always notice something new each time. I just love what you do and how you work. And love your commentary. This painting seems simple -but if you really look at the water and waves the subtlety of colors really makes the water appear real. Some areas are translucent, some areas opaque. And you’ve got just the right amount of whitecaps. I just love studying what you do. To painters like me, the artistry you put out is amazing. You don’t have to try to paint, it just comes out of you. Thanks so much and paint paint paint. Can’t get enuf. And pls take care of your health.
I think this is the first painting of yours I've seen with a man made object in it! Very nicely done, as usual. I may even have a go at it. Take care Stuart, good health. Remember to breathe! 😉
The 'thing's is a bowsprit. Holds the forstay...and that is a GREAT seascape. Ever since I started watching I wondered about how seascapes would turn out. I'm thinking of trying one with a bit of the wiping to get some light into waves. Thanks@
Ha ha ha...I love your technical terms Stuart. As always hearing your voice is a great comfort, and I greatly enjoy your wit. It's so nice to a seascape painted with your illusion of detail, just beautiful! Looking forward to 👀ing you paint more of them.❤️
Another wonderful painting Stuart ! Such a delight to watch you do your magic with so much ease and talent . I'm grateful you'r healthy , and able to teach your magnificent lesson .
Absolutely superb. Please do not worry too much about breathing - your brain will let you know it's time to breathe before your heart starts worrying! Best wishes for a long career.
Amazing art as usual....fills one with wonder at your immense talent to create such a natural painting.I love all your paintings and have learnt a lot from them.However...please do take care of your health and do some breathing in between.Always in my prayers...Mr. Stuart.Take care.
As long as your not suffering...but you do sound horse . Not an issue for watching you the painting is where I’m focused. Very happy to see you upload something.
Amazing! I've never seen this done so masterfully before, with nautical ships, waves and the like. A great amount of detail in the ship, even without a lot of detail, like the 'illusion of detail' painting, the mind adds so much from the simplicity of it. Very good see how easily you've drawn from your early on experience, which you've mentioned in the past, on commissions of sea-work you had done. Thank you so much for sharing this tine with us, it Truly made my week! Blessings to you and your family sir. - on a side note, it was good to hear you again, I will be looking into the patreon link so that I can see other gems like this in the future.
I'm amazed at the amount of motion that you put into the waves in the very first go-around of paint. I'm sure that skill comes from your years and years of experience, but it will be fun to try to follow your motions and see where it gets me. One of these days I'll be back in France for another go-around. One my top experiences -- so glad I got it in before the pandemic!
❤❤❤Please keep up with your rest Stuart. But oh my goodness. Thank you for this video. You are indeed a contemporary Master!!! Watching on my silly Android track phone the volume was a bit low. I'm not sure if you'll find the same on rewatching. Regardless I search daily to see if you've uploaded a new video. That CLOUD ??? HOW DID YOU DO THAT ?? I feel like I will have to watch six more times. I've only watched it three times thus far !! The ship and sea all combine lovely and complement one another without competing. Just marvelous !!! May God continue to grant you strength. I remember your other sea work from your earlier days and I couldn't wait to watch your magic in this video !! If you're up to it, please keep the paintings coming. They really are THERAPEUTIC as well as inspiring. THANK YOU STUART ❤❤❤
That was absolutely fantastic, thank you very much. Please keep taking good care of yourself. I can also see that this is very therapeutic for you in the beginning of the video your voice was very low as we approach the end you were back with your normal voice. We are so happy that you are back our exquisite teacher, that has thought us the we can do it. I’m never afraid again of painting anything.
Stuart. Very sorry to hear of your health issue! It struck a note with me as I'm about the same age as you and this past year my voice has been doing something very similar. Thats got me thinking.
Take good care of yourself Stuart. Your skill to teach and show others , how to paint, is a unique gift. Thank you for being you ❤
Many thanks!
You're my favorite show on television right now. Please keep painting :-)
