Y'all forgot about Soul Embraced! Def would have been my wildcard
Not sure if it's underrated, but the first Embodyment record and the song "Halo Of Winter" from the This Is Solid State comp are groundbreaking early deathcore. I also agree that SelfMinDead was amazing as was their later band Benea Reach!!!!
personally i find embodyments full solid state discography to be excellent with its gradual shift into just alternative rock by their non ssr release. the narrow scope of things is my favorite oit of all of them though
My is: AS THEY SLEEP Band it's pure death metal, sometimes melodic sometimes brutal... faster and heavy... increíble.
As They Sleep was pretty dang good. They're album cover for Dynasty was a masterpiece too. Story goes that they found an unhoused individual outside and asked him to pose for the picture. Brilliant!
Andrew from Comeback Kid was not in NIV- he was in Figure Four(another underated one) Jason Moody was the singer in NIV- also Jason Dunn who owns Facedown records along with my favorite artist- Dave Quiggle
