Absolutely. I think out of a lot of the other channels I follow, you would get just as much appreciation from this setup as I do. I have no doubt you'd love the way this truck drives, so hopefully we'll see it on your channel as well some day. 🙂
@@AussieRCPlayground maybe! I visited Kyosho HQ in May and got to do an unboxing of the truck and the guy told me I had to take it outside and look at it in the sunlight. What a beautiful truck, that pearl red is amazing. Sadly I couldn't take the truck home with me. 🥲
Love the enthusiasm you have for this truck, the video did convey the drivability of that truck, too often everyone wants to overpower the instead of enjoying how the vehicle was designed
I purchases mine a few months back and haven't even gotten to use it. Thanks extended lockdown and now this ridiculous weather. Im itching to get out there after watxhing this.. thanks Vas 👈👍
@William Perri there's definately a few of us out there.. I just think they are less vocal about it.. I'm a ground vehicle and boat girl through and through
Refreshing to see someone who gets what this truck is about. It can bash pretty well for what it is, you can do more with it than most Tamiyas, for example, but you need to be driving it in a controlled manner. See so many people in Facebook groups throwing them around skate parks on 3s, landing on the throttle etc then whining when the diffs blow etc. Your video proves you can have a lot of fun with it, get relatively big air for a little 1/10 truck as long as you're careful and that they are good to go out of the box. People seem to expect everything to have the durability of a brick these days and while it's great that we have such ultra durable stuff, I feel like it takes the emphasis off of working at vehicle control and driving skills etc so people are then unfairly critical of stuff that's less tolerant of abuse.
I bought a used (brushed version) and it's my new favorite. My first 4x4 monster truck. I have a 2wd brushless Stampede that is also fun but this stupid van is a riot!
Awesome RC from Kyosho. Loved it so much I bought both versions. Started with the brushed version and then bought the brushless. Also did a cheeky hobbywing 3652 4000kv brushless upgrade with the Max 10 ESC after I burnt the G14L motor. Only issue Ive had with it is the swing shaft that turn the wheels pop out the cups and get lost.
Great video. Yup, nice thing about Kyosho is they make really good ready to run tires. My Mad Force Kruiser VE came with some wonderful stock tires. It is nice to not have to spend a small fortune to upgrade from RTR tires. I love watching videos on this Van, it is a steal for the price, that is for sure. Enjoy it!!
There's a reason why I avoid walking into hobby shops... Case in point. Damn it would be impossible to say no to this. The hype seems to be very real with this little thing and watching you drive it around there's good reason for why nearly everyone loves this thing. Cheers for the review Vas... excellent! I'm glad I'm not the only one that talks to their RC's whilst ripping around lol.
Haha, thanks Steve. I know what you mean... When I saw it, I thought it was cool, but it wasn't until I drove it that I just had to have one. So yes, the hype is very real with this one. 😁
For a novice RC person just having fun would you recommend the brushless over the brushed version, and do you thing the Mad Wagon's higher price is justified over the Mad Van? Thanks.
Great job protecting that body. I wouldn't want to send it too😂. I got this truck a week ago still in box. Got a clear body to paint and bash around with😁
I knew you would like this Vas , tried Lisa's one around the backyard and it's a great little beast. Had to stop before I scratched it or I'd be a dead man. These chassis are great on brushless but the road cars need the alloy drive shaft. It becomes a skipping rope and will explode ha,ha, Kyosho have really done a great car with these Fazer chassis . Great video mate ,enjoyed it.
Also matey, comparing this to say the quantum flux MT what would you say was better and what would you go for? And last but not least on another note, your thoughts on the corally dementor please sir?
I have had multiple RC vehicles dating back to the late 80s. I have not had one in over 10 years with my last being the HPI Baja SS. I am looking hard at the Mad Van VE, or the Tanacity DB pro. In your opinion which of the to is funer, and mor durable to just play around with. I unfortunately can't afford what I really want which is the Tekno MT 410. Thanks in advance for your help and keep up the great videos.
@@AussieRCPlayground going by your enthusiasm and the joy you portrayed in the video, I reckon I should hey 😉. Just don't wanna mess up that pretty paint job. 😜
Sir im sorry, do u also recordnized the grease in the diffs is sticking on the wall inside the diffbox? I saw just two videos with this problem, the grease does not even touch the gears^^^thats why it sounds so metall like i belive
Good day my friend looks awsome only thing I have seen few people have trouble with the out drives but looks like pretty cheep upgrade to metal ones from kyosho have great day love videos as always
Hello friend😊 Good evening! how are you? Does anyone know if the kyosho mad van has grease in the stock differentials? I have never reviewed it for reasons of time. Has anyone already checked it? It's good to know before running it Blessings from mexico
Did you run the cheetah on 2S or the nitro circus on 2S? Maybe it's the 2S and not being overpowered that is helping out those tires alot. I don't have that truck so I'm just guessing.
The Cheetah I had was used on 2S and 3S, and the tyres were horrible regardless. The Nitro Circus was a 1/8 scale truck and used 2 x 2S batteries. It was already slow as it was, so if I had used only a 2S battery, it would turn it into a crawler. LoL
With a body like that, I would have to buy a basher body. Looks great even on 2S, what a bargain at $280. I feel on 3S this truck would destroy itself. I think this truck is best suited for backyard bashing, not so crazy speed but still plenty fast for a backyard.
Kyosho can be hit and miss sometimes but they really do knock it out of the park with some exceptional vehicles. I used to be a big Kyosho fan many years ago, in my early days of the hobby. In recent times I got caught up in the Arrma/Team Corally whirlwind however have ventured back to my roots and headed back towards Kyosho. I just picked up a nitro Inferno Neo 3.0 and what a great car it is, and so cheap for what you get. Love the variety in this hobby. Maybe I'm wrong but I think nitro is making a slow comeback too.
Are you sure RUclips is the right place for this video with all that moaning and groaning? I'd love to get my hands on one of these they do look amazing. I've got a kyosho outlaw rampage pro and the shocks on that are absolutely fantastic. Kyosho seem to make rc's that handle amazing.
Just ordered this for Christmas was a little worried about some of the reviews about weak gears but this video cheered me up 😊
Hope you enjoy it! Merry Christmas. 😎

Suspension looks buttery smooth. I'm shocked at how good those tires grip. Nice drive, thanks for sharing!

Well, time to get that letter sent off to Santa ASAP. 😉😁
Kyosho should have you as a Spokesman for them!! Your Enthusiasm for this Truck is Priceless!!! I Have to Buy one now, because of this Video! 🏆🤗

I knew you would enjoy this. When I drove this it was a welcoming surprise. Kyosho has a bonified winner on their hands. Great run Vas💪

They really did smash it with that body! Can hear the genuine enjoyment that you are getting out of it

100% agree. Well said. 👍
Awesome to hear you enjoying this truck so much. Looks like a lot of fun!
Just needs a spare body so you can relax even more 😍👊🏻👍🏻
Haha, agreed. 😁
Agree, it's a fun little truck on 2's.
You've sold me. Gotta get one. Cheers.
Awesome, Vas! Just awesome!

I LOVE my mad van. Such an easy little rig to grab and go. I’m about to order another. Just because!
This is the RC car that every kid dreams about..... And every adult, cuz it makes you feel like a kid when you're driving it 👍
That truck looks like old school rc fun.. might have to look into one of these.. That and I’m all about that van life lol
Kyosho should send you a cheque for this one 💸
Haha, that would be cool, but that wasn't the aim of the video. 😁
I love overpowered 1/10 monster trucks.I love my custom build stampede i run it all the time. This van looks like a bucket of fun as well.
Wow! I’m in love 😍

Personally I think this drives as well as my favourite RTR the Tenacity DB Pro. Love this thing!
Watching this makes me want to get one😎😎😎😎😎
It looks very well balanced
The only negative is the drive cups, its plastic and the shaft pop up, they need the upgrade as soon
Also matey, comparing this to say the quantum flux MT what would you say was better and what would you go for? And last but not least on another note, your thoughts on the corally dementor please sir?
now.. in usa.. i still want an fpv super persuit body.. but now want 1 ⅕scale for my rovan lt 4wd.. 45cc.. with duallies added
gyros.. i saw it in action lol
& i am sure.. the grip is tc kickin in.. part of stability system i bet

Is this the same platform as the new electric USA1? Maybe that has the same tires and such as your van?
No, this is a much smaller and completely different platform to the USA-1. 🙂
Pick this up last month not open yet.
love the madvan,on my list definitely 😀👌👍👍😎
Fine! ill get it... Vas, again selling me on vehicles!
Looks awesome, where is the location of that track please?

No problems with pinion gear? I keep stripping, can even get through a pack
@@paulclancy2404 for the moment no breakage, I have oiled the dif at 10 packs, and on my driving I do not extreme bash
I just picked up a felony and its my 10th car but its the 1st I'm meh with, and I so wanted this, when they released
its kyosho same platform forever ,, i run my optima;s from the 80's still
