    If you look at the way that that The chassis is designed the top brace is actually more like the chassis than the aluminum bottom plate. It ties all the way through the plate into the front and rear bulkheads in the bottom. Very cool design

    I’ve got a good feeling about this truck . It looks tough and even the plastic shocks don’t distract from the fact it looks well thought out . Ok won’t be everybody’s cup of tea , it reminds me a little bit of a monster truck . Proof of the pudding will be when you run it . Great unboxing Vas , thanks 👍

    Glad you're getting to be the one to Showcase this truck early Vas as I know you will be honest with us with your thoughts. Biggest problem I find with your channel is you're too slick a driver so it's tough to get a durability guage and I mean that as a compliment of course!

    For me the general quality and construction of an RTR's shocks can be a reliable indicator of what to expect throughout the rest of the truck. But Kyosho has shown here that that theory isn't always accurate

    I have the gray version of that same model and the first place my eyes went to was the shock absorbers. For the price here in Europe, it is rare to see a suspension entirely made of plastic and without a thread to be adjusted! The grip of the tires on loose ground is quite good but where it stands out is on asphalt. The '70s station wagon-style body isn't entirely sold on me, but it's not a disaster either, and the quality of the lexan is a bit poor.
    I like: The weight distribution, the new chassis and the controllable power delivery, its magnificent KT-231P transmitter.
    I don't like: The servo is quite slow, a lot of plastic in many areas although of good quality and the shock absorbers: The latter is especially embarrassing in a model of this price.

  • @zoridor16
    @zoridor16 10 месяцев назад

    Does anyone know why Kyosho felt the need to redesign its Kb 10 (Mad Wagon) chassis with the Kb10L (new Toyota Tacoma) version? For what is this? The first chassis turned out or had problems with some customers (I heard that the Mad Wagon has a very slow speed at 2s (25 mph) despite being Brushless) (that the ESC has to be reprogrammed) Does anyone know anything about it? Greetings😮😊😊

    • @AussieRCPlayground
      @AussieRCPlayground  10 месяцев назад +1

      The chassis was stretched so it would be true to scale for that Tacoma truck. If they didn't do that, it would look silly being so short.
      Yes, you're correct, the Mad Wagon was slow, very slow, for a brushless setup and as it turns out, the ESC was heavily detuned (for some reason). But Kyosho have now addressed this with the release of the Tacoma and the truck is a lot faster.
      I have a Tacoma here ready to be unboxed and I'll be putting all that to the test very soon. 😉

      To be fair, the Mad Van was not advertised as a 3S truck, it was only meant to be run on 2S. If things went wrong on 3S, well, I don't think it's fair to blame Kyosho for that.

    Steering links are toothpicks, no way they’ll survive long. Questioning the chassis as well, the brace prevents flex but won’t do anything for direct hits. We’ll see, but I doubt it’s going to hold up to hard bashing.

      Kyosho make good quality drift cars, but they're overpriced and use old tech.
      Kyosho is showing us with this larger vehicle that they don't properly understand how RC components should scale up.
      First big issue: Deans T connector on a 1/10th scale is absurd. Deans max out at 35 amps.
      Toy shock absorbers, thin support pieces.
      Kyosho makes quality miniature drift cars that cost too much and use antiquated tech (AAA batteries, etc) and they're now making larger vehicles with no understanding of how larger vehicles need to scale with regards to electronics and weight support\durability.
      I honestly expected more from this brand. They're the only RC company (afaik) made in Japan, so they should have better engineering quality than this.
