Watching that Dragonlink player set up for 10 IRL minutes knowing I had Albaz in and - then finally contact fusing was soooooo SATISFYING. Doing away with a full Dragonlink board in one-shot was one of the best Masterduel moments I had :D
Yeah you're right I should really incorporate Branded Banishment into my pure fusion build, the card is just too strong and versatile to ignore! Also, I rarely normal summon Albaz, only occasionally just to break boards or bait interruption. Vs. Dragonlink, I tend to set Albaz for the surprise factor since you can still contact fuse every dragon away when he is facedown! For example like what I did at 6:53 Thanks for watching!
@@skyzip4k171 not in this current meta in Masterduel, the common decks like Mathmech, Kashtira and Vanquish Soul don't really leave anything vulnerable to Superpoly on board. Also, the Extra Deck is too tight to include additional Super Poly targets into it.
@@FaithYGO yet you run alba lenatus, which comes up even less. dont forget that as long as they have a light/dark monster, you can also super poly with your own cards. for example when normal summoning albaz, if they chain removal or negate to it, you could technically chain super poly again. unlikely scenario, but usually you do get aome useful targets on board. arise heart is a dark monster, and some cards in the kashtira archetype do actually match attributes. the vs argument i get, but ive optimized my ed quite a bit. although only having one lubellion is quite risky, i was always kinda able to win with it, if it got banished. altho kash players will actually go for mj sooner. also also garura can be a nice dump off of ggg if you really need it

My philosophy with Superpoly is that if I'm using my own monster to fuse away another while discarding another card in my hand with Superpoly, it's not worth it. Too much payment for not enough reward! That'll leave me with 3 cards in hand to deal with the rest of my opponent's board and handtraps, which is often not enough in Masterduel's meta! That's just my personal reasoning around Superpoly :)
@@andreperry7995 happened to me twice, played second againts those damned beings with no handtraps and got insta puppet locked, but got away with it on 1 match by countering with bystial

i wouldve made some different plays like setting Banishment to summon back MJ and such. Also normal summon albaz much?
