I love that despite never finding romantic love that she naturally finds true love in the form of protecting and caring for children. She wants so badly to give the children of the world of ruin the childhood she never had. All of the ff6 heroes are driven by something important to them, for Terra its the innocent children. She hurts for them and desperately wants to protect them.
@@LecroixMystique00 Actually I feel og FF7 is very similar to FF6 in a lot of themes, including this one, difference being FF7 puts much more focus on the struggle of keep moving forward (especially after that moment everybody's grandmas know) rather than the search of said purpose, which is where FF6 puts focus on Both games have a somber feeling that culminates in an apocalyptic final part that reinforces the games' themes even more
@spicysauce6533 I love though that they explore different ways and feelings for love instead of the classic old romantic one, she finds one that actually makes sense for her character
He pops up a couple of times over the course of the story, often alongside Banon after the Battle of Narshe. Unfortunately, both of them disappear after The Catastrophe, and considering they were in Vector at the time, and Vector was the center Kefka build this Tower around, it's the strong implication that they were unfortunately killed during the disaster...
Disagree. Terra's theme fits her character perfectly. Her name derives from the Earth, Terra as in terrestrial. Initially treated, like the Earth herself, as a resource to be exploited for greed and pride. Note the hair color. Her theme, especially in the base line, constantly drives forward as she seeks purpose and finds it in the care of others.
@@ericlefevre7741 She's not named Terra in the Japanese version and and their intent is what matters. This is the real version of her theme. Unless you responded to some other comment that was deleted.
@@ericlefevre7741 Overworld map uses her theme's leitmotif but this is what the game specifically considers the character theme (the slow one), and the march IS the theme of Terra's story and I like it more. But people mislabel it as "Terra's theme" track, while it's "Overworld".
Both songs are very strong in their own way. But this song just works better for Terra, and her character. Her entire story is about learning who she is, and what she's supposed to do in this world she found herself in, after having lost her memories. She's confused, scared, and sad in a way. This song perfectly captures that feeling, and I think is a very strong theme for Terra because of it
Yo igual.
I appreciate the fact that gameplay clips were included to provide a better understanding of the context of situations related to the OST
Thanks a lot for the compliment. I will gradually add more videos like this in the next project FF4
I love that bassline

Idk if other rpgs had done this but the premise of finding hope and purpose even after everything is lost is so beautiful
@@ydk1k253 The 2nd half of Dragon Quest XI has a similar message to that, one which is also beautifully written :)
@@ydk1k253 rarely ...FFVI is unique even among the other FFs

MVP, this nameless old man that we never see again helping Terra to recover
He does have a name though (Arvis)

I had a fever dream this morning and this was playing in my head for 1-2 hours straight while I was half-asleep, sick, warm in my bed, peaceful
This version is simply the best
gorgeous arrangement of a wonderful song
This song is the true Terra's theme, not the map's one
das rite

"I'm the product of a human and an esper. Will I ever be able to find love?"

"... Mommy?"
The moment you realize Terra always had what she was looking for inside her heart, when she risked her life to protect her beloved kids.

So fucking beautiful my god
This song is basically ff6s parallel theme to ff7s 😊anxious heart
De verdad adoro esté tema 😍

This version is so amazing and I appreciate how it didn’t take away from the original but added the “swag” of other instruments to it!!!
Well done
