    - 2 adjustable wrenches, one should go till 27mm (you need 12mm, 17mm and 27mm)

      na bro it aint the "air can" that gets me, its the BUS HING lmao sorry its pronounced Booshing depite being called bushing, the u is oo in that word. air can was pronounced perfectly fine. its BUUUUUUS SHINNNNGG. i cant stop laughing

    Thanks for the video, it was helpful you showed us the various bags from the kit with the labels because it helps knowing which o-ring to use. They should really package everything in individual bags with part list numbers

    Thanks for the video. I really appreciate it! keep it up! If I may suggest, please avoid the "zoom in zoom out" transition in you tutorial. It's kinda make some viewers dizzy because of it.

    Removing the metal retension clip at 7:20 is tricky. Plus the manual says to not scratch inside the cylinder with your picks. Good luck with that. What helped me finally (after scratching the cylinder) is to push the the two ends (the clip isn't a full ring) all the way down as far as you can. Both ends of the clip. And then the opposite side will pop out of its groove. This also requires that you pushed the valve cover far enough down with your thumb. (The step before removing the clip in the manual)

      I wish I had read this earlier. I scratched the hell out of mine by using 2 flat heads. One tip of each flat head at the end of the open C doing Cris-cross with the 2 flat heads and pryed the tips off 1 by 1

      It says to use a schrader valve valve removal tool to remove the retention clip in the pdf download! I'd like to see that😂

      not really unfortunately, did you recheck the procedure several times? looks to me that same air is doing resistance but looks strange

      @@OresteCiotoli RS Monarch XX 165 x 38, 00.4118.126.000 - I already removed the air chamber, found a broken seal and did what you did on the damper body - removed the valve - but it was just some air coming out, no oil - I suspect an leakage - maybe through the remote?! I now need to find out if I can do the further dis-/assemble on my own without spending to much on special tools ;-)

      @@DW7887 from what I can see on the manual, the procedure is quite similar but you have a valve also on the bottom of the shock. Did you opened the dumper body and you found no oil inside???

      @@OresteCiotoli I had to check the english terms. I´ve opened the bleeding screw - no oil spill. I am not sure if I can but it back together without the special vise block used in the manual for the IFP. I think I will at least dissemble it further - I can´t make it worse by now for the service specialists when I send it away.
      By the way - the shock stopped working in perfect snowboard weather: - 15°, 25 cm snow ;-) Greetings from Germany ;-)

      @@DW7887 Verstehe😎. Definitely very difficult conditions from your shock😁, i do not think you need this thing for the vice, i just used a microfiber towel inside the vise but i never had to clamp the piston...this i will definitely avoid. Ich bin Italiener aber ich wohne seit 3 Jahren in Wien 😎 Liebe Grüße 🙂

    Hey! I’ve followed the video from the beginning to rebuilt my shock but it looses more air than before the rebuilt. Approximately 30 minutes of air before it goes out. Any idea where I messed up?

    Thank you for the great video - everything worked fine for me until I started the bleed process. When pushing the damper body downwards oil leaks from the compression switch. Any idea how to fix it?

      I will probably check that all the orings were replaced correctly, seems a very strange point to expect oil leaks Lucas!

    Do you know which seal would cause all the oil to come out of the air valve?

      I think any seal related to the chamber...but that's only my guess!

    Cheers for the video it's great, unfortunately my shock exploded after the service all the oil drained into the air can any ideas on where I may have gone wrong? I have followed the video and the shock felt great for about an hour I also found alot of scarring on the inside of the piston. Thanks

      Ehi Jack, honestly it's difficult to help you without pictures or so, what exploded exactly? if something like that happened probably something was not in the right place or locked properly, i would say

    Hi! Thank you for this video, very helpful! My shock seems to be leaking oil around the adjustments (rebound and compression knobs). Is it possible to have put too much oil in the air chamber? I see some oil on the shaft as well, but i suppose that is normal. Or is it time for a full rebuild? Thank you, really appreciate your work!

      You are welcome Alexandru 🤝🏻 Should not be normal to see oil on the adjustment knobs, could be that is too much on the air chamber! On the shaft should be normal but only if it is not too much! I will honestly check only the air chamber in your case 👌🏻

      @@andiwb906 could be that some internal oring is actually broken, and not the rebound. You need a full rebuild i think 👍🏻

    Is there a replacement or decanted smaller quantities for the 15w50 oil as I don’t want to buy a 1L bottle when I only need a few ml

      Ehi Antoine, in this case refer to the RockShox spare parts catalog, you can download it from the SRAM website. Page 160, be very careful and check more than 1 time 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻

      @@OresteCiotoli btw why did you replace the bushings when it was still had the red layer on, and also when installing the bolt in it do you put grease on it or not? and when putting it on the bike do you put grease anywhere there either? the bearing on my bike are pressfit so i dont think i can remove them. they are clean and smooth though so i dont think i have to touch them.

      mainly for a video purpose, i wanted to do the service how described in the manual! No on the bolt nothing, only some mucoff silicon shine on the 2 long threads that lock the shock to the frame ✌
