This was phenomenal. Jake, great work staying calm and collected. Crystal it happens to everyone. The Emotion is real and we all feel it. The experience is what makes us learn and strive to grow and become the best hunter we can. Great job sticking to it. Fantastic video.
THIS! Props to Jake. That’s a helluva guy to do what you did. Congrats to crystal on a real nice bird.
I'm glad Crystal found her bird. I've been in the same position and it sucks to loose a bird. She should be proud she stuck with it and was able to recover him. Great job!
Good job Crystal! That was an awesome hunt to watch. I absolutely love these videos with the ladies included. They give a wonderful and fresh perspective to hunting. And the raw emotion is awesome. Hunting brings with it a whole host of feelings and we take the responsibility for the outcomes. Too many people take for granted the meat they get from the store and don’t realize the life it once lived and that someone must dispatch the animal, besides the care in processing it. This channel is the best!
What Justin said...👍👍
Cool hunts!! You could hear the emotion in Crystals voice, poor girl. It is a bad feeling when you make a bad shot and wound an animal. Great job finding and getting the bird!!!!
True Huntswoman Crystal. It happens to all of us but few follow up on it. Great example for all. Stay positive and stay on the trail. Great video…..again THP!
Great job on that recovery! Sadly, most hunters would've given up on finding him after a little while. The fact she got emotional shows what hunting is really about.
Awesome video. Its so important for content creators to show both the ups and downs of hunting, as it happens to us all.
I love seeing new hunters in the vids! They offer a great perspective to the hunts!
Aww, the baby. Love seeing fawns. Nice job Crystal! Maine was good to the team.
Awesome job lady! Great video you all. Jake is right most folks wouldn't have put that much effort into recovery with turkeys. Good stuff
Congratulations Crystal and Keith! Maine looks like a beautiful place to visit and I’m adding it to my list of eventual destination turkey hunts. Cheers to THP!!
Bless her heart! You go girl, congrats on the hard work. Thanks for taking us along.
Congratulations Keith and Crystal! Great job calling and sticking with it and finding that gobbler. I have been in that situation and it is nerve racking for sure. Good video coverage and once again, THP is getting it done.
Excellent job sticking with it Crystal. Happy you got your turkey.
Haven't even watched it yet but y'all having ur girls out there getting em fired up makes for the best video you guys will post all year. Love it! And good luck to you guys this spring.
So glad you guys were able to find that bird, good on the young lady to recover her bird…first turkey called in is an incredible accomplishment, congratulations again!!
Crystal's hunt was very much a "never give up" moment. Hunting is tough and that is partly why so few people stick to it and as you look at subgroups - young women are an infinitely small but incredibly important part of our sport. Well done and congratulations.
Young women are important to the growth of hunting. For some reason though alot of them have a preconceived notion that male hunters do not want to teach young women how to hunt, when in reality it couldn't be further from the truth.
I'm so glad you found your bird . It happens to everyone . Congratulations ...
Its great to see the ladies out with you guys .
Absolutely awesome! Congratulations! I love the raw emotion in this video. THC is by far the best videos on the planet. I don't know what I'd do if you all ever quit.
Love the Slomo closeup of keith trying to put the zip tie on the wrong way lol. Great job for finding that bird and putting him down it happens to all of us but makes us grow as hunters just lessons learned
Awesome job sticking with it .. we all go through the learning curve ...
Great hunt to watch. I had a bad shot last year and never found the bird after looking for almost 3 hours. I have gone back and forth about getting back in the woods again this spring but the lessons I learned in this video have given me the nudge needed. I’m a newbie but the passion is real. 36 days until Wisco opener and I will be ready. Just wish I had a support team like Crystal has!
Watching Crystal made me so happy. You guys made a great team.
Congratulations Keith and Crystal!! That was awesome how you stuck with it and found him.
Awesome job girls👍Crystal will be called the official turkey tracker
Aewsome segment!!! Congrats to both hunters. Crystal it happens! I had an exgf breast shot one. After about an hour I seen him. Very much alive we ended up in a wild rose bush in a fence row. My exgf had the gun 100yrds away. I still wear the scars that bird, fence, and rose bush put on me. She ended up choking the bird out. And it took well over 20min to cut me out. Sometimes its best if the battles are not forgotten. God bless THP and crew on the 2022 season coming up. Thanks for the entertainment.
Maine is a beautiful place. A few years ago my wife drew a moose tag. All 4'11" of her. Built a. 308 for her, hunted 4 days, 1 175 yd shot later we headed to a processor. Spent the next few days around Ft. Kent, St. John and Eagle Lake area. Friendly, helpful people and a different culture that Oklahoma. I have preference points. My turn soon I hope. Can't wait to go back.
Glad y'all found the bird man! Its always tough to see any animal suffer like that. Great hunt and nice job on the calling, that gobbler was definitely fired up!!!
Great job sticking with it Crystal! I am glad you found your bird, you deserve it!
Now that's real hunting and emotions from hunting!! Amazing work and persistence paid off. Congratulations!
Congratulations Keith and Crystal. Crystal your perseverance really paid off, way to go.
Keep The Maine videos coming!! Glad to see you guys putting some birds down. We got a ton of birds in Maine, they’re just as thick as the ticks in some places. Hopefully you guys checked yourselves very well after every time getting out of the car. The tick population up here is really high and they carry Lyme’s as well as a couple other diseases that you don’t want.
Really appreciate the effort to recover the turkey. Good lesson for all of us.
That hunt and recovery wouldn't of made it on any other channel but this one. I'm glad you did cause there isn't one hunter out there that hasn't had this happen before . I'm glad we use Turkey loads with as many BBs as possible so it only takes one to hit the right spot and game over. The emotions of having a Tom coming in on a string and it doesn't take much after the shot that those emotions turn the opposite way after not knowing if you hit it or missed it and there very real for everyone of us and you kept after the search and it payed off and there's not a dam thing wrong with having to take a follow up shot to seal the deal. Congrats and a big ole gobbler.
Awesome video definitely congrats on the birds. Getting fired up for the season
Great job Crystal sticking with it and finishing the hunt on a positive note. Unfortunately stuff like this happens sometimes.
Kudos to you both way to go 👍Thrilled beyond words for her finishing the hunt sticking to it ! And finding the wounded warrior and Killing him congratulation’s
Decoys seem to work ok the first part of the season, but eventually birds will not only not come in to them, when they enter a field and see them, they may instantly leave. Calling can be less effective as well. Sometimes bushwacking is all that is left. Heavy late season foliage can help with that. Happy you were able to find. Rare to find a bird if it runs/flies off at the shot.
Super good learning experience for crystal good job finding the turkey! Happens to us all!
Awesome hunt's, so glad she found him! So glad you guys stuck with the search!! 🦃🦃
Hey that stuff happens good follow up you guys didn't give up and it paid off awesome job to all of you guys.
Great job Crystal, excellent job on the follow through and on the calling! You call better than mist of my buddies, but you have a good teacher! I hope you keep with it! You did great with a tough situation...
That actually makes it a better hunt when you just keep grinding & grinding until it happens. Nice tracking!
Great video. Crystal didn’t do a thing wrong. She tried her best to execute the shot. That’s hunting. It’s incredible she found the gobbler and sealed the deal. I was happy for her, yet my heart went out to her due to how upset she was. She is a very good hunter and she’s quite the good caller too!
Great hunt, awesome effort for recovery and the emotions felt are very normal for any avid sportsman!!!
I drive by that corn field everyday on my way to work. Cool to know you guys were hunting this close to home. Too bad that field has a for sale sign in it now.
Well done Crystal!! Like Jake said you stuck with it and found him. Congrats!
Another great video congrats! she did some pretty good calling also 🦃 !
That as a good idea taking your girl friends to show what its all about a feeling their going to do awesome
phenomenal hunts....love when people connect for the first time
Crystal giving you fellas a run for your money on that slate call! Outstanding work.
Great job ladies and gentlemen!!! That's some good Turkey hunting and beautiful state you guys were in? Thanks again for the content great as usual?
Well sweetie don't let it sour the good things about hunting. We all have had times that we would love to forget but it just happens. Jake seems to be the right man for the job. Hope we see more hunts of you taking birds this year . And by the way your slate is great !
Congratulations Crystal! Kudos for sticking with it!
Dang monster Turkey crystal! Congrats on the limbhanger. Hope to see you show jake up a bit more this spring.
Lesson learned don't let someone pressure you to shoot if you can't get a good shot. That said great job of finding the best angle. And really great job of keeping with it till you found him.
Crystal is becoming my favorite THP member!!!!. "I'm just a killer though!"
This is why I continue to watch this channel!! That was a real hunt!! Ups and downs, that’s hunting. Sometimes hunting is emotional, for all types of reasons. No matter how long you hunt, always learning something new. Great episode
Amazing job finding that turkey. Totally right that the large majority of hunters would not have looked for that turkey that long, or at all.
Great video and great job finding that turkey . Real cool the girls are getting to hunt and are interested in hunting.
I’m thankful they were able to find and finish the bird. The last turkey I had a shot at I wounded and didn’t recover the bird after hours and hours of searching. I’ve since moved and not had a good opportunity to hunt turkeys in a lot of years. Hopefully I’ll be able to redeem myself from that terrible shot one day.
Fun to see the rest of the fam come, well, into the woodwork! 😆
alot of birds where I'm from in NY have beard like that in the spring after a harsh winter we always speculate its from dragging in the deep snow freezing and breaking off
Ohhhhh another maine video. Keep them coming!!!!!!
Very cool. Crystals calling sounded great!
Great job Crystal! Lots of people may have given up but you stuck with it!
Awesome job Crystal!!! I would let you call for me anytime congratulations!!! Welcome to the turkey woods Whitney!!!🦃🦃
Great job man cool hunts from the mad guy to the roller coaster love this channel!!!!
Great job on the recovery!!! Many seasoned vets wouldn't have got that bird!
Best feeling in the world jake when she got really emotional same when my girlfriend shot her first deer bro ❤️💯
Great Job I’m about to hit the woods myself got 2 gobbling they on the edge of field I’m in south Mississippi
Crystal you learned a good lesson. Makes you feel bad when you make a questionable decision. I’ve chased a couple over the years. Both times I miss judged distance from my belly. Not the position you want to be in as a shooter but crazy things happen. I never shoot now unless I’m very confident it’s a good range and clear view. Hard lessons come with experience but nice you put this out there to help others learn. Wounding these great birds feels as bad as not finding a deer on a marginal bow shot. I’m glad you have the compassion in your heart. Be safe and good luck.
Crystal you should be proud of yourself young lady and way to hang in there,I think a lot of people would have given up
whoo Wisconsin referance at the end there. Almost Turkey season.
It happens to us all at some point. Doesn’t matter what one hunts. It will happen. Live and learn. The ups and downs are why we keep coming back.
Some of the best lessons learned are in the turkey woods. Take it on the chin and learn from the mistakes. Good job on sticking with it to recovery him tho. 👍🏼
Great job sticking with the search...true sportsman/woman !!!
Love the emotion! That is why we hunt.
Awesome hunts. Props to finding the turkey.
AWESOME EPISODE!
Congratulations Crystal, Zach , I know this is a year old but welcome to maine my home state. I've never seena to with a beard like ! And thanks to you the ninja hammer has put down birds! Thanks Brother!
Keep the episodes coming!!
My dad killed a bird 3 years ago. The beard was completely beard rotted. Basically the stub and a couple strands. Definitely unique. Hard freezes year before.
Awesome! It happens to us all!! Keep on keeping on! Lol God bless 😊
Congrats
Good job Crystal persistence pays off sometimes
Awesome job you guys and, great recovery!👊😎🦃🦃🦃
When I was younger I shot one at about 35 didn't have a turkey choke and also hit some brush, it ran/flew off and I was able to find it. Sometimes it happens
Great hunts gang good job !!!!
OUTSTANDING Videos! Crystal is a NATURAL! Jake how many miles on Your Pilot now!!??
So awesome and happy she was able to recover her bird!! It happens to us all and jakes right you don’t recover them most times like that! Way to stick to it!!!
Great tracking and terrific patience, way to stick with it. This happens to all of us.
Good shot crystal and good calling
Way to hang with him guys…….. congrats from Bama 🦃🦉🦃
Them are hard birds to come up with. Good on her for huntin that sucker down and gettin her bird.
Awesome job Crystal!!!!
Hey Folks what a Great Couple of Hunts! You Guys are very Fortunate to have great Girlfriends. Whitney in Strata TrueTimber Camo. What no Mossy Oak!!??😄😆😂🤣I actually just burnt my Birthday and Christmas Gift Cards and bought a bunch of Strata myself. Curious to see if it's as good as my ASAT.
Congratulations all
Great job. Congratulations. Nice bird🦃
Just wanted to say the first bird didn't have beard rot. Up here in Maine these birds beards will freeze in the snow and break off. Sometimes you'll see birds with 3/4 and inch spurs with no beard because the entire beard froze and broke off. Just something I figured you guys would like to know. Awesome videos. I watch you guys all the time.
Great job guys, especially Crystal
