- It was my great pleasure today to interview #troyfautanu the #washingtonhuskies offensive tackle. Not only is he one of the best players in the 2024 NFL draft, he's also an engaging and interesting person to speak to. Whether you're a #Seahawks fan hoping all the mocks are true or a general #NFLDraft enthusiast, you'll want to check out this conversation!
Big thank you Troy for his time - Спорт
I love guys like Fautanu "I'm not down for all that show...I just wanna play football and provide for my family.."
What a great dude, would love to have him on the Seahawks!
I'd love to have him as a Seahawk, he would be such an ideal fit (unfortunately, I don't think he'll be available for Seattle). Great interview.
Goosebumps! If Troy doesn’t represent a Seahawk down to his core, I don’t know who does. Thank you so much Rob for making this interview happen!
All the interviews over the years have been great but this year Rob's had some killer interviews.
Great interview. Hoping we get to hear Fautanu say he was a little surprised getting drafted by Seattle; since he didn't really hear from them alot.
This interview only made me want to see him there at #16 even more.
Outstanding interview Rob and what an incredible young man. He has his head screwed on right and the reason for him staying home the night of the draft 🥹🥹💚💙 Hope he becomes a Seahawk, he seems like a perfect character fit ❤
Really want him in Seattle. Also Rob has been COOKING with the Draft coverage interviews this offseason. Im a little late to watching this one, but definitely a great interview. From the interview Troy feels like a guy who’s calm and assertive, also hella chill. My cousin was telling me that he saw him at SeaTac shorty after the loss in the championship, he didn’t say hi tho for some reason. Troy was chill tho taking pictures with fans
Great interview Rob! Love Troy so much. Just breathes everything football and has the perfect mentality for OL. Whoever gets him will be blessed. I hope he lands in a good spot for him and his family. Cheers Rob again well done.
What an engaging young man, the grandmother thing is a real heart tugger.............please let him slip to the Hawks.
Perhaps the most important things he talked about were the abilities of Huff and Grubb...........we've needed better coaching for too many years.
Great interview Rob.
Fautanu is a very impressive guy.
Been between Him and Byron Murphy for an ideal stick and pick at 16. Actually hearing Troy speak and discuss how he views the game, he’s my favorite prospect this year by far
Great interview Rob, would love Troy to be a Seahawk.
Have been a fan of the trade-back this whole time, but if Troy is available at 16....this interview may have helped me change my mind.
That was a treat Rob, thanks
What a great listen!
awesome interview!! hope he lasts to 16
Great interview!
Awesome thanks appreciate the podcast. Go Hawks 🏈 💙 💚 would be great pick.
This guy is going to make us Husky fans proud at the next level. As a Hawks fan, I'm selfishly praying he somehow makes his way to us.
future seahawk (hopefully)
I would love to have such a man on the Seahawks. He presents as incredibly mature and is obviously an incredible athlete.
With that said, even if we don’t get him, I’m even more excited to see what Scott Huff and Grubb are able to do with Olu Olu, Anthony Bradford, Cross, Lucas and the rest of our line, whether it includes Fautanu or Rosengarten or whoever else.
Thank you
What an outstanding interview rob
Man Troy would be a great 👍 fit in Seattle
Very enjoyable interview Rob. Really glad you got Troy to join you.
What an interview! I don't think there's a better prospect for the Seahawks than Fautanu. Sadly, he'll likely be long gone before they get the chance to draft him.
Nice job, so torn on the chance to have this guy on the roster versus trading back.
I am not anymore. If we get Fautanu or Brock Bowers, I’m a stick and pick fan. In all the mock drafts I’ve done, not trading back and getting three or four top 100 picks really sucks, but having this guy on our team would make it all worth it.
All of our needs besides LG are better described as future (‘25) needs as opposed to ‘24.
Awesome interview! This guy is fire!
Who ever gets lucky enough to draft Fautanu is getting a FRANCHISE guard and future OFFENSIVE CAPTAIN for the next 10 years.
I’d say a franchise tackle
@@robstatonfootball Just hedging my bets, but you are probably right
@@robstatonfootball BTW Rob, fantastic interview....great probing questions that drew out very intelligent responses.
@@nomadbrad6391 Thank you!
I’m so excited to be a 12 rn. Everything is in front of us y’all! The way he talks about Huff gives me goosebumps 😅
Love this guy!
This is why I'm happy we got his coaches on our team I'm sure they would be pounding the table if we had a chance at drafting him playing violent is what we need on the oline and the dline for that matter, he's a great kid and I wish him all the best in his NFL career hopefully as a hawk kaaaa kaaa kaaa 😅
Seahawks really only have one need on the starting lineup. Everything we could use besides LG is more so a need for ‘25 or beyond. We need to give Bradford and Olu a chance with Huff and Grubb before those are really needs, and with how FA went, we covered all of our bases for this year. Obviously, with all the 1 yr deals and questionable starters (Woolen, Olu, Bradford, the Safeties, the LB’s), we have a lot of needs coming up next year and the backup spots we need to fill now. But ultimately, if Fautanu makes it to 16 and the Hawks take him, the draft is a success no matter what happens afterwards.
🎉🎉
Another great interview
What a great young man, will never make it to 16 unfortunately!
If he is at 16 the Hawks I think will run to the podium and get this lad.
This has got to be the pick if he's available
He played great at U-Dub. Would be cool to draft this guy.
I want a big stack of pancakes with extra butter and syrup ..... this "kid" is the one to grab, if available.
His comments about Penix Jr..... he knows who really a potentially great QB in this draft.
I would really really like to see him in a Seahawk uniforrm. Imagine this guy opening holes for K-9.
That's a bad ass hat Rob..
It'd be a great pic, but would probably be cougar law that Abe Lucas threw down. A dog coming for his spot....
I would love to draft this guy at 16. If he's not there then trade back.
Please let the league sleep on him til #16
You manage to sell me on every guy you interview but he might be the best of them
If he’s there at 16 (I doubt he will be), but we better have his name written down already.
If he were there, I’d there any way we keep him at LT and move Cross into LG?
I think he's a better LT than Cross, for sure
Everyone is saying this is who we pick. My bet is it’s not going to be who we get.
What a get this guy would be at 16
