About two years ago I took over three bearded dragons that were horribly treated by their previous owner. The enclosure was way too small and they only got mealworms. Adult bearded dragons should get about 90% vegetables, but the owner just threw mealworms in the enclosure every now and then.
I knew they would die soon, because their livers were badly damaged. But I still had some hope, that if treated right, they would live longer. I gave them everything they needed; a big enclosure, everyday freshly cut and cleaned vegetables from our local farmer, day light lamps etc.
They got used to me pretty quickly and they even climbed onto my hand whenever I put my hands into the enclosure.
Sadly they passed away one year after I got them. I was so sad, because I’ve put my heart and soul into those three little guys and they died anyway. I’m still sad to this day :(

Whenever i give my Beardie , Hugo a bath, he sees himself in the mirror sometimes and thinks its another dragon! It is so funny and cute to watch. I think he has figured it out now though. lmao

Hey, I’m a reptile breeder of 7 years, when I feed my animals theirs always that feeling of such aw. I’ve fed my reptiles more times then I can count, and I’m still in such awe when they feed. It never gets old. Wbu Emma

Joshua Prick To be fair, she’s slightly stunted due to her care before she came to me, but I cringe when I see the captive beardies with huge, round middles. They’re not supposed to look like that! I try to keep Bad Idea looking like the ones I’ve seen in the wild in Australia x

Joshua Prick are wrinkles on their back normal ??? My female ALWAYS has a nice round little belly on her and my male ALWAYS looks skinny with wrinkles on his back. I feed them the same amount everyday. I've even taken him to the vet with a poop sample to test for anykind of worms or parasites and everything came back normal :( so are males meant to be skinnier than females ??

What kind of greens are you giving your dragon? I had to experiment to find which greens mine would eat (she loves turnip greens).
Clarke’s Studio ive had my spike for just over a year and he will NOT eat Salad no matter what I try, might try blueberries I was watching a video yesterday of one going crazy for them maybe they could convince him to try new things :) that's my next trick lol.

Shaye Mandy mine loves blueberries, I keep my dragon’s salads colorful. You could also try to add protein cubes to his salads.

My beardie is not a lizard at heart. It’s a pupper. We play fetch with super worms but he doesn’t return them. Ignores the cat, and always jumps up on the bed to sleep. Yup that’s a pupper.

On a side note, when my mom and stepdad still raised bearded dragons, the only one we named was called Cupid. We called him such because he had a reddish tint on him and it was around Valentine’s Day when we got him. I miss him and I hope that I could get a bearded dragon as a pet in the future.

We had a bearded dragon in my pre vet class, his name is Garth 😂😂😂 we absolutely adored the little guy ❤❤❤
Honestly, in my opinion bearded dragons are can be one of the smartest ctreatures I know. My aunt always tells me how her female named Yoda is so smart that she would smear herself in her own excretions, just so that she could roam around the house. Some part of me believes thay she knows that if she smears herself in excretions she would have told be given a bath. By the love your channel I subscribed not to long ago, I hope to see more videos on your channel in the future.

Such a great video! I don't usually comment on videos but bearded dragons are close to my heart. I rescued a beardie 10 years ago who had only one leg and half a tail. All these years later and she's still doing amazing and has more personality then some people. Best decision I ever made. Everyone she meets, she wins over, she is such a great reptile ambassador. I love your channel, you are such an inspiration! Keep up the good work :D

My beardie is now 5 and he is such an amazing pet. Their personalities are a little sassy but also sweet depending on if they want to be handled or no. My boy is a German giant breed so he is a very large boy but I wouldn’t give him up for the world. Love you em!!

My beardie, Mushu, used to watch TV with me all of the time. Like, fully uninterested in commercials, only watched the actual show. He would also always try to steal my strawberries if I was snacking on them. If there were red spots on clothing or anything, he would always try to eat it!

My bearded dragon turned 2 this year! He would go straight for hornworms! We get our leashes from Lizard Lovers on Etsy and I have a feeling that's where you got the wings from :) We always have dubia and supers and I think he loves dandelion greens ( he refuses to eat salad while I watch but I hear him eating from my bed...). He loves to RUN outside in the summer and wiggles himself into a comfortable position in my bed if it gets towards his bedtime. I would say the biggest indicators of personality are the eye movements and the head tilts!

V. CUTE! I adopted my dragon from a family that had him for 4 years and couldn't take care of him or didn't want to because the kids were turning into teenagers. Could you do a feeder video? How do you keep the super worms and horn worms? Do you breed them to have a constant supply?
Nikki Ruiz We don’t breed any of the worms. we buy them by the 1000 :) Horned works should be kept upside down with their food at the top as this will help them to keep :)

I breed dubias. I got a high protein Dubia chow and they also have fresh cut apples, oranges as a treat, and basic sponge soaked in water. I also sprinkled some infant oatmeal on the bottom with the roach chow. They like dark quiet places so mine are in a tote. I bought my breeders for 25 American dollars off Amazon. It got me 10 females and 5 males. They're easy to start but take roughly 28 days before having their young and 165 to reach full maturity. My beardy loves them

Samantha Biggins Younger beardies typically aren't interested in greens as their primary diet as babies to juveniles is insects.
I've never had one refuse acorn squash. Try shredding some of that and offering it.

Sky Hart hahaha ours is similar honestly he's a hyper little bundle of crazy and interacts with our animals often NO they DO NOT do this unsupervised also our lizard is very tame and has grown up around our dog, three cats lol

Thats just the colour of her tongue. Some have a little grey (like her) and some are entirely pink x

I love you channel and I know you take great care of your animals. HOWEVER, that bearded dragon is stressed. Those pretty leopard spots on the belly and tail are stress marks. It is highly recommended you do not hold or interact with your beardie while they have these marks, as it can cause a lot more stress. These marks can even be caused by a new environment. Once again, I love your videos, and I know you love your animals, but please do more research about the negatives on owning a bearded dragon
Emmas Animals Thanks for your feedback. Bad Idea is a pretty chilled dragon. If she’s really stressed she will wriggle and she gets put away.

Emmas Animals my beardie has those marks all the time and has always had them. It does not mean that she is always stressed, all dragons are different.
I learned from multiple different sources that those are indeed stress marks. My young beardie had them when he was brand new and in a new environment, but after a few days they disappeared. I have also had my local exotic veterinarian confirm this.

My beardie (Ducky) is my best friend. Hes 4 years old and loves his salad. I got him from a local breader who was keeping to many in one cage. Ducky is also very small just like Bad Idea. I think do to how he was kept his first year. I can say he sure has his own personality and is such a cuddle bug :) im recently cleaning my spare room too make room for my friends beardie. My friend doesnt have the time his beardie needs to be happy. As a stay at home mom, i have the time and the love to give 💚💚
i just rescued a bearded dragon three weeks ago.( never owned one before) he/she could barely hold her self up. now she is fantastic and full of life! ( my community has been very helpful by giving me tanks and supplies and stuff to treat him or her for proper care. love seeing communities helping animals) i have brought her/him back to health she could barely hold her self up and now she is jumping at her worms/veggies that i feed her! :) proud mommy moment when she pooped for me. before she/he was only pooping once every three days and had to coach her to poop lol by talking to her and putting her in water and taking her out for walks. now its once a day. For not having a bearded dragon before, their care is decent as long as if you pay attention to them and do the research like you said. i love my beardie! and Bad Idea is cute! just started watching your videos 3 days ago you have been awesome help thank you
