Fun fact: The bassist Chris Wolstenholme was originally a drummer from a different band. When he joined Muse, he became the bassist with a great "spirit of sacrifice", learning and improving his technique overtime with the band. And now WE FREAKING LOVE HIM
Muse are genius, not only is their newest song increasing their fan base and demographic, its also getting people to listen to their earlier stuff. Which is amazing because I love their earlier stuff. Nice reaction to a great song...doesn't matter what live version you choose, so long as video and audio quality is good.
I love Dead Star so much! The riff, the screams and the weird noises he makes in the verses. Also, many of Muse's songs sound like love songs but have political undertones, so there's like that double interpretation there. In terms of heaviness I also recommend 'Yes Please' and 'Execution Commentary' (this latter is just them messing around, but still has a cool riff).
Yeah, I thought about it while editing that it is kinda one of those songs that has a double meaning (which I absolutely adore)! Will be cool to dive into the lyrical content of their other material as well :D Writing those 2 songs down!!
@@KeCk60 Great! Although now that I think about it 'Execution commentary' is more of a meme. You can listen to it by yourself or put both in one video, cause it's really just nonsense with a nice riff haha
Hello from France, please check the small print' live from Earl's court 2002, amazing track Matt and Chris sharing the vocals, this will punch you right in the face, one of my favorite among a lot of others, I am a huge MUSE fan with 22 concerts, because you have to see them live to appreciate them at their right level, 3 geniuses
Muse played in a club in Manhattan on 9/10/2001. Their next show was in Boston so they flew out that night rather than stay in NY. The next morning 9/11, they were stranded in Boston for days as air travel stopped. Matt wrote Dead Star and In Your World during this time. Like your content!
great reaction keck this song by muse was the first song that introduced me to the band back in the day on mtv2 & still holds up till this day the band recorded another song prior to deadstar called in your world both songs were recorded as a double single check it out.😀 keep the reactions coming bro well done.😀🤘
Hullabaloo is the best live version of this! They had written it in September of 2001, after the 9/11 Terrorist attack on the U.S. They opened the Hullabaloo show with it, even though they only released it very soon before the show. That Hullabaloo show is NUTZ!!
You need to listen to Muse live: Citizen Erased - Glastonbury 2004 Micro Cuts - Hullabaloo New Born - Glastonbury 2004 or Wembley 2007 Hyper Music - Jool Holland Show
Old Muse fan here. Finding it kinda funny that people are discovering Muse because of the latest single but hey - that's all good by me! Hands up who thinks Muse & BMTH have some real similarities in that they aren't afraid to try a wide range of styles but still sound like themselves no matter what they do.
If you can spare about an hour, I recommend listening to their complete live performance at Montreux 2002. It‘s extremely heavy and their energy on stage is just incredible. Also a lot of their heavier songs are from this period, so you‘ll actually hear a bunch of them in one go. Thank me later ;) If you‘ve not got the time, I‘d recommend some performances that have not been mentioned so far: - The Small Print and Stockholm Syndrome from Earls Court 2004 - Citizen Erased and Micro Cuts from Hullabaloo DvD (actually the whole gig, it‘s bonkers) - Dead Star at V-Festival 2008
Checking out a complete live show could be cool to do on stream maybe.. As long as the stream doesn't get blocked lmao. I'll figure out what i'm gonna do with that :D Writing down all of those though!!
I'm a very old Muse fan, fuckin' happy about going back to their original heavy sounds that, in my opinion, they really never lost. Can I suggest you to react to Assassin Live at Mayan in 2015? ruclips.net/video/AaIY_8k284I/видео.html
@@KeCk60 you better bro, as for live performances Micro Cuts at Montreux 2002 is insane, and muscle museum bangs live or not (not sure if I got to request it on stream)

@@KeCk60 The 2006 Shepard Bush version of Assassins is better, more aggressive and compact.
His voice is fucked in the Mayan gig. 2006 versions better
