Last year I did the same setup like you have. As source I used my AMIKO A5 4K COMBO and put on NASA UHD. My friends were confused on how a CRT TV can receive a 4K channel on analog. And there was no SCART or RCA connection just the antenna coax cable. They didn't know about Converters and RF modulator. No to mention connecting a PS4 an playing GTA 5 on a CRT.
I am glad I found your RUclips channel: we purchased this small device early this week and it arrived yesterday. Our small kitchen TV - Vizio 27-in - broke a couple of weeks ago and I have been unsuccessful in finding a small TV that meets our maximum height requirement - no taller than 17 1/2-inches. I retrieved our smallest TV - Sylvania 15-inch TV (Model # LC155SL8P) LCD HDTV
- that has been stowed in one of the bedroom closets to replace our Vizio-TV. I initially installed it without the USB power and it worked fine, but until I read the specifications again I used one of my old USB plugin chargers. Hey! I had that same RF modulator, I used it on my flat screen tv and I flicked a switch that went to 115v, and it shut off like a REAL analog sign off.
Yes, the colour test pattern thing is cool, neat that it does that.
Is there one device which will do what the converter and modulator together do? That is HDMI to coaxial?
I would recommend an dual or trishield RCA cable I had some interferences because of the RCA cable.
Also use HDMI TO VGA and VGA to Video.
I have a small Daewoo that only has the yellow and white inputs, can I just get the HDMI converter with the RCA cables and only use the yellow and white input to the TV? I want to hook up Roku to it. Do I need the RF modulator as well?
The HDMI converter would work fine. No RF modulator needed in your situation.

Did you try running the USB power into the adapter? might be needed for upscaling to 1080... I don't see it plugged in, which is why I ask...
It is plugged in. It won’t work without power. In the scenes where no power cord is shown those are for demonstration only. In the scenes with the content on different channels, the adapter is powered. Thanks for watching!
will this work going to an analogue tv or do I need a digital signal converter box too like they came out with when everyone switched over to digital over the air signals?
It will work with an analog TV as well.
US / Canadian Samsung LCD and LED TVs doesn’t work on PAL, PAL-N nor SECAM. works on PAL colour, but having problems with 625 line video that stretched down on AV inputs. AV inputs on Samsung Smart LED TVs (US/Canada), only works with any 525 line video systems: NTSC, NTSC-J, PAL-M, NTSC 4.43, PAL 60 (525 lines only).

@@NorthcoasterHobby Sony Bravia 2010 model from Canada (120 - 240V), with SECAM PAL NTSC multisystem video inputs, for analog TV tuner (US standard), also accepts only NTSC, PAL-M, and PAL-N in full colour. Using RF modulator TM-70 or channel 3/4 modulators.
Would this work to send a digital audio signal from Zone 1 to Zone 2 on my Yamaha receiver. The reason is zone 2 only accepts either internet radio or analog signal. Do it would be HDMI to RCA. THANKS!! Great video! 0:15 by the way, the goal is to be able to have Zone 1 and 2 to simultaneously play the same Fire TV digital signal from the YAMAHA AVR.

You might have to set the video resolution output to 480p for it to work.

So I have an old 1995 TV I'd like to use as a monitor for streaming things on from my computer to the TV. The TV only has a coaxial plug and no RCA plugs so I assume I can use an adapter that connects directly from HDMI to coaxial. I want to know if this is possible since I have seen these types of adapters on amazon but I'm still suspicious that it may affect the quality of the connection if it is even true that I can connect directly from HDMI to coax. Furthermore, I've seen quite a few RUclips tutorials that use RCA and have yet to see one that uses an adapter that connects directly from HDMI to coax.
With that being said, is it possible? Can I connect HDMI to Coax without the need for RCA?
Radio Shack used to make such an adapter. Model 1500664. But I don't know about current availability.

It was because in that particular example I was using the VCR as a way to convert the RCA signal to an RF signal. The VCR modulates the signal to RF channel 3 or4.
Could I use an HDMI to BNC converter then just a BNC to type F coaxial adapter?

Hey. Can I cut a coaxial cable in half and then cut an hdmi cable in half and wire the two together that way? I found my old portable tv that still works and I want to connect my Roku express to it. My Roku runs off of usb power.
That won’t work. An HDMI signal is digital. coaxial would be analog. Use the adapter, it’s the best way.
@@NorthcoasterHobby Ok. Thanks. It would be cool if I could do that. I wish my Roku had capabilities with the coaxial output! I would’ve been able to take a portable battery bank to it, and screw a coax cable into my portable tv and to the Roku.
@@thecolorenhancmentchannel432 I get what you’re saying but the HDMI to RCA converts the signal from digital to analog, then the RCA signal can be modulated to an RF TV channel.

They make a reverse device like the one I use in the video. It’s an RCA to HDMI converter. You would still have to adapt the coaxial cable to RCA, and they make plug adapter ends for those too. Thanks for watching!

Do you mean a device with pass through via RCA? Even a VCR could be used for that purpose. You wouldn’t need a modulator then.
