People aren't naturally selfish and greedy. Our brains are wired to be empathetic and kind but most humans are damaged due to bad parenting and a toxic culture.

The most cost effective way today to 'enjoy' yourself is to play a subscription based computer game - $20 -$30 per month progress in your chosen game until you become sick of it, then find a new one.....rinse and repeat 10 years later you have 'saved' on your entertainment enough to perhaps afford a holiday
Doesn't everything cost money now in a way that never happened when I was very young (dob 1977). Any social club or activity requires a subscription or substantial start up cost. Team sports; need a costume / protective gear / appropriate foot ware plus the monthly fees and paying the referee fees each game / travel expense. Harriett mentions Bowling - we use to have a league and it cost £1 per game - not so now - pay the market cost....
You want fun and social connection ? Well that has a market value now so pay up. Average wage earners cannot afford a social life anymore

These days, it isn't uncommon to have two people the household working 3 to 5 part time jobs each. Most of these part time jobs are Gig jobs, so they are low pay, and there are no worker protections. Compare this to 52 years ago when one income was enough pay for a middle class lifestyle. A man could support his family with one income, have a 3 bedroom + 2 bath home, 2 cars, and a white picket fence. If you want that today, you need to make about $150,000+/year or more. That kind of lifestyle isn't possible for most people today.

Racism, sexism, you name it the media (owned by the rich) propagandists are right there, driving a wedge into the working class. 😊

Thomas Szasz, R.D. Laing, Franco Basaglia, and other psychiatrists fought against psychiatry throughout their careers.
Robert F. Kennedy Jr. taught me that democrats started taking big pharma lobbyist money in huge numbers as part of the Obamacare deal passing.
I believe in Mitbestimmung. And worker unions for corporations, not small businesses. But, good democracy isn’t always consensus. The majority can be in the wrong and often are. If people keep that in mind, socialism has a chance, if they don’t, socialism is bad.
As for taxes, it needs to be for profit, not revenue. I learned that from Sam Seder on the PDB podcast.

Fraad seems to be promulgating some weird, outdated stereotypes and tropes week after week... The idea that poor men aren't finding wives because they're poor, and then not mentioning that the reverse is also true today: it all seems to be a matter of status now.
I think Harriet Fraad should set up a fake, young female dating app profile (just do it ethically), so she can actually understand how things are today.
